BURNLEY manager Sean Dyche said he would not be over-analysing defeat to Accrington Stanley, in the club's first domestic friendly.

The Clarets trailed 3-0 to their League Two neighbours in the first 10 minutes.

Goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz, from the spot, and newest recruit Jelle Vossen on his unofficial debut made it 3-2 at the break, before Matt Crooks added his second of e afternoon to make it 4-2 to Stanley.

But Dyche said his attentions are all on his players' fitness at this stage of pre-season.

"You saw the players not only playing but running at half-time and afterwards. It's a loading day for us," he said.

"We obviously want to get the players' eyes in, of course, but there is a time when it is purely fitness, and that's how we looked at this game.

"It is the first real game, we'll certainly not be reading too much into it.

"The players have worked tremendously hard this week, everyone knows the physicality of the group, and to get to that level there needs to be work, so that is the key."

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton missed the friendly with a minor finger injury while captain Jason Shackell, who missed the opening friendly against Etoile Carouge with a calf problem, sat out today's game with a back problem.

Defender Michael Keane was not included in the squad as he had only just returned to training following his involvement with England Under-21s.
