SEAN Dyche felt his Burnley side were not clinical enough in front of goal in their 0-0 draw at home to Stoke City this afternoon.

The Clarets had a number of chances in the first half but Stoke keeper Jack Butland denied both Danny Ings and David Jones.

Dyche said: “Over the 90 minutes and certainly the first 20-odd, the clinical edge that you need at any level of football is just sometimes harder to find at this level.

“The game should have been done really in the first 15 or 20 minutes. We had three great chances and didn’t take them.

“That has been the frustration all season and that is the reality of playing at a high level. You have to take chances, you have to make those moments yours.

“Once again it was generally a good performance, solid, we defended very well. Good shape, good energy, made chances, but you’ve got to take them.

“That’s the frustration this season.”
