Danny Ings will go in the summer. Who can Burnley not afford to lose, and why?

Andrew Kerin

ABSOLUTE priority has to be to keep Sean Dyche. Losing him would be a massive blow that would seriously impede our ability to bounce straight back.

Player-wise we simply cannot afford to lose Dean Marney. We don’t win games without him and our fate was probably sealed the day he got injured. He was pivotal to our recent success.

Kieran Trippier’s assists in the Championship are essential but we will have a battle to keep him.

I would be upset to lose Tom Heaton as he has galvanised our defence.

I THINK the likes of Jason Shackell and Tom Heaton may well generate interest from elsewhere.

To lose either or both would be a blow as it is probably between them two for this season’s player of the year.

The one I think we’d really struggle to replace though is Kieran Trippier.

He’s an excellent crosser of the ball and the defensive side of his game has really come on.

Hopefully we can keep most of the squad and with a few additions, have a good go at going straight back up.
