SAM Vokes is a doubt for tomorrow’s game at West Ham United with the thigh injury which ruled him out last weekend.

After nine months out with a ruptured cruciate knee ligament the striker made his first Premier League start of the season against Manchester City just six games ago, in what has proved to be the last game in which the Clarets won and scored.

Vokes has also returned to the international scene with Wales.

But, although his latest setback is not thought to be serious, Sean Dyche said the striker may be absent for a second game in a row.

“Sam’s still got a minor thigh (problem),” said the Burnley boss, who will give Vokes every chance to prove his fitness.

“We’ll see. He’s touch and go.

“Apart from the long-term lads everyone else is good.”

Midfielder Dean Marney and defender Kevin Long had their seasons cut short by cruciate knee ligament injuries.
