PEOPLE might disagree but for me Saturday’s game was another case of what might have been.

Yes, Arsenal enjoyed plenty of possession and at times we struggled to even get near their shadows let alone the ball.

But in the grand scheme of things they had one real chance and took it. Tom Heaton, aside from a couple of corners, was a bystander for the most part.

David Ospina in the Gunners’ goal had more to do, saving smartly from Sam Vokes early on after the big man had ghosted past Per Mertesacker with ease and then palming away a Kieran Trippier free-kick.

We had other half chances but I just wish we were a tad more clinical in the final third.

I know that has been the worry all season but with six games to go we really need to find the back of the net a bit more.

I still believe that destiny is in our own hands but there’s going to be plenty of twists and turns in the next few weeks.

To be fair the last six games of the season are going to be a rollercoaster ride for all involved and I wouldn’t bet against the bottom three being completely different by the end of the season.

Leicester City’s win at West Brom gave Nigel Pearson’s side a real survival boost while plunging the Baggies right back in it.

West Brom have a tough run in. Sunderland were smashed 4-1 at home to Crystal Palace and looked like a team incapable of defending so they’re in the mire.

Aston Villa’s win at Spurs is probably enough to count them out of the race but with only a trip to Manchester City in their run-in seen as one which looks un-winnable.

Hull City, as I’ve said before, look doomed.

If I was a betting man my money would be on Sunderland, Hull and one other being relegated.

I just hope my positivity around our own survival chances bears fruit.
