BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche felt his side were full value for a draw in today's stalemate with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Clarets drew 0-0 with Spurs at Turf Moor to leave them 18th in the Premier League table. Sunderland's win over Newcastle United meant that Burnley are two points from safety with seven games left to play.

There were few clear cut chances at Turf Moor, with Danny Ings having the best chance of the match early on as he fired straight at keeper Michel Vorm. Burnley were able to keep Tottenham's in-form striker Harry Kane quiet and secure an important point.

“I think we edged the game but it was a funny kind of game,” Dyche said.

“I think the weather played its part, it’s hard on that turn of the weather when it’s been freezing cold and then suddenly the sun shines.

“I thought we progressed through that and kept the tempo and the pressing high and I was really pleased with the lads’ performance.

“I think we edged it overall, we didn’t take all three but certainly deserving of a point, that’s for sure."
