BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche felt his side delivered only their second poor performance of the season in this afternoon’s 3-2 home loss to Crystal Palace.

The Clarets manager admitted his side were not at their best as they let a 2-0 lead slip to fall to defeat at Turf Moor.

Dyche similarly held his hands up after Burnley’s 4-0 loss at West Bromwich Albion earlier in the season and felt this was his side’s second poor display of the campaign.

“We got a 2-0 lead and I didn’t really feel comfortable with how the team was performing if I’m honest,” he said.

“We didn’t start particularly well, it was unusual for us, we just looked slightly off for all the details we do well.

“If you don’t do them well enough then you will get hurt.

“It was probably a bit harsh on us to lose the game but they’ve done well enough to win it. We’ve done that to other teams, sometimes it’s the way you have to win games.

“I must say there have only been two really below par performances this season, the other performances have been very good.

“We had one other performance this season when we were off the mark and got beat.”
