BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche was reasonably content with a point at Crystal Palace – despite Scott Arfield’s late penalty miss.

A goalless draw at Selhurst Park lifted the Clarets off the bottom of the Premier League table, although they had a great chance to secure all three points with five minutes left when Arfield saw a penalty saved by Julian Speroni.

Dyche, though, was fairly satisfied with the result, as Palace played their first home game since manager Neil Warnock returned to the club.

“I wouldn’t say delighted, but I’m pleased I would say,” Dyche said.

“Neil’s back at this club, the first game at home, and we knew that would add a theme to the game for their fans and their players.

“But I thought we coped and handled it very well overall.

“Scott is a terrific lad and the lads admire him for his work ethic and his quality, and so do our fans.

“So I just think it (the penalty miss) is one of those things, I really do.”
