NOTTINGHAM Forest boss Stuart Pearce has confirmed Burnley's continuing interest in midfielder Henri Lansbury - but stressed he does not want to sell.
The Clarets are attempting to strengthen their midfield in the final month of the transfer window and have contacted Forest about Lansbury.
The 23-year-old is reported to be happy at Forest and is said to prefer to move back to the south, where he started his career with Arsenal, should he leave the City Ground.
QPR, Fulham and Wigan Athletic have also been linked but former England under 21 boss Pearce says he wants to offer Lansbury a new contract at Forest.
"It is one of those things that is in discussion," Pearce said. "We do not want him to leave this football club.
“Burnley have shown an interest in him, but they have not met our valuation of the player.
“I had a good relationship with Henri, working with him with the under 21s and I hope to maintain that here.”
