THEY say that money can't buy you happiness and for the second time this season QPR boss Harry Redknapp found that out the hard way.

A late equaliser for the West Londoners may have handed Harry a share of the spoils but make no mistake, his side were second best, especially in the second half.

By the time substitute Modibo Maiga slotted home from a yard out to tie the contest at 3-3, the Clarets really should have been out of sight.

Having twice been behind to sloppy goal, the first a free header from debutant Kevin Doyle, the second a neat volley from centre back Richard Dunne after an equally smart turn and finish from Danny Ings drew us level, the Clarets somehow found themselves 3-2 to the good thanks to two Sam Vokes goals.

The first was a typical striker’s finish, Vokes getting in front of his man to steer home from close range, the second a tap into an empty net after Ings had pick-pocketed the woeful Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

The partnership could have edged even closer to the 40-goal mark but Ings, having got behind the QPR defence, couldn’t find the finish that was needed and steered his effort wide. At 4-2 that really would have been game over.

The game was a spectacle for the neutral and the 1,500 Burnley fans who made the early trip down south almost had something else to cheer deep into stoppage time when sub Junior Stanislas robbed Assou-Ekotto again and lofted the ball over Rob Green and towards goal.

Unfortunately for the traveling faithful his effort evaded the back post and with that came the final whistle.

It says something when you come away from Loftus Road disappointed with a point but I guess that is the level of expectation now.

Dyche has a real task on his hand at trying to keep that expectation in check but the more performance like this second half one that we produce, the harder that is going to be.

The result keeps us in third place – still three behind Redknapp's big spenders – and still very much within touching distance of that two top.

A couple more wins would do us very nicely and we have a great chance to do just that next weekend at home to Millwall.
