BREAKING NEWS: Flood resigns from Burnley board

BRENDAN Flood has stepped down from his role as a Burnley director after more than six years on the board.

Flood joined the board in December 2006 and has left his position for personal reasons.

The termination of his appointment as a director has been confirmed on the Companies House website and Flood tweeted earlier today to say he needed ‘three months off’.

There will be more on this story in tomorrow's Lancashire Telegraph.

Thanks Brendan for all the hard work and finances that you have put into the club over the last six years.

Hopefully you are making way for a much richer Claret to replace you.

Got to love all the Blackburn fans with their massive ridged foreheads commenting on this thread - have you seen the shambles at your own pathetic little club? Throwing snowballs at your owners and then a protest that was one buttock short of being half-ar5ed.

Losers.

But things will be much worse for you lot. You've hung all your hopes on the washing line of regular Premiership football but someone cut that line and your clothes are strewn all over the muddy floor. Like your hopes and dreams really. Your team has found its level IF IT'S LUCKY and it will take a hell of a long time to enucleate the poisonous tumour wrapped around the club's very vitals. It's going to be ugly for you to watch but a screaming comedy to everyone fortunate enough to not have any links with soap-dodge city.

And what exactly qualifies the pre 92 era as being Burnley's glory year(s)?! The life in Division 4? The one minute away from going out the league? The vast array of superstars you had? Better stadium? Higher attendances? That'll be no, no, no, no,..... Need I go on?

What happened in 1992?

Oh of course, that's when the bitterness and anger multiplied a thousand times wasn't it.
Absolute fury and anger that one of our own was f*cking wadded and spent his money on his club. You'd think if little old Rovers had a mega rich fan then surely a club of Bonlehs huge passionate support would be able to find itself a mega wadded fan?

Maybe if you lot weren't so infatuated with all things Rovers, you wouldn't have noticed the last 20 years. Or is that 30? Ah well, at least you can get those 'above Rovers in the league for 3 weeks' t-shirts printed in time for the open top Transit mini bus celebrations.

I agree that 1992 was a black year for English football but I'd like to ask about your mega wadded fan.
Is this the same fan who put his money where his mouth was and transformed your club from perennial under achievers and bought your so called glory days? Fair play to him.
Is this the same fan who's legacy your club has tarnished by p***ing all his money and hard work up the wall?
Is he just going to be remembered as the guy who had to buy your support as well?
He'd have a fit if ha saw that your club has returned to the exact position he found it in. Ie mid table obscurity and pathetic support
You lot should take a leaf out of his book and support your pop and crisps outfit instead of coming on here trying to get one over on us.

No Tod wrong again.

1992 was a bad year for YOU, not English football. That's because the rest of English football hasn't been diseased with poison and hate for another club quite like you clog wearing oddballs in rivalry you exist for.

If Jack bought our support, who bought yours? Ours lasted twenty seasons, yours lasted one. Whats your excuse? Owen Coyle? Eddie thingy?

Funny you should chose to throw more stones in your glass house because that pathetic support you mention is still higher than yours. Explain that one eh? I thought you took 3 million fans to Wembley when Bonleh fans took London over - again? Where are they? Why is there only 10,000 at Turd every other week? Have Venkys bought you lot aswell?

If you think I'm coming on here to 'get one over on you' I'm afraid your getting me confused with the hoards of dingles who constantly post on all things Rovers. Sad really eh?

I've never posted anything on rovers boards because I just don't care.

So hoards of burnley fans go on do they? You can't have it both ways, either we're well supported or not.
You should be getting more supporters muppet. Bigger town, catchment area etc as should PNE and Bolton yet our attendances are similar.
You've obviously forgotten the pre walker period when we were getting bigger crowds in the 4th division than you were two divisions above.
Oh no you haven't forgotten, you just weren't there to see it were you?

As easy at is, I can't be ar5ed proving your very weak retorts wrong. If you google it though you'll see the harsh truth that your cardboard club just doesn't cut the mustard. More success, higher attendances, more derby wins - we've done the lot me old china. The truth hurts eh?

Oh and I was there to see it. All of it. Every high and every low.
In my lifetime Tod when we were sh1t you were even sh1tter and when we were good, you were still sh1t.

Try harder next time ****. Tara
I know English isn't most people in Blackburn's first language but what part of I just don't care do you not understand?
The bit where you posted 6 detailed paragraphs regarding Rovers would suggest otherwise.

Sorry, I mean the glory year (one year of the Prem that you have such fond memories of). We might be in a mess, but at least we aren't you lot.[/p]
Another one who thinks football was invented in 1992. Just imagine that Simon Garner never existed.[/p]
Big kisses dare to dreamers x x[/p]
Ie mid table obscurity and pathetic support You lot should take a leaf out of his book and support your pop and crisps outfit instead of coming on here trying to get one over on us.[/p]
See yer - and stop foaming at the mouth x x[/p]
Oh no you haven't forgotten, you just weren't there to see it were you?[/p]
Oh I think you do care Tod, you know it and I know it. Should have built it on the pitch. Have plastic seats evolved at turd moor yet or are you still on wooden benches?
I can never understand this support for cheaper plastic seats. Many Rovers fans add comments deriding them, but the wooden seats are wider, more comfortable and warmer than the cheaper plastic ones!
