THE Clarets were held to a fourth draw in five games after Nikola Zigic grabbed a late leveller for Birmingham.

The Blues resisted early pressure from Burnley and took a 1-0 lead into the break after Curtis Davies rose unchallenged to head in Rob Hall's right wing cross.

But Sean Dyche's side roared back with two goals in two second-half minutes.

Danny Ings scored his first goal of the season in only his second start after getting in front of Davies and slotting home from the tightest of angles.

Ross Wallace added a second in as many minutes for the Clarets direct from a free kick for a foul on Ings after Birmingham had conceded possession straight from the kick-off.

The winger crashed the ball in off the underside of the bar from outside the area, with Jack Butland well beaten.

Burnley looked set to see the game out and record their second win in eight games.

But in increasingly difficult conditions as the rain poured down, Michael Duff missed a routine clearance on the edge of the box and Zigic buried a volley.

I remember when we signed Ings and Austin and the feeling from the south coast was that Ings was the better prospect.

Its starting to look like we got ANOTHER gem!

Dyche has certainly made us hard to beat and someone is gonna be on the end of a right tonkin' soon.

The second half of the season looks really promising as we continue to make progress up the league and cement our position as East Lancashires top dogs once again!

I was so surprised to see so many comments on a Turdley article, I just thought I'd have a quick nosey and wish all you hunch backed p1ss stained shell suit wearing oddballs a very Merry Christmas.

How stupid are you. We can all pick out time periods when one club has done better than another. You shower had one season of success bought by your benefactor who is now deceased. Those days are long gone and you are currently a struggling championship side. It is highly unlikely that you will ever play in the top flight again and it is far more likely that you will be playing Accrington Stanley rather than the Mighty Clarets. You seem obsessed by attendances, well take a look at yours next season. Relegated clubs always carry over a decent percent of one season wonder fans but next season whatever Division you are in you will be lucky to average over 10k even with 200 quid season tickets and a fiver a game. You my friend are living in the past. Take a look at the Championship League Table and have a look at the teams above you, not just Burnley but many others who you still wrongly consider yourselves to be `bigger` than. You are a small town club who were bought a few relatively successful seasons by Jack Walker ( including a relegation). Now it is time for you to pay.

Those days are long gone and you are currently a struggling championship side. It is highly unlikely that you will ever play in the top flight again and it is far more likely that you will be playing Accrington Stanley rather than the Mighty Clarets. You seem obsessed by attendances, well take a look at yours next season. Relegated clubs always carry over a decent percent of one season wonder fans but next season whatever Division you are in you will be lucky to average over 10k even with 200 quid season tickets and a fiver a game.
