FULL-TIME: Birmingham 2, Burnley 2
5:09pm Saturday 22nd December 2012 in News
THE Clarets were held to a fourth draw in five games after Nikola Zigic grabbed a late leveller for Birmingham.
The Blues resisted early pressure from Burnley and took a 1-0 lead into the break after Curtis Davies rose unchallenged to head in Rob Hall's right wing cross.
But Sean Dyche's side roared back with two goals in two second-half minutes.
Danny Ings scored his first goal of the season in only his second start after getting in front of Davies and slotting home from the tightest of angles.
Ross Wallace added a second in as many minutes for the Clarets direct from a free kick for a foul on Ings after Birmingham had conceded possession straight from the kick-off.
The winger crashed the ball in off the underside of the bar from outside the area, with Jack Butland well beaten.
Burnley looked set to see the game out and record their second win in eight games.
But in increasingly difficult conditions as the rain poured down, Michael Duff missed a routine clearance on the edge of the box and Zigic buried a volley.

Its starting to look like we got ANOTHER gem!
Dyche has certainly made us hard to beat and someone is gonna be on the end of a right tonkin' soon.
The second half of the season looks really promising as we continue to make progress up the league and cement our position as East Lancashires top dogs once again!

.NEWS FLASH.............NE
WS FLASH......
Police have been called to a disturbance at King Georges hall Blackburn where organisers of the local pantomime had asked for volunteers for the annual festive performance.
The request from the casting manager for "somebody to play the part of the horse's rear" had lead to the Blackburn event being inundated and a near riot situation ensued.
Calm has now been restored and social workers and physcologists have been drafted in.
No horses were harmed during the making of this post!

I should've of known the sudden surge of interest is because Bonlehs dreams of being above Rovers have come true! I suppose it's the equivalent of winning the Champions League and Premier League double for you easily pleased loonies.....
Hopefully the DVD ,sorry, Betamax copy of the 'Above Rovers In The League' open top bus parade will be available before Christmas Day so all the family can watch the celebrations on the remote control colour TV! I'll expect to see the Dare To Dream (ha ha ha ha ha ha) stickers replaced with league table stickers in the backs of the Sierras and Caravanettes to celebrate this rare event.
You must be so proud. Well done.
Love and kisses x x x

Here's a simple fact. On Christmas Day 2012 the Clarets are above Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. Have a good one! xx

and you're above us in the league because of Venkys, not merit, hence our hatred of them and your joy - simple as that.
Seeing you like to deal in facts, here's a simple fact - Burnley will never ever emulate what Blackburn Rovers have achieved. Ever. Which is why being above us in the league means so much to you. Anyway, enjoy your moment, it obviously means so much!!
Merry Christmas x x

Pray do tell us all Rovers acheivments that Burnley will never emulate .
I cannot think of 1 thing that Rovers have won that Burnley haven`t but no doubt you will enlighten me.
At the same time please let me know when you last won The Charity Shield or appeared in the quarter finals of the European Cup.

It must have dawned on you that you will never win it again and as you are the club with one of the highest wage bills with probably the lowest gate revenue, lowest commercial sales, lowest shirt sponsor revenue, lowest merchandise revenue, it's unlikely that you will ever get to the Premiership again - but at least you won it nearly twenty years ago!

We put as much stock into winning the Premier League as you do being above us in the League, or managing a draw at home against the worst Rovers side for 30 years!!
Did Bonleh get a trophy by finishing 8th in the old European Cup over 50 years ago when it wasn't take anywhere near as serious as the modern day Champions League? Nope.
Do we or have we ever claimed to be a bigger club than Liverpool, Spurs, Villa etc etc? Nope.
Have Bonleh won more major honors than Rovers? Nope.
Do Bonleh have a higher all time record attendance than Rovers? Nope.
Has Bonlehs average home attendance for the last 30 odd years been higher than Rovers? Nope.
Despite the absolute carnage and turmoil Venky's have brought to Ewood, do Bonleh now have a higher average attendance than Rovers? Nope.
Did Owen Coyle and Eddie thingy ...... God I'm bored of this now.
it'd be boring if we didn't have a bit of banter though you filthy animals!?
Merry Christmas

Thankfully you my friend have summed up dingles perfectly in your last sentence:
'Now it is time for you to pay'
They are the words of someone who has suffered humiliation, anger, bitterness, desperation and mental torture for 3 decades.
Maybe you could invent a trophy and present yourselves with it?
'B*stards Are Paying The Price For Humiliating Us For 3 Decades' trophy,
It's been a pleasure.
Merry Christmas
