FULL TIME: Middlesbrough 3 Burnley 2
10:45pm Tuesday 21st August 2012 in Burnley FC match reports
By Suzanne Geldard, Burnley FC reporter
BURNLEY were condemned to defeat at Middlesbrough this evening by a late strike in a topsy-turvy encounter.
Charlie Austin's third goal in as many games put the momentum with the visitors.
But against a side smarting from an opening day defeat at Barnsley, they expected a backlash.
It came in the form of three fearsome strikes; the first from Nicky Bailey, cancelling out Austin's header, then Adam Reach gave Middlesbrough the lead with an unstoppable effort.
Junior Stanislas cancelled it out with three minutes of normal time to go
But Luke Williams broke Burnley hearts. Soon after stepping off the bench, and just a minute after Stanislas had restored parity, the substitute crashed in the winner from 25 yards.

Listen sonny, if you are stuck for something to do this evening, now that you are *ahem* protesting this season - why don't you knock on your sister's cave door and see if she wants to play Doctors and nurses with you - again.

Gutted as we were worth a point by the end of that game. With a bit of luck, Eddie will have the money at the end of the season for a new keeper. Grant should have had their first goal. A very poor give away. Despite a decent defence, it may be the keeper that lets us down as Grant did. He looked poor in the warm up. When we felt we were on the ascendency it turned out to be a hump backed bridge. Eddie will sort it Huddersfield will get the back lash. Howe the lads

Only 2 comments against your own match report ! too busy commenting on the Rovers stories probably. It must be agony for you, jealousy is a terrible thing and I can only imagine what it must be like to go through your whole sad lives being a very poor second to Rovers.

It means you can be on more than one site at once.
For example, a great one (like claretsmad) and a crappy one (like here). It's a great way to really understand the difference between good stuff - and crap stuff.
