DAVID Edgar scored his first goals for Burnley to inspire a dramatic late fightback, with Jay Rodriguez clinching a last gasp win with his 10th goal of the season.

Burnley went into this game on the back of four straight defeats, and that run looked set to be extended when Matty Fryatt put Hull ahead in the 11th minute.

Dangerman Cameron Stewart breezed past Kieran Trippier in the left channel to cross for Fryatt to convert.

The Clarets offered little in the way of a challenge before the break, and Burnley momentarily dropped into the bottom three when Bristol City took the lead at home to Southampton.

Fryatt compounded Burnley's misery 10 minutes into the second half with a shot across Lee Grant that the keeper should have done better with.

But the Clarets had more about them after the break, with the half-time introduction of Sam Vokes, for Junior Stanislas, proving a key change.

Vokes made the ball stick up front, and linked with Rodriguez on the edge of the box, only to see the striker's shot on the turn rattle off the crossbar.

Edgar gave Burnley a lifeline in the 77th minute with a header from Ross Wallace's cross.

The defender equalised four minutes later when he chested down Vokes' flick-on and fired the ball it into the roof of the net.

Rodriguez finished superbly to win it stoppage time, driving low across Peter Gulacsi after Chris McCann worked hard to win the ball and slip an excellent pass through for the striker.
