ANDRE Amougou’s overhead kick helped Burnley come from behind to secure a late victory in tonight’s Carling Cup third round tie at home to MK Dons.

The League One side took the lead in the sixth minute as Daniel Powell after receiving a pass from former Clarets loanee Dean Bowditch.

Powell then missed a chance to make it 2-0 when he fired wide, with Jay Rodriguez twice firing wide at the other end.

Bowditch then shaved the woodwork for MK Dons but Rodriguez had a shot cleared off the line just after the interval.

The Clarets then levelled in the 58th minute when Kieran Trippier fired a 25-yard free kick into the bottom corner.

David Edgar had an effort cleared off the goal-line as Burnley pushed for a second before David Martin saved from Rodriguez, although Lee Grant had to deny Anthony McNamee at the other end.

Eddie Howe’s Clarets took the lead for the first time in the game with only a minute remaining as Amougou’s overhead kick was deflected into the net.
