BURNLEY have scotched rumours and speculation linking star winger Chris Eagles with a move away from Turf Moor to Everton.
Newspaper reports yesterday morning had suggested that the Premier League outfit had launched a bid for the former Manchester United man with manager David Moyes a fan of Eagles.
But Burnley insist they have received no approach for the in-form 25-year-old, who has scored eight goals so far this season and captured the headlines with his displays.
Burnley caretaker manager Stuart Gray said: “You want speculation because that means your players are doing well.
“That’s the pressure I put on the players, but we don’t want to lose any of our best players and at this time it’s pure speculation.”
Eagles was first linked with a move to Goodison Park last summer.
