BRIAN Laws was delighted with Burnley's second half comeback to grab a priceless point in their 1-1 draw against Stoke City last night.
Boss Laws said: “I think we could reflect on that in a few weeks’ time as a massive point.
"I’ve taken a lot of things out of the game, in particular the second half performance.
“I thought it was outstanding. The players could be forgiven for feeling sorry for themselves at half-time, we got dragged into a bit of head tennis, and we’re not good at that.
“When we got it down in the first half, it was poor passing, but the players responded magnificently in the second half.
“The first goal in the second half had to be ours, and we started well and got that goal.
“It was a terrific header from Nugent from a great ball in by (Martin) Paterson, and it set the tone.
“All of a sudden we were on the front foot and asking a lot of questions, and in the end I’m disappointed not to go on and win the game.
“But I was delighted with that response, and if we show the same commitment, drive and desire, I’m confident of getting a result.”

you lot are pathetic excuses for Wovers fans, I am Burnley through and through, and like all other PROPER burnley fans I can safely say that I have never even viewed or read let alone commented on a Wovers article on here, because i have no interest in them, they do not interest me, i support Burnley not Wovers, so its pretty pathetic that you all spend all of your time scouring the net for articles on a team you apparently hate and have no interest in, and not only take the time to read them all, but comment on them too....and you REALLY expect us to be bothered what you think of our team?!?! Get real, no-one likes us and we don't care...why on earth would we give a toss what Wovers fans think of our team, club or even us, TOGETHER WE R BURNLEY so f**k off n stick to your own articles unless they don't interest you quite as much...

LET and brian laws once again trying to con people into believing that a point at home is good enough. Fact - against bolton, portsmouth and stoke under laws stewardship you've picked up one measley point. Brian laws also spouting some of that famous old owen coyle rubbish that burnley are a passing side and like to play football. Talking of direct aerial play, how did burnley equalise against portsmouth? Assuming that burnley are going to lose all their remaining away games (which wouldn't surprise me in the slightest) then another of these 'massive' 'must win' home games has slipped by without getting a win. Presumably laws and the telegraph will consider a draw at home against wolves on saturday a massive result, whereas my prediction burnley won't reach 30 points is still on.

Now i agree with the fact that Wolves is a must win game . Defeat is'nt an option and 1 point will not be good enough. To to 4 from 6 points from these 2 home games would be a fair return. We are a passing side and yes the goal against Pompey was a punt up field by the keeper, a header on and a superb finish. We dont go direct to often and i think sometimes in this league you have to depending on the opponents. Against Stoke in the first half we got pulled into there style of play and they were lapping it up. 2nd half we played our passing game and had them on the back foot for the majority of that half. As for reaching 30 points i think we can and will do it and i still think we can pull off a great escape. Rovers pulled away from trouble stringing a little run together and thats what we must do. We cant have stop and start moments we need a run unbeaten for 4 or 5 games with at least 4 wins. Jacko if your prediction is right then i will have to give you credit but there are still 27 points to play for. UTC.
