Burnley winger Eagles lands Premier League car

CLARETS winger Chris Eagles has marked his arrival in the Premier League by splashing out on a £140,000 Lamborghini.

The 23-year-old impressed team-mates when he turned up for training in the 192mph supercar.

However, Eagles, who signed from Manchester United for £1million, has some way to go before his car collection beats some of the Premier League’s other top players.

Earlier this year Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf shelled out £420,000 on a chrome Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney’s cars reportedly include a Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental GT, Range Rover, Aston Martin Vanquish and BMW M6.

And former England captain David Beckham is believed to own cars including a Ferrari 575, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, two Bentley Arnages, a Porsche 911 Turbo, Rolls-Royce Phantom and the retro Aston Martin V8!

Not often I agree with Madari (the snake charmer) but I am with you on this one mate. True, he earns this money so it's difficult to argue against - he buys what he wants with his own money - but what a smack in the face to all Burnley fans. Friends off mine who are Burnley fans (I admit it!!) have been forced to cut holiday's short to afford season tkts for themselves and their families. Heck, I have worked all my life and can only just afford my Vauxhall Vectra!!

Big time Charlie, always has been always will be.

Pretty fast car though, just think if he gets done for speeding in September, he'll have more points than his employers!!!

Come on Rayz, spill the beans about Dunny then. I know he has had offers from Qatar but I also know he only wants to stay at Rovers. He just wants a longer deal. What do you know then mate?

Why bother lining the banks coffers with interest on the overdraft. Why don't you just PAYG it's not like there'll be any trouble getting through the turnstiles after the first few games and the reality of being in the Premier league sinks in?

Why on earth do the telegraph think we need to know about what cars players drive? If you add together the value of the Rovers players cars, it is greater than the total value of Burnley's playing squad, probably even the whole of Burnley football club
