COLIN Kazim-Richards has promised Blackburn Rovers fans he has got a lot more to come after admitting he was “nowhere near fit” in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Ipswich.
The Turkish international was Rovers’ brightest spark offensively as they struggled to a point at Portman Road, but he insists you ‘haven’t seen anything yet’.
The 25-year-old headed Rovers ahead on just 21 minutes on Saturday and was inches away from doubling the visitors’ lead after the break.
Jason Lowe’s late own goal prevented Rovers from opening their Championship campaign in victory but Kazim-Richards insists there is no need to panic.
He said: “I am happy to score but I am disappointed not to get three points “I am not fit yet, I am nowhere near fit. I missed the first three weeks of pre season, the core stuff, so these games are good for me.
“There is a lot from me to come and normally I would have buried my chances. I think we are gelling nice, there is a lot more to come from everybody because that is our first game.
“I want to play every minute of every game. If I deserve the shirt I want to play.
“We have earned a point and are not fully gelled. That says something about a team. To get a point in that heat and not be fully gelled says something about the team.
“We have top quality players, players who made the drop down when they didn’t need to. We are here to get up, that’s it.”
Rovers entertain Hull City on Wednesday, before Leicester City visit Ewood Park on Saturday, as they look to secure their first victory of the campaign.
“Obviously that is our first league game,” said Kazim-Richards. “We are disappointed not to get all three points. We created chances, I had a few and should have scored another.
“We are disappointed not to get three points but it is a point, in very hot conditions. It is a good point, well earned.
“Lowey is a top player and he will bounce back against Hull. We are like a family already. The guys are all together, banter together. And of course the manager is included in that.
“The manager brought me in, he brought most of the players in. Of course he is a part of that, it would be stupid for me, or anyone, to say he is not.”
Rovers are still waiting to hear back from Huddersfield Town over their third improved offer for striker Jordan Rhodes.
Meanwhile, midfielder Radosav Petrovic withdrew from the Blackburn squad over the weekend to hold talks with Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi about a permanent move.

Kaz, the next time the Ewood PR boys ask you to take the heat off them please don't do it. You sound stupid and since you are obviously a good player that is a pity.
The reality of Saturday is that Rovers continuing headlong plummet took them at high speed passed yet another low point as Burnley now stand above them in the league.

I've read a few of your posts now and you're either 'special' or genuinely struggling to put your thoughts into English.
Whichever way, there is no 'all the best for Kean'.
Kean is the evil at our club that not only relegated us, but kicked out anyone who saw how incompetent he is (Nelsen, Samba, Jones, Kalinic, Andrews...the list is almost endless) and replaced them with two-bob 'yes' men like Orr.
The sooner Kean is gone, the better our club will be.

Each player got there own likes and dislikes with manages and owners, Kean is an automatic choice when the previous manager sacked. Now Kean is doing his best to reunited a team and fight for clubs vision, So I feel this entire process need time and at the end we need to win each game too.
The struggle and survival to win each game will get back to stabilize the club. Kean can control now, because all new 8 players trust him and join with a deam of promotion. I want our club to back in top fight, the real game start, For this level Kean is best and he is full of positive thinking and players also like him as a Boss.

Goodwillie must feel gutted again.Im convinced if Goodwillie was given a good run of games in this division he could score goals but it looks like con man kean will keep him on the bench again.
Kean you have no idea on tactics and when i see your face on telly and listen to your constant dribble and excuses im glad my season ticket money is still in my pocket.
Mr agnew and Mr shaw have been very quiet recently what have they been doing?

In fairness we did better than the other two relegated clubs against similar opposition but we still dropped two points and we can't do that too may times without blowing our promotion hopes.
