Rovers under 18s beat Manchester United to claim title

BLACKBURN Rovers under 18s sealed their Academy league title with a 1-0 win at Manchester United today.

Schoolboy Modou Cham, 15, scored the winner just seven minutes from time having come on as a second half substitute.

Rovers saw a host of chances go begging, as they went in search of the win that would lift them above Manchester City, before Cham sealed victory late on.

Terry McPhillips' men will now face Newcastle United in a league play-off semi final at Brockhall on Saturday.
