TWO men have been summonsed to court in connection with an off-road motorbike crash near the Dream sculpture that left a 16-year-old boy with life-changing injuries.

Liam Clark remains in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital seven months on from the collision in Sutton Manor that left his life hanging in the balance.

The St Cuthberts secondary school pupil suffered traumatic head injuries, a collapsed lung and broke a vertebra in his back during the incident on Sunday, September 16 2012. He spent more than a month in coma.

Now following a lengthy police investigation, the Crown Prosecution Service has brought charges against two men.

Darren Farley, 28, of Fernhill Walk, Clock Face and Ryan Edmonds, 19, of Wray Avenue, Clock Face have been told to attend St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 29, accused of driving otherwise in accordance with their licence and having no insurance.
