VANDALS have daubed paint onto cars in Peel House Lane, Widnes.

The attacks follow a space of criminal damage across the town.

There were seven separate incidents to cars on Sunday night.

Officers from Widnes Neighbourhood Policing Unit are currently investigating the incidents and are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist with their enquiries.

Inspector Ian Whiley, of Widnes NPU, said: "Patrols have been stepped up in the area and officers are piecing together as much information as possible to ensure that those responsible for the damage are identified and dealt with.

"We would urge residents and vehicle owners to remain vigilant and for anyone who may have any information in relation to these incidents to come forward.

"Some people have already come forward to report damage to their vehicle but there might be other vehicles that have been targeted that we are unaware of and we would urge people to report these incidents to us.

"Incidents of criminal damage such as this can cause considerable upset to the victims and are not acceptable. This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
