I do not know how you gather your information but like many others on here we trek through every available source on the internet. My question is do you have to await official BRFC releases before you can issue a story as in the case of O.G.S joining us which you wrote the other day plus his photo the guy states he has not had any communication with Rovers so where did your story come from? was it the the Mirror making it up again?

Was listening to Keys & Grey this morning who had a journalist on with them (can't remember the name unfortunately) who said he knew for a 'fact' that the owners had phoned a manager to get the phone numbers of other managers they wanted to speak to about the Rovers job! They then finished the call by asking if the manager they were speaking to was interested!!!
Talk about amateurs. The journalist didn't mention any names. I know its Talksport, but still....

The fact that I don't live, or ever have lived in Blackburn, is neither here nor there. Rovers is my number sporting team, above the Springboks, and have been just as passionate about the clubs recent issues as someone who lives in Blackburn.

Andy do you think that the people who have been criticizing rovers fans are suggesting that fans from other clubs from different parts of the country would react differently to the same set of circumstances and are therefore guilty of some kind of prejudice against east lancastrians?

Move on!! It's ancient history now and we are stuck with them!
Let's look forward. With the right managerial appointment the good times could be on the way back! Questionning why the Walker's Trust sold to them is immaterial now!

Ask them and plead with them, to appoint a manager with experience this time, at championship level of above!
-
Do not appoint the guy who puts out the cones for the training sessions that a lesson to learn!

4. Experience in dealing in the media.
5. Achievement in business administration in the UK.
6. Being fit and proper people with a reputation for integrity.

8. Having a strategy for conducting ownership.
9. Being committed to devoting substantial personal attention to developing the club.
I am sure that fans could add to the list, but the point is that there is a wide chasm between Venkys and the owners the Walker Trust should have been looking for. This is very relevant to the present as it raises the questions of how Venkys represented themselves to the WT and what commitments, if any, Venkys gave about their future conduct of the club. Whatever undertakings Venkys gave they are surely in breach of them.

What is wrong with the guy with the foreign name asking if fans should live in Blackburn only a few fans live in Blackburn we all move around the country with jobs families etc etc how can he have a problem with that?I lived in the Queens Park area for 16 years and then moved away but I am now in Whalley so its only 12 miles each way to watch a game and I can breath fresh air so my mind is clear and I dont write rubbish telling everyone else where they should live.

Andy, I would like to know why the Walker Trust chose the Venky's to sell Rovers to. They were trusted to act in the interests of the club and they chose the worst possible people to sell to. Not only do Venky's not have any apparent qualifications to own the club, but upon closer experience of them they have many serious contra indicators.
I'll answer that one for you.
1 They wanted out ASAP.
2 Venky's, sadly as it quickly turned out, were the only interested buyers. God only knows why!
What qualifications do you need to own a club? A 1:1 in History? From what I can see the only qualification you need is plenty of spondulicks. I think they qualify in that department
Well, icannotrace, a few qualifications that I could think of, none of which Venky's meet, are as follows:
1. Knowledge or experience in football.
2. Prior achievement in sports management or ownership.
3. A connection with Blackburn or East Lancashire.
4. Experience in dealing in the media.
5. Achievement in business administration in the UK.
6. Being fit and proper people with a reputation for integrity.
7. Commitment to invest in the club with access to the necessary funds.
8. Having a strategy for conducting ownership.
9. Being committed to devoting substantial personal attention to developing the club.
In response to the many comments made about BRFC....
BRFC are a small town club who had been elevated to the premier league due to 'Jack Walker' and his money. Without him BRFC would be languishing in the lower leagues.
For the last 2 decades Blackburn have secured their status as a premier league club. They are an established club with premier written all over. They deserve to be up there. Their record speaks for itself over the last 20 years.
Unfortunately, a few teams have to go down every year and this time round it was BRFC.
Fortunately, BRFC will be head and shoulders better than the others in the championship and should come up sooner rather than later. With the playing staff at their disposal it should be a formality. All BRFC have not got is a fan base..dedicated supporters who will follow the club through all times. BRFC are losing the battle because their fan base is so small compared to other premier teams and also the supporters have been through difficult times with the many changes at BRFC.
Also..........
The problems did not start with Venkys taking over, rather the issues were that the Walker family & Trust did not want to back BRFC in the manner that 'Our Jack Walker' did.
The demise began from when the family of Jack walker were not prepared to back BRFC in the manner that OUR Jack Walker would have expected.
The family had been trying to sell BRFC secretly just after the death of Jack Walker....and only sold after such a long time.
There were simply no buyers for the club.
No one was prepared to part with their money for BRFC.
BRFC were extremely lucky to eventually find a buyer.
Thank God we found a buyer......!!!
Also, all the senior players were continually being told that as soon as new buyers would come in their salaries would be renegotiated so as to allow them big increases, which was a blatant lie.
The problems of BRFC started from that point on wards.
BRFC waited for many months / years to find some buyers but to no avail.
It seemed no one wanted to buy the club. Eventually Venkys bought the club.
Actually BRFC were fortunate that Venkeys did buy as there did not seem to be any other interest at all.
BRFC had no choice as the family of Jack Walker wanted to get rid of the (BRFC) family jewels.
We need to get used to the idea that foreigners own our football clubs,
If the people of Blackburn were so interested why did we not come up with a plan for the club together with the Jack Walker foundation and family.
Unfortunately, the Walker family were not interested in selling to the people as they would have not got much money from the people of Blackburn.... They would have had to give the club away for FREE
as no one in Blackburn has any money.......!!!
And the Walker family sold as they knew it was time to stop bank rolling BRFC and get as much as they possibly could , which they did and have now disappeared. away from BRFC.
Finally, Real football fans are those who stick through Good and bad times.
I ask ...you BRFC supporters...Are you a real BRFC fan...???
You can’t always be winners
And compared to some premier teams we are really small,....!!
Let’s be positive and get on with our job as supporters
Let’s get behind the team and playing staff and BRFC
And this should lead us to GLORY and the premiership.....SIMP

Actually Venkys arnt the only owners who are not local ....!!
You will find that virtually all owners in Premiership are similar,
they have no knowledge , no skills, no local relationship....NOTH
ING
Roman Abramovich Chelsea
Mohamed Al-Fayed Fulham
Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Man city
Malcolm Glazer Man utd
Lakshmi Mittal / Tony Fernandes QPR
John Madejski Reading
Randy Lerner Villa
Stan Kroenke, Alisher Usmanov & Farhad Moshiri Arsenal
etc.....etc...etc...
.& the list continues....
all are simply rich by hook or crook
all are foriegners
all have no skills
none of them no anything about English football
WE at BRFC should be proud that we have real , honest owners who are not crooks or bank robbers but just simply Indian hard working people who have made it rich through the blood and sweat of their low paid employees.......!!!!
