Blackburn Rovers to receive initial £3m for Hoilett

QPR have agreed to pay Blackburn Rovers an initial fee of £3m for Junior Hoilett.

Hoilett joined QPR this summer following the expiry of his contract at Ewood Park, but Rovers were still entitled to a fee because he was under the age of 24.

The price would have been set by the Professional Football Compensation Committee had both clubs been unable to agree a fee.

But negotiations have now led to an agreement that means QPR will pay an initial fee of £3m, rising to £4m depending on appearances.

Rovers will also be entitled to a percentage of any profit QPR make on Hoilett should they sell him in the future.

£4m for Hoilett, £8m for Rhodes, looks like Venky's business sense working well again. What with agents commissions they should only be £6m down on the deal.

Get shut of all the dead legs Kean, Hendry, Black, Agnew etc and see the thousands of fans roll back into Ewood - this is a real opportunity for the Venkys to make good use of the money before the club goes beyond repair.
Dont think Sherwood is the man we need someone with sound Managerial Experience.

Any of this ring a bell ?

Well were venkys and Kean not talking about getting £8m? Never never land again. Pay off Kean and his cronies and let's bring in a real management and coaching team. We need an experienced manager and Tim Sherwood needs to earn his managerial spurs but not at Rovers expense. Looking at QPR in the premier table would it be worth an approach for Hughes? Bring in Nelson as defensive coach, he cannot do a worse job than Hendry and let's aim for the Prem where we belong.

SPOT ON CAPTAIN DRECKLEY , NELSON COULD DO A DUAL ROLE BE PLAYER/ DEFENSIVE COACH . TOP MAN.
ANYWAY WHATEVER HAPPENS ITS TIME TO GET RID OF THE HENDRY/KEAN SCOTTISH DRINKING MAFIA , ITS TIME WE GOT RID OF THESE DISHONOURABLE SCUMBAGS OUT OUR CLUB ,THEY CAME TO ROVERS TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN ,GIVE THEM AS LITTLE MONEY AS WE LEGALLY CAN.

This will fully cover the cost of cretinous "fans" staying away until we're promoted next season. By which time we'll have no need for such fickle supporters with the TV revenue we'll receive. Hopefully the club can place lifetime bans on such wasters and ship over India to fill out Ewood.

I wouldn't pay Kean a penny to get rid of him. I'd simply punch his **** down the road. I would have thought Rovers would have plenty of reasons to get shut of him without paying him any compensation at all. For example, for misrepresenting himself as a football manager. But then I wouldn't have employed him in the first place.
Let the boycott roll!

You mean rovers "fan." A real fan wouldn't have an issue turning up to games, getting behind the team and not b!tching about this and that for a living. Other clubs get on with it and get behind the team, fans don't boycott however rovers "fans" do. Your the sort of "supporter" holding rovers back, just waiting for the opportune time to switch allegiance to a premier league club. Logically we should share you numpties about with other clubs since we appear to have a monopoly. Maybe Chelsea and City. I'm sure that's another bandwagon you'd be happy to jump on.

£3m is good money and a creditable bit of business for Steve Kean. Well done.

Why don't the Venky's take a leaf out of Mike Ashley's book and award Kean with an improved 8 year deal? He clearly deserves it doing a fine job of leading you to the promotion spots in the face of some tremendous pressure.

Kean was just the symptom of a worse problem - the Venkys

By staying away you got Kean out within 7 matches...but now you're all going to go back.

Bad move.

Deep down you know what the right course of action is but I haven't read a single person on here point out what is so blindingly obvious.

Why not ALL stay away ?

Then the Venkys would disappear pronto. Bish bosh”
