FULL TIME: Blackburn Rovers 1 Middlesbrough 2

BLACKBURN Rovers' unbeaten start to the Championship season came to an abrupt end as they were beaten 2-1 by Middlesbrough.

A goal in each half from Lukas Jutkiewicz gave the visitors a deserved 2-0 lead and, despite Grant Hanley's late header, Rovers were unable to claw it back.

The visitors dominated the midfield battle throughout, while Marvin Emnes gave Rovers' defence trouble throughout.

A loud chorus of jeers and 'Kean out' chants met the final whistle as the pressure continues on the Rovers boss.

Right that was atrocious apart from Fabio Nunes.

Kean has to go because anytime we start losing the players just hang the heads as Kean is going to get the abuse off the fans. We need a new manager and then there is no excuses, for the fans and for the players. So everyone is trying together as a unit to succeed.

Why was Rochina not brought on, the man who has dragged us back into games.

I think we can safely say that tonight the result reflected the balance of play and the effectiveness of the systems played.

To be perfectly honest I think we have been very lucky to have got the results we have so far and on the balance of play in all games, 8-9 points would have been more than what we have deserved.

If Shebby really has any influence at the club, he MUST report back to the owners that Kean has no idea how to manage a team, is tactically clueless and will not get us promoted. It will only get worse from here unless the decision is made to part company. So please do the job all fans want and I think we will then have a real chance.

This has got to stop, I actually felt for the players tonight,

Kean just babbled through the interview.

Got to say we should have had a penalty but that would have been a disgrace though we did not deserve a point.

Even by Kean's very very low standards that was dreadful. How he can stay as manager after relegating the club and cutting the attendances in half is bad enough, but sending a team out to play with so little passion and desire is criminal. Kean is tactically useless, the team is gutless and even the football basics are beyond them.

Only in the make-believe world of Agnew were there 13,500 on there. It looked closer to 10,000.

KEAN, HENDRY & AGNEW OUT.

Well, tonight's performance will bring all those appeasers for Kean up short. Do the Spartans consider their money was well spent going down to Ewood tonight? Middlesborough hadn't won an away point until they came up against Kean and Hendry and their wobbly defence.

Andy Cryer you asked us to get over our obsession of 'Kean out' well tonight I sincerely hope that you are sick on your own words!!
One of the worst displays of football I have ever seen and the defence all over the place!!!
Orr, Dann and Murphy completely out played so god knows what Hendry is doing as defensive coach - a complete waste of time and money - yes I pity those who paid to watch such an abysmal display to the point were chants of Kean out became more and more audible!!
For those who choose to pay and watch such 'crap' I feel sorry and for those like me who choose not to visit Ewood whilst this clown Kean is in charge I take no credit - just sorry for all concerned.
OUT WITH KEAN HENDRY SINGH AGNEW VENKYS IN WITH THOUSANDS OF FANS WIN OR LOOSE.

Not surprised one bit by tonights result, its been coming, out played by a boro team who dont travel well. Glad it was on tv to show the nation the poor quality of football we have to endure week in, week out. Murphy and Etuthu might as well not been on the pitch, defence all over the place again, why did riberio start on the wing and where was rochina with 20 mins to go when we needed goals?!? We all know what happens now, the magical 16 pt target hasnt been hit, so kean will jet off to India, we'll all get our hopes up that he will get the boot when in reality he'll return saying 'had a fantastic meeting with the owners there very happy with our progress and very much looking forward to the future'. So frustrating!!

According to Kean - we had a good start , then the goal went in and then we went a bit flat, no sh it sherlock, so flat, we got played off the park. So we should have had a penalty, the speed it happened at, the player in the way, the ref would never give it, the bottom line is, we weren't good enough over the 90 mins, it would probably have been harsh on Boro if we'd have equalised. Tactically inept, Kean Out.

Nobody seemed to have a clue what they were supposed to be doing apart from possibly Nunes. What midfield? Murphy was anonymous, consistently gave the ball away and Ethuhu wasn't much better. why 4-5-1 at home? Couldn't seem to string 2 passes together. Something is radically wrong somewhere and the common denominator is Mr Kean. I make it 14 points from 7 games so if the rumour has any credence he should be gone by Monday. We can dream

Glad to see you are happy that Rovers have lost Harwoodstblue.
What you and the rest of the idiots that keep coming on here slating the fans that are going to the matches are missing is that we all agree Kean should go!!!
The fans that are going just want to support the team as in my opinion every fan should want to do.
If you had been at Barnsley on Tuesday you would have heard Rovers fans chanting Kean out.
Unfortunately you were being a true fan and sitting on your settee!
Whilst on your settee tonight you would have heard 12,000 fans chanting Kean out again
Everyone wants Kean out EVERYONE!!!
The only difference between you and the fans that are going is that you choose to sit on your arse and complain all the time.
The fans that are going are still supporting the team (as you would have been able to hear tonight on the tv) and also voicing their anger and frustrations at Kean (again as you could probably hear on the tv)
Nobody is happy with the fact Kean is the manager.
Whats the point in kicking your fellow fans when everyone wants the same thing????
And what is the point of going to the match and upsetting the players by booing etc. that is not support for the team, join the boycotters and at least spare the players their humiliation
Hi Darener,
The point is the fans at the ground got very much behind the team and you must have been able to hear that on the tv.
Whilst at the same time I would have thought you would be able to hear that Kean got the usual if not more amount of stick
I know as a rule football players are not the brightest but I am sure they will be able to tell if it is them getting stick or the manager
It was pretty obvious tonight
The fans are not happy Rovers got beaten, but as Kean said,"sometimes you have to take a step backward to go forward", Rovers have taken a step back, all we need now is Kean gone, then we can go forward.

no outside protests either please, just simply do something else on matchdays and encourage others to do so as well.

we need as the least amount of fans in the stadium as possible then the club will be making a huge loss in turn will have no option but to sack steve kean. what the hell don't folk understand about that?

I despair and hang my head in shame over that sorry performance tonight the way the club is going it stinks of disaster.

There were too many Rovers players out there who were admiring their own passes, and didnt try enough off-the-ball movement, to increase their options so that they could join the attack when the crosses come into the box. we need at least more than 3 players there and players around the box to collect the clearance and start over again to increase the pressure, however the build up play the passing was too slow and too predictable - easy to defend against. It was clear middlesbrough manager did his homework on Rovers' weaknesses and Keans tactics failed, if our defensive frailties were addressed we could have at least scraped a draw.

Oh, and if you want Kean out, why don't YOU do something about it.
Yes I am a season ticket holder. This is my point, the fans attending who are booing and chanting for Kean out want the same ultimate goal as you boycotters - Steve Kean to be relieved of his duties.
Message to the Spartans from a boycotter. We tried Kean out chants for nearly two years. What makes you think you doing it will have any more affect?

Why was Rochina not brought on, the man who has dragged us back into games.
Spot-on Irish....Rochina should have been on from the start instead of Bruno who was totally anonymous again and did zilch. Rhodes never got a decent ball all night, and though he and Gomes tried hard all night it just didn't click for them this time. Fabio Nunes played really well and is twice the player Pederson is now and should stay in the team. Midfield was woeful all night though and it seemed like Murphy and Etuhu could not be bothered most of the time. Dann was desperate, Givet was dedicated but too slow, Orr was poor and so was Olsson. In fact he looked relieved to be going off when he was subbed. Robbo should have saved the first and his punches were weak and though he made a couple of decent saves he does not inspire confidence.

But then neither does the booing of our players during the game. That was as disgraceful as some of the players performances and may have been partially responsible for some of their weak efforts. How can you boo your own players during a game? I thought that was done with when Andrews went....to hear it again tonight was terrible and embarrassing.

If Kean has not gone by Monday then it will be obvious that the stay-aways tactics are NOT working - what then for the club? What else is there still to do?

Add money grabbing Murphy and his mate Etuhu makes 7 out of 11

Add Bruno to the list 8 out of 11 and you have your answer.

Kean you have had all end of last season plus the whole of preseason to get it right and you have failed miserably.

You are out of your depth and consequently have to go.

Don't try to fabricate anymore excuses, especially when you have stated it's your best squad.

You still don't get it do you?

The spartans, as you put it, don't support Kean they are supporting the club. The would like nothing better than to see Kean go and be replaced, but who ever owns or is manager of the club is irrelevant. They support the club through thick and thin, rain and shine, promotion and demotion.

Please try and keep up it's really not that difficult
If you want Kean out....DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
What sit at home behind a computer while the match is on whinging and whining or go to the ground support the team and yes shout Kean out if the performances are sub standard.
I know you are upset after watching that utter tripe Kean calls football, but I support the team at the away games, so you are no better supporter than me.
Of course you do Malcolm :)

So still top of the table tonight but the problems are running deeper than ever. He has to go.
Sorry to disagree FR ! If Kean hasn't gone by Monday then it will be obvious that booing on match days isn't working.

Time for a change of tactics . . . . . . . STAY AWAY !

It WILL bring about what we ALL want if we ALL commit to it . . . . .

KEAN OUT !

Nunes was great, Bradley ordinary very poor, and as for bruno irwin who never gives the ball away, or was it never gives the ball to us, I forget. Just shows that Shebby can find a better prospect than the great pretender. Murphy was shocking again. Drop his arse what a poor performance from michael stipe. Defence pretty shocking really, Hanley very poor for the second. Rhodes and gomes straved of service were inconspicuous. I think Danny murphy's favourite song should be " The passenger " and I ride and I ride and I ride.
Oh well we start again. C'mon shebby, pot the plonker.
They won't pot the plonker whilst you keep going. Come and join us, an empty ground will have him gone in a week, and you know it.

26000 on against Wigan supporting a team run by Kean and Venkys.
Anyone who went that night, and is now coming on here pretending that they are boycotting matches for some honourable reason,is fooling nobody but himself.

If you had not taken the crowd up to the 10,000 ish do you think Kean would still be here.

You have all prolonged his stay and given the Venkys that justification to keep him on. Your the deluded ones

Had only 2 / 3,000 turned up to our games do you think they would not have had to say enoughs enough.

Your claims of wanting Kean out are pathetic little comments for if you TRULY hated him you would not grace him with your presence.

Bit like the miners who still will not speak to those that crossed the picket lines you lot disgust me and when I return ( which ever league that is when Kean goes) I will always be thinking who am I sitting next to!!!!!

As for Shebby, he's going to be reporting back to Mrs Death-Sigh in Pune that there aren't many fans left. No fans, no sponsors, nobody in the corporate boxes and an empty stadium = panic in Pune=Kean sacked.

What is clear is that if we ALL want Kean Out then we ALL must commit to carry out the same actions.

It's either ALL go and demonstrate our feelings throughout the game which no doubt will demoralize the players and their performance.

Or ALL stay away until such time Shebby utters the words we all want to hear "STEVE, TIME'S UP, YOU'RE FIRED !"

The first option has been tried many times without achieving the desired result. Let's ALL get together to give the second option a real chance to succeed !

Oh, we are upset tonight, Keep going though but I doubt it will get any better. You are one of those who never learns. You either don't listen or need to be told repeatedly before it sinks in. If you don't want Kean, man up and do something about it......Night Night.
I'm always learning, I am known as a fast learner, a lateral thinker, a problem solver, I make things happen. I get things working, I find the answers, thats why get paid so highly. Thanks And the above reasons is why I lead. And why you follow the welder.

26000 on against Wigan supporting a team run by Kean and Venkys.
Anyone who went that night, and is now coming on here pretending that they are boycotting matches for some honourable reason,is fooling nobody but himself.
I am splitting my sides here hearing Spartans going on.

This episode has driven a massive schism which will never ever be rectified so rather than correspond with you just take it that I will never ever respect the stance you and many like you have taken.
Deluded? That's rich. Do you really think Venkys are that bothered about a bit of revenue missed by low crowds pie and bovril sales?

This is not 30 years ago Grandad. The majority of revenue doesn't come through bums on seats.
Who is talking about revenue!!!!

You keep going on about revenue.

If the stadium is empty .... Literally no one in it bet the players would soon have something to say about it. In fact most would not even come to the club

Oh wait on a minute of course they would cos they are money grabbers.

Murphy has not earned barely a few quid of what he is paid a week and your all justifying it all. You keep gracing Kean with your presence
Grandad interesting

Your obviously some young twenty something always banging on about revenues / cost of pies / money

Nothing to do with justifying what has gone on at the club. nothing to do with
Blinking revenues / money

Spot on, also two words summed up Boro, woodgate and Bikey, thats what quality defenders do, snuff out the threat, we only scored when Woodgate went off and Rhino arse Hanley was left unmarked, which is exactly what hanley did for Boros second, left him unmarked for a free header. Same as last year, defence not good enough. Kean Out.

I took my seat at Ewood tonight and yes my Team got out played but I was there to support them. The TV cameras were also there and captured the Spartans protests of "Kean Out" for the world and the Venky's to see. The Spartans continue to mount pressure on the Venky's, when Kean is given the push you can thank us then. Sitting at home in front of the TV is simply called doing nothing, it has no affect and if you think your £250 means anything to the Venkys you are even thicker than I thought. So when Kean goes and he will, and when we are back where we belong, in the Prem, I suppose we will see you fair weather glory supporters back, you can thank us Spartans then.

After the substitution of Olsson, did anyone see any subs warming up during the last 40 minutes. Anyone, anyone at all needed to be brought on to replace Murphy or did thicko think we had used all the subs. The mind boggles at the ineptitude of the idiot. Murphy needs a long rest ( permanently ), he brings nothing but confusion to the team. Kean says the man can find a pass, he would have trouble finding the Khyber Pass. The team selection including Murphy and Ribiero was wrong from the word go. The only service the forwards got was from Nunes, who had a decent game and never stopped running, but I suppose he will be dropped for the next game whilst Murphy will be number1 on the teamsheet. Select your team a couple of days before a match, work with it on the training ground, that's the theory, obviously doesn't happen at Brockhall. Yes we should have had a penalty, but in fairness Olsson was lucky to stay on the pitch after his first half lunge. Outplayed, outhought and outpaced for virtually all of the game. We have the players, what we don't have is a supposed management and coaching team. The change has to come sooner rather than later or this temporary hiccup may become a permanent one

I DO support the team.......I go to the away matches, of course you don't know that, but won't go near Ewood until there is proper manager to manage our team.

If you want rid of Kean as you say, why don't you do something about it like the boycotters are trying to do?
The team you support as been bought by Kean , how can you support players like orr and big money Murphy, the latter who as utter contempt for rovers fans and does not give a f for you as is performances tells you , he is on 2 year contract no one else wanted him and his he gonna enjoy it.

He has to change that midfield murphy and etihu are just not in the game or gave the ball away. For him to just stand there and not change it in the last 20 mins to try and at least get an undeserved draw was disgraceful. I do fear the worst now. That was the first time I have not cheered when we scored but it was all pathetic and we were never in this game.

8000 Season ticket holders gave Rovers the benefit of the doubt by renewing. So far 4 games in - football has been grim good goals and results have papered over the cracks - last night we were exposed - will Venkys act - goodness knows

Defensively we are poor no plyer n the park is organising as a unit - what benefit Hendryhas brought is minimal. Midfield we are outpaced I agree Murphy and Etuhu lok disinterested Nunes flashy going forward but little end product and defensively he could have sat in the stands and watched as he provided NO cover whatsoever downour left flank. Rovers need to learn to defend as ateam quickly.

Up front no service until the charge of the Alamo in the last 5 minutes - Why did it take them that long to apply some pressure? and why didnt Kean use his third substitute in the last 20 minutes when 2 down?

We are still in a decent position but Kean will never ever win the fans over -so the acrimony will continue and the club will never be united - time to be decisive Venkys but your reputation for dithering has me fearing the worst

Whilst we have had the results I have never said the performances were of any standard. I was a tad too optimistic in thinking well results breed confidence and after the second half against barnsley in which we showed improvement in nullifying them we gained the three points and I thought right boro next performance should be on a par with that second hald and improve on it. But last nights performance was the worst display I have ever witnessed at any level in the game I was ashamed to say I was a football fan and god knows what that dutch bloke thought when he witnessed it. I cant comment on the second half I chose to sit in a car park for it and count clouds floating by which was more entertaining.

I hope for sanitys sake that someone other than kean give mrs desai a good seeing to over the weekend and she is in jovial mood and sacks the muppet for his/ his families, my families and every blues fans sake out there.

Of course you are, read the above post, if you and your glory boys would come back for one game and prove me wrong, that you aren't a bunch of PL glory hunters, I will hold my hand up and join a boycott, but I think you are a glory hunting nomarks, who didn't exist before 95.The guantlet is down. Take it on. Thanks.
I've been going on Rovers since 1977. Thanks
Prove it thanks, until then I will attend, until you and your glory hunting mates can prove to me, you are doing this for political reasons then I will keep going. Its easy to do, just arrange to attend the next home game. Then I will believe you are not full of sheite. Thanks.
You're starting to sound like a petulant child. You can believe what you want, I really couldn't care less. Enjoy yourself at Ewood. Take care.
Deluded pratt..........and exactly what good do you think your " Kean out" chants will achieve. We've been doing that for close on two years, or perhaps you haven't noticed, and he's still here.
Venkys and Kean will love mugs like you blindly going down there swelling the coffers every week. Sing Kean out all you want it won't make any difference until you man up and do something about it.
I, like thousands of others have decided not to go until Kean has gone. We're taking the short term pain for the long term gain, but your type are only prolonging the agony. Try to see beyond the end of your nose. Be a man and do something about it.

I have to say that was was absolute ****. We have not played well in any games especially at home. Quite frankly got out of jail from some quality goals in every game.
I agree that Murphy wasn't great last night but he is one of the few players in midfield capable of playing a telling pass. The bigger problem was that nobody was moving off the ball so he had very few options most of the time. This team looks lazy, unfit and unmotivated. Compare that wih Middlesborough who always had several options open and fought for every ball.

Please Shebby, do us all a favour and fire Kean's sorry @rse.

Top of the table and booing your team the way you did tonight is absolutely shamefull, you lot deserve everything the venky boys have done to your club and more, at least the rest of the football world are seeing you for what you are arrogant idiots who think they have a divine right to play in the premier league and compete with the big boys ! well your sugar daddy aint here any more its high time you realised you have been punching way above your weight in recent years but you just cant accept it can you ?
No Gob bye mouth! I think it's you who can't accept how well Rovers have done over the years! You keep trawling on these pages all bitter & twisted & resent, that, until recently, a well run successful club better than yours comes from down the road.It obviously really pains you my six digit friend !!!!!

I guess Kean was asking for a result like this today that when he was heard gloating prior to this fixture about how this season was supposed to be the best start to the season in 18 years and mentioning it again in case someone forgot.
Funny that he didn't mention last seasons start. Our worse start to a season for over SIXTY YEARS! What an absolute c**** Kean is!

The match got live and we disappointed with the result.

I feel Rochina in place of Gomes and Pedersen in place of Murphy and Dunn in place of Euthu will try in that match. Ollson was ok till he leave the ground.

We lost ball control and miss lots of passes to opposite players. They really outplayed with there pace in the game. So our young players should should act fast with first team and get a break to old legs for few matchs

If Steve Kean cannot move out from Venky's KEY list, Can Venky give him a Chairman post for saying positives to media and management after each Blackburn match and appoint a good coach who lead with football game plan, reputation, moti
vate players and produce results.
I feel , Steve will be happy to say few words now better than he loose few more matchs with old legs. So it will be win win positional change for steve and his management.

Now all the team aganist us understood, If u want play with blackburn , get the fast runner into the team, they will win the match. What he is talking about best squad, where the players are not FIT to control passes and get tired after 10mts in the ground.

Fabio Nunes is a good player, but we need to give more playing time to build as a best winger. On traning ground he should pratice more on shoots with different angle, get ideas from the master pedersen.

David Dunn should speak about his position in the team, The bench is getting hotter after every match. why ? not even 10 mts after 7 matchs. Why u carry the bench everywhere, because I love D.Dunn game, I feel great with his passion to win the match.

In truth the Rovers have not been playing good controlled flowing football under Steve Kean with the exception of a couple of matches in the last two years since he has been manager. The clubs position is flattering and down to some excellent finishing. I look at the percentage of possession the Rovers have in each game and it is rarely over fifty percent if ever and therefore the opposition on paper deserve the points in theory anyway. I think the Venkys need to put feelers out for someone to replace Steve Kean; but who?

I think Steve Kean should be sacked because he isn't a very good football manager. I can't believe nobody has ever thought of this before. I think to get the point across people should start chanting Kean out over and over until he is sacked.

Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out
Kean out

I think your pork and beef have given you mad cows disease, or something.
