I have to say Gomes has been a great signing, his movement and touch is class, if he can pass that on to the young lads around him then that two year contract will be worth its weight in gold. I can imagine for the young portugeses lads it must be quite an experience having him their to help them settle and give them advice, hats off on this one to Rovers, i dont believe for one minute Mr Kean got him there and suspect others have persueded him to come.

Middelsborough next should be an interesting game, were not playing great at the minute and winning , which to be honest is better than playing well and losing ( Leicester suffering with this at the minute). Cant help feeling that with a good manager this team could really set this league on fire. In the mean time i will just enjoy the goals.

For openly bragging that he is watching the match on the TV in Preston and declaring at the same time that he is "enjoying being a Rovers' fan", he should be shot. In Blackburn.

Due to living away from England I only have the tv to shout at when Rovers are on, apart from very rare matches I can get back to - so hope the stay-aways enjoy the same experience tonight. Not the same at all, no way no how. I cannot even contemplate how any Rovers fan can resist going down to Ewood to watch them 'live' especially at a night match, (love those nights at Ewood) and even more so when we are winning and top of the league.

Surely you can see that you are not proving anything to anyone (not even yourselves if you are truthful) anymore by staying away any longer. I can see the headlines in the morning none will be about fans boycotting because of who the manager is it will be that rovers are a typical example of the modern game, Last season in the prem gates averaging 20k + now in the championship and playing against the likes of boro etc instead of the uniteds of this world fans will not bother attending. you can kid yourself all you want about sending this so called message in front of cameras and i hope that the fans aren't portrayed as glory hunters but we all know the media will slate fans like they did last season.

You're right, the marches and protests probably only had any chance of being effective early on and there should now be a newer approach - perhaps staying away is it.

There's only been three home matches so its a bit early to be saying it is "not proving anything to anyone".

Here here. Stayaway "fans" - rubbish. You cannot be a fan and boycott matches. Grow up. We are top of the 2nd division (I still operate in old money). Try watching away games at Plymouth in Div 3. Of course you wouldn't - no matter who woned the club and who was manager. I don't like Keen or Venky's any either but I love my club. I forgive you for giving the boycott a go, but it has not worked and will not work. You deprive the club of your support and thereby handicap the team. Boycotters don't want us promoted if Keen stays (which of course he would). They would prefer us to be relegated if Keen goes. Boycotters, you are a disgrace to our club. If this team was in the prem now we'd be bottom because we wouldn't have been given space to score and would have conceded more goals due to dire defending (coached by Hendry, a man who's lost so much respect in so shorter time)
However we're in the championship and from what I've seen there isn't an outstanding team in the whole division. So enjoy the moment , we've got the routine spanking of the inbreds coming up and believe me after talking to some proper cl@rets fans (there is the odd one or two believe it or not), they are 5hitting themselves about playing us.

Of course you wouldn't - no matter who woned the club and who was manager. I don't like Keen or Venky's any either but I love my club. I forgive you for giving the boycott a go, but it has not worked and will not work. You deprive the club of your support and thereby handicap the team. Boycotters don't want us promoted if Keen stays (which of course he would). They would prefer us to be relegated if Keen goes. Boycotters, you are a disgrace to our club. You're right, the marches and protests probably only had any chance of being effective early on and there should now be a newer approach - perhaps staying away is it.

There's only been three home matches so its a bit early to be saying it is "not proving anything to anyone".

You may not be able to contemplate how any Rovers fan can resist going down to Ewood but, and I know it's a quaint old fashioned notion, but some people do still have principles.

nothing wrong with having principles....I have some too, .but I could never put them before my love for the Rovers. Its all about the team in blue and white halves on the pitch. Always has been since 1958 and always will be....Venkys and SK and all their dodgy coherts wont change that for me.
