Blackburn Rovers increase bid for Rhodes
10:18pm Friday 17th August 2012 in News
Exclusive By Andy Cryer, Blackburn Rovers reporter
BLACKBURN Rovers have increased their offer for Huddersfield hot-shot Jordan Rhodes.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands Rovers are hopeful this third offer for the striker will be enough to land the 22-year-old.
Rhodes did not feature in Huddersfield's defeat to Cardiff this evening, with manager Simon Grayson claiming he is injured.

It's despicable and belittles the club, whose reputation is becoming worse literally every day.
If Jordan is going anywhere it will be nowhere near the present Rovers set-up.

I think this would be a good deal. Although not the finished article, this is a player who has proved himself competent at this level. Rovers are still a bigger club than Huddersfield and will be back in the PL once they get a decent manager in.

£6.5 million and 40,000 a week in wages I believe.

Not really tested at this higher level yet and coming into a team of questionable 'direction'.
Yes on paper it looks an ambitious move. But, we are still led by a rookie trying his best to be a manager with a fragmented structure within the club.
It is still for me, regardless who comes and goes, lets just see where we are come mid Sept/Oct.
If we are up there, fine. If we are I as suspect mid table - 8th/9th, then given the contracts handed out to many players the balance sheet will need serious deliberation.

I do wish that Blackburn Rovers would do their transfer dealings with dignity, and honesty - and not through the media.
