Some of the delusions on this site is baffling. not renewing your season ticket is not now, or ever going to make Venkys go away. What it does is tell them in no uncertain terms that the fans are unhappy with the current state of affairs and things need to change. on the flipside, we still have a team that needs support and 8000 or so fans, many who will no doubt let Kean know what they think of him.

it is interesting that whilst some fans are getting abuse for renewing, others like Glen Mullan who are also attending the matches seem to be OK with it.

The point is being missed here, the process of kean being booted out of the club and which now can not be backed tracked on without Venky's looking like complete fools worlwide is this :- 1 - The team losing big, 2 - The players distancing themselves from Kean and 3 - Fans boycotting at least the first home game.

The point is not being missed - the points being made are that
1) No matter what we lose by or whom we lose to or how many games we lose then Kean is not (unfortunately) going anywhere just yet.
2) The players are actually aligning with Kean now - due to Shebby's remarks about Pedersen. Who do you think called the Players Union in.
3) Boycotting fans wont make one iota of difference to the Venkys.

Kean is now using the Shebmesiters words against him and publicly slating Shebby off (today) in the media. It is quickly building to become a climax of 'personalities' between the two camps.
Who will be stronger and who will the Venky regime back? Kean or Shebby. The end game is on lads.....the winner takes all!
Just hope that we still have a football club left at the end of it.

I get it now, It will Shebby's fault if we don't win any of the first 3 games not Keans. Therefore Shebby is sacked and Kean continues.

If this does happen, do we have any fan out there who wont have GRAVE concerns?

The point is being missed here, the process of kean being booted out of the club and which now can not be backed tracked on without Venky's looking like complete fools worlwide is this :- 1 - The team losing big, 2 - The players distancing themselves from Kean and 3 - Fans boycotting at least the first home game.

The point is not being missed - the points being made are that
1) No matter what we lose by or whom we lose to or how many games we lose then Kean is not (unfortunately) going anywhere just yet.
2) The players are actually aligning with Kean now - due to Shebby's remarks about Pedersen. Who do you think called the Players Union in.
3) Boycotting fans wont make one iota of difference to the Venkys.

Kean is now using the Shebmesiters words against him and publicly slating Shebby off (today) in the media. It is quickly building to become a climax of 'personalities' between the two camps.
Who will be stronger and who will the Venky regime back? Kean or Shebby. The end game is on lads.....the winner takes all!
Just hope that we still have a football club left at the end of it.

You may well be right. I did get the impression at the meeting on Saturday, that there was one thing on the agenda and that was to get the fans who hadn't renewed season tickets back on side. You are spot on about PR. I've been saying this for months. A lot of the problems have been caused by bad PR. Kean spouting his big mouth off, Shaggy doing the same.

Agnew was\is supposed to be in charge of PR. What was\is he being paid for?

Interesting to note that most people are now 'off the fence' with their views now that D-day approaches.

My own prediction? Promotion is mission impossible. Too many lightweights and players here for their lengthy contracts who should be pensioned off in footballing terms i.e. Dunn, Murphy and Gomes.

We may avoid relegation but may be close.

A point well made, however the fans see as the only way to communicate thier concern for Kean as manager. I agree there are more productive ways of doing such a thing but not all see it that way. The only way to win back for the fans is by winning regularly. I am a firm believer that succsess on the pitch is the only marketing tool needed.

All the players and management are bothered about is getting paid their money. Aside from fans who work for the club (ticket office staff, stadium staff, Academy staff) I don't think any of them are really that bothered about the club. Kean has assembled a bunch of generals around him in order to protect his ambition for greed. Worthless individuals grabbing their slice of the pie while verbally championing their man (to be rewarded with future lucrative contracts and bonuses).

from your name Im assuming you're 38 and that's why you think the way you do. I am the same, it's because we come from a time where canes and blackjacks were used to instill discipline and nanny state softly softly approaches were sneered at not encouraged. Shebby will be the same and as unprofessional and indecent those comments may have seemed they were hardly unwarranted. if we want to get back to top flight football, the axe has to be on the neck of the manager to make it happen and "loyal" servants of the club like MGP will have to know that there is no carrying of any member of the team, no how long their service. The truth may hurt but it will be a lot worse if we slip further down the leagues. I've no issues with what Singh has said and done up to this point, as long as he is able and willing to carry out what he has declared.

Full agreement....the club can only move forward when Kean is gone and can take Hendry with him too. I would hope Shebby is working behind the scenes to bring an experienced professional football manager in (with promotions on his cv) - Mick McCarthy turned Forest down but he would be my choice. The sooner it is done the better.
