Rovers will scour far and wide - as Malaysian gets chance

SHEBBY Singh insists it is important Blackburn Rovers cast their scouting net far and wide in the search of “undiscovered gems’ – as defender Titus James Palani gets given the chance to become the first Malaysian in English football.

The 26-year-old, who plays for French Third Division outfit Nanteuil, will begin a trial at Brockhall next Thursday and he admits the invitation is a “dream come true”.

The left sided player held preliminary talks with Rovers’ global advisor Singh in Malaysia on Wednesday night and will bid to earn a professional contract with the Championship club.

Some will see Palani’s opportunity as an attempt by Indian owners Venky’s and Singh to spread Rovers’ name in Asia but Singh is adamant the offer is not just “a marketing ploy”.

He is adamant Rovers are prepared to give lower league players a chance to impress at Ewood Park - no matter what their nationality - but insists they will only be signed if they are deemed good enough.

Singh told the Lancashire Telegraph: “Players from all over the world will get their chance at Blackburn Rovers and it is down to them to take it. We can provide the opportunity but it is down to them in the end.

“We hope Titus can be a player from the lower leagues who has had his real potential spotted but, if he isn’t the right one, we hope we can find some who are.

“We think spreading the net wide is very important, this is serious business now. We will be looking in the lower leagues in England and all over the world, in case there is that player that has been missed.”

Palani was signed by French outfit Le Havre at the age of 12, having scored a hat-trick for a rest of the world team against Barcelona academy in an exhibition match during the 1998 World Cup.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, he has enjoyed spells in the French lower leagues but is now determined to ‘give everything’ in his pursuit of his dream.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: “It is a dream come true for me. I will give it my best and hopefully it will be enough. If I do make it I will be the first Malaysian footballer in English football.

“I saw Shebby in Malaysia earlier this week. He was one of my first coaches when I was a boy back home.”

Malaysian footballers Mohd Safee Sali and Safiq Rahim have had past trials with Cardiff City but work permit problems cut their bids short. Singh is hopeful Palani won’t have permit problems having played in France for the past 10 years.

Nice research, Andy! Nanteuil aren't even in the French 3rd division. Maybe you want to bring that up with Shebby Singh next time you speak to him.

Freebies, yes every now and then you get a gem but it's very rare, what about scouring far and wide for a new manager.

How low has club become, it's the laughing stock of the footballing world, thanks Venkys but I won't be part of it.

No to Season tickets

No to buying any BRFC merchandise until Kean has gone AND Venkys apologise for making us the laughing stock!

Our weapon to fight this lot with is the withholding of season tickets and long my it continue, we are winning this battle, first gate of the season, my guess 7500 tops.

Remember I hate doing this as a true Blue but in my opinion it's the only way, anything else will just see the club fold and then it's to late to try and save it.

Oh dear.

Why should our global advisor suddenly be capable of scouting for and, more to the point, finding, "undiscovered gems" which have not already been picked up by the bigger clubs' extensive scouting systems?

Apparently, our man in Rio is one of Venkys' managers.

So, we have an ex-TV pundit from Malaysia and some bloke in charge of a S American KFC looking for players.

Forgive my scepticism but I am not confident of any great additions to the squad in the immediate future.

Good luck lad, but I'm not holding out much hope. Of course, if the Shebster is acting as puppetmaster for the owners, Pinocchio will sign him in a shot.

At least Titus (the very name sends a shiver down my spine) is used to the culture, weather and language of Blackburn, having lived in Western France for some time.

Hendry was a Legend in my eyes too and have met him and is a nice guy too.

He has had a rough ride over the last few years but I think he would be an asset as a defensive coach, many of us remember his never say die attitude that he can instill in our defence. The only one that doesn't need that is Givet who has already got that !

You can't coach what he displayed on the field. Is there anything to suggest he could? His management/coaching CV is not that impressive.

Yes he has been through a hard time, but a lot of people have suffered great personal loss. I doubt many have done what he has since.

Irrespective of any of this, it stinks of jobs for the boys.

Hendry's was the only name I have ever had on my Rovers' shirt but I was dismayed with what he did when he left. I was a bit of a footballing romantic, wanting to believe they were all playing for the badge and the fans. His actions convinced me it is was nothing but a myth. The game as a whole lost something for me from then on; it that took away a little something when watching them play for my team.

I will never forgive him for that.

Why are you jumping on Hendry? Kean is a **** but you can't blame Hendry for taking up a job oppurtunity. The bloke has had a crap time in his personel life and deserves a break. He in my eyes is an Ewood Legend and I hope he is still there long after Kean and his muppets have left.
Got to agree with you there. I for one wish him well and hope he can strengthen our defensive frailties, even with the slap head still in charge!
hope you didnt lend him any money when you met him!
Harsh but fair.

It would have been interesting how nice he would have been when you tried to get it back.

No to Season tickets No to buying any BRFC merchandise until Kean has gone AND Venkys apologise for making us the laughing stock! Our weapon to fight this lot with is the withholding of season tickets and long my it continue, we are winning this battle, first gate of the season, my guess 7500 tops. I agree about Steve Kean but not supporting the team is not the answer. Your time would be better served protesting on match days. Why let them stop you watching Rovers? I for one will be there and I will be there long after Venkys and Kean are gone....By the way I believe I read they have had 9000 season tickets renewed not sure if thats true.
If you're still there after they have gone, you'll probably be sitting on a bench staring at a block of flats.

I will never forgive him for that.
hendry is just a PR STUNT that will just backfire on them like everything else they just keep proving that they have no morals with with guys like him and the rest of them on the payrole

Not knocking him at all, but his record since he stopped playing is not too good. Using his on field activities as a guide to his off field influence is gambling somewhat. If playing alongside Givet is not enough to motivate you, I cannot see how a guy off field can do any better. For me no, its a pr stunt.

So LP, 7500? I say not less than 15,000 probably more.
The problem with you and your alter egos is that you think the attending fans are fools, which we are not.
You seem to wish the destruction of the club, if not that then you are just plain stupid with a stubborn streak!
Withholding revenue will cause a worse case scenario to be more likely. You say we are in a downward spiral now but loss of revenue will only cause the Owners minor hurt. What it could do is bring about the administration of the club, they will lose some money but the Administrators have no requirement to sell the club as a going concern. It can be liquidated like Rangers and then there would probably no road back at all as we have not the fan base of the 'Gers
So for me your plan stinks...better to support and suffer for now and know that times will change for the better sooner or later as long as we the Supporters keep the club alive for the future.
You want to kill it now??
It is illogical and impractical to think we can starve them out or " run them out of town" as you like to fantasise.
Nahh overall I think I know what you are, just a sad troll with nothing better to do!

As for the slagging off of Colin Hendry and any players we are thinking of buying, and the treatment of Kean ..that is pure internet bullying by cowards of the worst sort. You would not dare speak to their faces like that.

I agree with you Wild Rover to a degree. I think Hendry is ace. ten times the man of any on here. I also don't slag kean off at every opportunity as the guy is clueless and we all know that already.
However as far as signings are going, I'm not very impressed especially with our latest interest in this kebaddi champion. If a player is 26 and has resided in the french lower leagues all his career chances are, he is doggyplop.
I am still going to ewood to support the shirt no matter who wears it, but I wish they would stop filling them with turds.
Also Sachha Baron Cohen shabby shiek needs to go back home and talk bollax elsewhere. everyone on here is an expert on football and shaggy is just embarrassing. Its like watching your sister on x facter howling like a dog.

Oh dear Oh dear - I honestly thought this was a joke story when it first broke.
.
Are we meant to be impressed that a guy playing, reginal semi professional football in the Paris leagues (not even national league) which I presume to be a similar level to our NW counties league is coming here for a trial.

Bear in mind the guy has been playing in the lower French divisions for numerous years now, has it not crossed Shabbys mind that if he was any good then at least one French league 1 club would have signed him up at some point over the last 5 or 6 years ? - surely they'l be scouting the French lower leagues far better and more often than Rovers will.
.
18 months ago we were promised the likes of Beckham and Ronaldihno, now they've gone full circle and say that we're gonna give trials to no hopers that everyone else in the football world has by-passed.
.
In the main, in this world, you get what you pay for - buy quality and more often than not you get quality, buy cr@p and you get cr@p.
.
I would genuinely love to hear from some of the happy clappers (wildrover etc) on this site to hear their take on this story (I can't believe anyone would be impressed by this turn of events) and the fact that we are now going to "scour the earth for no-hopers and never beans" (this guy is not and never has been a proper full time professional footballer - it is unbeleivable !!).

It is just another crystal clear example of how far we have fallen under these disgusting owners and hangers on in such a short space of time

Humour me please for a moment and let us suppose that the players bought last season were not Keans choice but Agent inspired. This would go a long way to explaining why they were not played. The players who have worked with him all seem to think he is good.I know based on last season we all think he is rubbish but with players brought in this time at least they do appear to be of better quality. As for Hendry let us give him a break as he was not the first or last to engineer a move from our club.
Let us shelve our grievances for the first 10 games and see how it goes. We may just be surprised.

Lol, you keep deliberately picking on Lancs Pensioner, (and I'll be honest you were getting a bit nasty and personal in this latest one, with or without specific details), but you then accuse him of being a bully "of the worst sort".

What a gimp.

The treatment of Kean as well? Wtf? The fans are all to blame again are they? It begs the question; who's your audience with that?

I thought no-one from the club takes notice of these pages anyway? That's what you've been saying only a few days ago. Are the fans not even supposed to speak their mind though, even though, like you say, no-one from the club comes on here?

There is unbelievable frustration from the fans in case you hadn't noticed. The whole town is on a downer. But nobody is allowed to say anything unless it's "go Stevie Kean!"

If it's the truth, then the fans have every right to say what they want, especially at this difficult time.

As for your 15,000 figure, that's never going to happen in a million years. It's a mid week game for starters, and with this level of animosity still going on there is simply no chance. We'll see, but I'd personally bet Lancs - pensioner is far closer to the mark than you are.

Tell Colin Hendry to put some money on if you see him. He could "borrow" it off another pensioner. Thinking about it, you and Colin Hendry have certainly got it in for pensioners.

It can be liquidated like Rangers and then there would probably no road back at all as we have not the fan base of the 'Gers So for me your plan stinks...better to support and suffer for now and know that times will change for the better sooner or later as long as we the Supporters keep the club alive for the future. You want to kill it now?? It is illogical and impractical to think we can starve them out or " run them out of town" as you like to fantasise. Nahh overall I think I know what you are, just a sad troll with nothing better to do! Only my opinion of course. As for the slagging off of Colin Hendry and any players we are thinking of buying, and the treatment of Kean ..that is pure internet bullying by cowards of the worst sort. You would not dare speak to their faces like that. Pretty despicable and it says more about you than them, I would love find out your dark secrets and post all over the Internet but you know what even if I did I know something about you I would not stoop so low. Would not want to be like you! Bye Troll[/p][/quote]Lol, you keep deliberately picking on Lancs Pensioner, (and I'll be honest you were getting a bit nasty and personal in this latest one, with or without specific details), but you then accuse him of being a bully "of the worst sort". But nobody is allowed to say anything unless it's "go Stevie Kean!" If it's the truth, then the fans have every right to say what they want, especially at this difficult time. As for Hendry let us give him a break as he was not the first or last to engineer a move from our club.
Let us shelve our grievances for the first 10 games and see how it goes. We may just be surprised.
I thought Shebby was choosing the players this time round though.

Is that going to be Kean's excuse again then?

As for Colin Hendry; purely from a footballing perspective, everyone knows our defence is our weakness, so why are we hiring a proven failure as a coach for this area? We all know therefore that he is coming in because he is Kean's mate. It's an attempt to use his former status to shield our stunningly unpopular manager.

But we are supposed to cheer Colin Hendry for this? Selling his legendary status in an attempt to prop up a manager universally loathed by all fans.

If that's not the case, then why aren't we hiring a successful defensive coach, when we desperately need one, rather than a failed one in Colin Hendry?

Or is this another incompetent decision that will need excusing at a later date, just like all the others?

I usually think you post some okay stuff but I am amazed when you have posted "the players bought this season seem to be of better quality" - I can't believe you've written this ??
.
Leon Best - OK no problem
Murphy - OK no problem.
Gomes - OK, bit old but may do okay (?)
2 possible youngsters from Portugal - ? (how much impact are they REALLY going to have on our season - probably no very much

Last seasons signing turned out to be rubbish (generally) but look at them on paper -

Scott Dann (£6m) - been a good solid CH in PL for previous 2 seasons - we ALL though this was a brilliant signing.
.
David Goodwillie - (£2m) we all thought he was a snip and a player "on the way up" and a "great bit of business".
.
Petrovic (£3m) - same as DG - player capped 20 times for Serbia before his 20th birthday - on paper this looked fantastic signing, on grass it has shown to be less so.
.
Yakubu (£1.5m) - experienced PL striker who scored year in year out.
.
Vukevic (£2m) - Greatly experienced player, regular starter for Sporting Lisbon and his countries highest ever capped player.
.
Do you really still say that (on paper) this seasons signings are more impressive than last seasons - I think its a measure of how far we have fallen in the last 12 months that fans are really "impressed" with this mixed bag we have signed so far this summer.

I understand the bold one has made some poor signings, but just because the player is from the french lower leagues doesnt make him poor. Nzoznzi, french lower league, duff, irish league (can be classed as lower league), nelsen, new zealand league, (again can be classed as lower league), the list goes on. Now please dont start having a go, i get enough on facebook, but please lets just give the players a chance, no matter were they are signed from!

Bye Troll
But nobody is allowed to say anything unless it's "go Stevie Kean!" If it's the truth, then the fans have every right to say what they want, especially at this difficult time.

I don't have a lets destroy the club attitude either, so I have no idea what you are on about with that.

I have nothing against those who want to attend games. You'll often find me on here having at go at those attacking the attendees in fact.

I'll have no problem admitting I'm wrong with the attendance if I am. I just can't see that many going though.

Hi JC
I was trying to find something positive as we are all in danger of being too negative and despite Kean the team does need us to help.
My point really is that perhaps having brought in a large number of players last season who we just did not play these just were not misery guts's players. This is one of the reasons I think that he was not sacked. I could be wrong. These players remember were for the premiership the ones being bought now are supposed to be to get us out of the championship. We still need desperately a holding midfielder and a solid defender.
I agree that Dann and a few others were just not up to it. I personally do not think Kean is a manager just merely a coach. But hey who cares if we are top by Christmas wont it be nice not to have every weekend spoiled.

I absolutely totally agree.

We have to remember any of this isn't the players fault. I feel truly sorry for them and also the vast majority of Rover staff.

I think we should welcome each and every player. They should all be given a "clean slate", regardless of where they are from.

Some of the players we've signed are class. Best, Murphy and Gomes could easily all turn out legends for us. I sincerely hope they do as well. If we get Silva that would be amazing.

The problem is the club is making that such an uphill struggle it's bizarre. The fans now are staying away and not welcoming players as they should because of the manager. Managers in football are sacked easier than glass collectors. Our manager is hated and his presence is having a huge negative effect on everything from the welcome our players are receiving to the general happiness levels in the town.

But the owners won't sack him, even though it would solve all their problems. Why? Because they would rather carry on with this utter shambles.

That's why the fans are staying away.

Completely agree about the players though. Each and every one of them should be welcomed with open arms.

On the point of "not Keans signings" last season - you are right.
BRAG recently stated that after the Jan 2011 transfer window Venkys and their advisors (?) get EVERY signing in themselves.
.
They blocked every Kean and his agents attempts to bring in "their suggestions". This was highlighted when Kean wanted to sign Pavone and had the Argentine sat in a hotel room for a week but Mrs D wouldnt sign the deal off - it was reported at the time to be a "wages problem" but BRAG has stated they have found out since that Pavone had "3rd party ownership problems" (like alot of Sth American players) and brought in Goodwillie instead. They also state that Kean was so enraged by this he refused to ring Goodwillie up and "welcome him to the club" - this may go some way to show why DG had so little playing time and was even placed down the pecking order behind the dreadfull Modeste.
.
I think Venkys brought in their "own signings" as they were surprised at the high costs of agents fees in the Jan 2011 transfer window (even they realised they had been ripped off).
.
I do agree with you that Kean does seem to have some say in signingsa in this window and personally, I think this is right - no point imposing a player on a manager who dosent want him (DG as a good example - the player just ends up rotting in the reserves).

I think its clear the Kean (and his boss?) are now making some signings again - Murphy, Best but it would also appear that Venkys are also still dabling (through SS) with purchases of their own.

As for being top by Xmas - ?. Personally I'd be amazed, we're gonna lose alot of our best players still, the squad will be okay, better than most in the division but not better than everyone. Looks like Forrest, Cardiff and Watford are going to get serious investment.
Our supporters are still at war with the manager and he will be one of the worst managers in the division - personally I'd be happy if we finished the season mid table and with some stability - stability which, at this moment of time is sadly missing at the club.

I used to be a mild and meek kind of man, but that all began to change the day Venkys walked into Ewood Park.

Now we've gone from Premier League to scraping the barrels of lower league clubs in a couple of months, that, on the back of a statement from Venkys saying they will do all they can to get BRFC back in the premier league.

Now we have some no mark with comedy glasses and moustache who thinks he's got a masterplan that everbody else has missed.

As eggs are eggs Titus will sign, then Shebby will be able to say Ive put Malaysia on the football map to the people back home, he's already stated that he doesnt see a problem with a visa, hes acclimatised, he will personally attend the training session and he will for the moment challenge Martin Ollson. He said all this after admiting he hadn't seen him kick ball!!!

Nzoznzi, french lower league, duff, irish league (can be classed as lower league), nelsen, new zealand league, (again can be classed as lower league), the list goes on. Now please dont start having a go, i get enough on facebook, but please lets just give the players a chance, no matter were they are signed from!

One of two things will happen this season.

a) We will knock the socks off the championship and be in pole position by Christmas (erm.. OK)

b) Kean will get demoted to backroom and a new manager appointed (very likely)

one way or another it will be settled this season I know it.

Remember I hate doing this as a true Blue but in my opinion it's the only way, anything else will just see the club fold and then it's to late to try and save it.
if u feel like that then why u even bothering slating everything thats happening at blackburn and true fans dnt turn their back on the clubs they support its not the players fault for the owners but obvs i'll have abuse and ppl saying something totally different to what ive said even if u hate the managemet and the owners u should at least give the players coming in a chance since they havent done anything wrong yet and if they do crap u have every right to slate them but for now no body has the right but i know opinions count for nothing here because if u dnt hate everything going on at blackburn ppl dnt listen to others
We used to be in the Premier League.
Why aren't we now?
Sit down and have a think about it?

Whats happening now is a mirror image of what went on in the Premier League but now on a lower scale. We're now signing players from 3rd rated teams instead of from 1st rated teams and throwing in a few free aged players.

It would though help if we had a proper management team, but that isn't going to happen.

We have people in charge who think they know what they are doing but as its been proven, they don't.

In 12 months time we might be saying we used to be in the Championship.
Think about it?

This is one of the reasons I think that he was not sacked. I could be wrong. I personally do not think Kean is a manager just merely a coach. But hey who cares if we are top by Christmas wont it be nice not to have every weekend spoiled.
Hee here to that. We desperately need a little stability and some solid results will help.
I am with you and the rest about Keans inability to do a good job but the team will need our support and we will not get anywhere unless we give our usual support. I dont know about you JC but I am fed up about being miserable after almost every game. My wife is so fed up its been close to divorce. We must cheer up somehow and unfortunately we are stuck with the cowboy in charge.

Oh all of ye with short memories...Chris Samba and Ryan Nelsen were hardly household names when they pitched up at Ewood Park. Jonathan Stead was not front page material and look what he did for us. OK Kean may not be everybodys choice bus us as fans, as custodians of the club owe it TO the club to get behind the team and hoep that come this time next year, the promised land may once again beckon. Personally I am pleased with the new signings and if we can hold on to most of last years squad I see exciting times at Ewood and the reasons for those who say they will "never set foot in Ewood again" will become apparent, they are only glory hunters who want to watch a Premiership club NOT watch THEIR club at whatever level.

I tell you what Shebby. If a pro footballer gets to 26 and is still playing the in the French 3rd division then he's no hidden gem. You are taking the p1ss

What he is is a nice little earner in transfer commissions. What's the bet this guy will be signed up and never heard of again.

Still keep up the good work

Those players were found when we had a scouting network, a management team, coaches, and a board that all worked together.

What have we got now? No stability,A Indian family who know nothing about football, an agent who signs his son, a Malaysian who wants to sign another Malaysian, even though he hasn't even seen him kick a ball, who now 26 hasn't got others beating his door down. I mean who in their right mind would say I know who will help get us out of the league, a guy in the french 3rd division, I havent seen play but I knew him when he was eleven? In my opinion thats just someone wanting the glory back in their home nation, saying ''look Ive got Malaysian football on the map''. plus add the list of flops who this lot have signed in just 18 months. A sudden influx of Portugese, which probably something to do with Kentaro Portugal and you wonder why people are cynical? and I haven't even mentioned Kean!

Our Club is full of deluded management each with their own agenda, trying to do something for the club but long the way making sure that it works for themselves as well. You might be happy to let that be, maybe? Im not. This management team have relegated us, ripping the heart out of the club and lying along the way, yet your now excited?

If you think that signing players from 3rd division French teams or other lower leagues with a few free aged stars is going to get us out of the Championship then your in dreamland. If that makes you excited then you are either very naive, blinkered, easily pleased or 10.

Now is not the time to be finding '' undiscovered jems''. Its a time to be getting players that are accustomed and experienced in the League just to give you even half a chance.

We are run by a bunch of egotistcal clowns.

If glory hunting is watching Rovers in the third division then Im guilty.

My own position is this I have not bought a season ticket and I will not be doing...however I will be attending most away games and maybe buy tickets for the local derby’s at home. I shall not be buying anything from the club be it merchandise, food or anything else for that matter, until I see improvements on the pitch i.e. winning games. I want Kean to go but he isn’t and won’t be therefore we have to hope that players like Murphy and Gomes can be the managers that get us through and promoted back into the prem. I have to say I am happy with the players signed especially the experienced ones as we desperately need some leadership in the side. Heres hoping to a good season guys.

There next step will be sending scouts out to watch pub sides, so they can get a team together for under 100 rupees. I would put it past them to paint some chickens blue and white and put these out.

WHAT A POST

So LP, 7500? I say not less than 15,000 probably more. The problem with you and your alter egos is that you think the attending fans are fools, which we are not. Dr Goebells, I presume?
This is absolute propaganda clap trap.
Criticism of the most ineffectual and deluded manager, ever, in the Premiership is not cowardice; it's justified anger towards an individual who is personally responsible for the club's relegation.
Wake up, look aroud you, smell the coffee; BRFC is a joke that is fast spiralling downwards to oblivion under the jurisdiction of Venky's and Kean. The appointmets of such second rate directors as Shaw and Agnew confirms that.

Says the worst Troll on the internet. By slapping the club on the back for their signings and appointments you will be doing far worse damage to the club in the long run than any fan who doesnt attend. You feign dislike for Steve Kean but I'm guessing your membership no. for The Steve Kean Fan Club is #001.
How So ?? I do not troll. I come on this site (and have for a few years) supporting my team and supporting the club. My views on the Venkys and Kean are well documented, I like them not but....
I will not indulge in bullying of any sort at any time. and I believe the club is bigger than the sum of its parts and that Supporters should do just that.
How that makes me a troll I would like you to explain..but of course you can't, its just a pathetic attempt to detract from the point?
As for JC - you want my take on the story? well for astart it is not the kind of player we want to be signing for sure. But have we ? No. In fact we may wll end up with Silva who is much more like what we want..
This is just a silly idea by a silly man but in no way worth raising a sweat over and it probably is a marketing ploy for the Far East..so what? If it brings in some overseas interest fine. Other clubs do it, have you not noticed Chinese footballers are starting to appear in the Prem talk?
As for SK and SS being F>O>S as you say..so is everyone is Football...hold the front page. The whole game is corrupt and anyone who thinks not really is a Happy Clapper
To quote Dunny -Get real!
Of course you are a Troll! You spend countless hours on the Internet arguing with anybody who doesn't agree with your point of view, using big words and typing in a 'matter-of-fact' way to try and belittle anybody who says anything you disagree with. For example, your reply to me said, "How that makes me a troll I would like you to explain... but of course you can't, it's just a pathetic attempt to detract from the point?" Erm... no, it wasn't a pathetic attempt by me to detract from the point at all. You used that phrase to detract away from my point that you're so-called documented views of Kean mean nothing if you're slapping him and his pals on the back for a job well done. Which you are. Oh, and I did prove that you're a Troll. And a petty, pathetic one at that. One other thing, using the phrase 'supporting my club' in your posts doesn't automatically make you right, or some kind of martyr. We all support our club but some of us know that by merely 'getting on with it' will lead the owners to believe that we're fine with everything that's happened since they took over and Steve Kean is the right man for the job. Perhaps you should take your own - sorry - Dunn's advice and get real yourself.

Nzoznzi, french lower league, duff, irish league (can be classed as lower league), nelsen, new zealand league, (again can be classed as lower league), the list goes on. Now please dont start having a go, i get enough on facebook, but please lets just give the players a chance, no matter were they are signed from!
This Malaysian guy isn't even from the French 3rd division, it's more like the Blue Square Premier equivalent, which means the real issue here is why is Shebby Singh lying? Also, Nelsen came from DC United in the MLS, although still a poor league, N'Zonzi was playing in the French 2nd division before he joined us and Duff joined us from a schoolboy team, not a professional club. Can't think of too many other players who've joined Rovers from the lower leagues in recent years other than Keith Andrews.

Rovers Legend my ar5e, was quick to go when city / Rangers came calling.

So we now have a drunk and a liar, a thief and a liar, several life long Rovers from PNE, a tv pundit, some very dodgey cowboys (tearfully did you see that tackle) and indians.

Jack must be so very pleased with his TRUST

Mr Cryer,
Try being a journalist and research why Colin Hendry was not welcome at Ewood under the regime of Rovers greatest ever support Mr Jack Wlker. If my memory serves me right CH behaved rather dishonorable ie persuaded Jack to buy his house then left for Scotland, I maybe wrong but such behaviour will fit in well with the Kean regime.

Please guys I know it hurts but do not renew ST or buy merchandise until Kean is out.

I really can not believe I am typing this I am a normal guy but what Kean has done is beyond belief

Some will see Palani’s opportunity as an attempt by Indian owners Venky’s and Singh to spread Rovers’ name in Asia but Singh is adamant the offer is not just “a marketing ploy”.
It is clearly a marketing ploy. If Shabby was American or French then I would almost accept the interest in the player, but he isn't, it stinks to high heaven. It is one big marketing ploy, the first Malaysian player in the English league, Coincidently brought here by a Malaysian advisor, no matter how could the player is...we shall see.
“We think spreading the net wide is very important, this is serious business now. We will be looking in the lower leagues in England and all over the world, in case there is that player that has been missed.”
To pour more fuel on the fire that the deal isn't right...why would a 26 year in the French lower leagues have been 'missed', technically he is half way through his playing career, why would he have been missed? I'm pretty sure that a top French team would have come in for him by now if he was any good. Which leads me on to more fuel...has anyone looked at Shabbys family tree? does he have a son or nephew playing football in France? I think we saw something like this with Anderson didn't we? What other reason is there for looking at a Malaysian no-mark.

Dear Andy Cryer

On behalf of all Rovers supporters, would you please ask Steve Kean why he has not felt the need to at least make a public apology regarding his abhorrent management of the club we love. In all honesty ( and sincerely) without malice, it makes my stomach turn when article after article mentions that kean has gone here or done this and that, shot over to Portugal etc. I cringe when the phrase 'Rovers boss' is applied to him. Surely Andy, every time the telegraph does approach Kean, or interviews him face to face, questions should constantly be put to him until answers are finally unearthedl. Their is no rocket science involved here. The supporters deserve to hear Kean say that he bogged up, they need to hear him say that in any normal football club his position would have been untenable months ago, and he would, by now, have been sacked. No true Rovers supporter, whether a mouthy dissenter like me, or the hundreds who have been worn down by the 'Lack of kean PR machine.' {catchy eh?) will ever be happy with kean in charge, because that would mean accepting, and, being a part of his sad delusional world. He has the job, he has the wage, but whilst at Rovers, unless he accepts that Northerners value honesty, pride and hard work and he crawls, begging for forgiveness and another chance. He will never have the kudos of a top rated football manager because his record at Rovers will haunt him as well as us. I could not live like that, no Lancastrian I know could live like that....... why should we have to put up with someone like that.

Every Match, let the Rovers Roar KEAN OUT!!!!!

I read the comments with great interest and amused to find most of them beyond credibility and with enormous amount of prejudice against an Indian from Malaysia. Most of the comments are very quick to pass undeserving judgements even before knowing the players real potentials. He might have played for a French lower leagues but does that means or make him not worth playing Blackburn Rovers ? There are hundreds of players from several countries playing in the EPL and "not all" are up to the mark but still playing and wanted by many clubs. Why is it has to be different with Titus James Palani attending trials and why so much condemnation against Rovers’ global advisor Shebby Singh and the owners Venkys. Why do you have question his worth, talents and great potentials if he was not spotted by French Ligue 1 or 2 clubs ? If people like you racial bigots who comment without even knowing much about Titus James Palani and not giving a fair chance to achieve his dreams to play top level football the same could possibly have happened in France. I am a ardent fan of EPL and watch most of the games week in week out and I always wonder with a ponder how did some players manage to get to play. I find to my dismay these pathetic players are not even fit play in Third Division outfit Nanteuil. Never discriminate and condemn any Indian player in this case Titus James Palani without giving a "fair trial". Its very obvious due to your racial discrimination your comments are clearly clouded with baseless negative assessments.

However I find there are some comments who are rational and fair to
Titus James Palani's aspiration to play in EPL. Please dont deny one's desire and kill his dreams by your aloofness about one's true potentials.

The main problem I could see from the comments here is not Venky's,Shebby singh or Kean. It is simply the maturity to understand and perceive what the present management is trying to do revive Blackburn Rovers and return to Premier League next season (2013-2014). Many comments here are irrational and speak out of prejudice but not based on substance. You condemn at everything about Venky's,Shebby singh or Kean without giving them a fair chance to improve the situation. Some are such an idiots who dont even know a little about Shebby yet you are quick to pass unwarranted remarks not fitting to his colourful credentials. Just for you info Shebby was a former Malaysian national footballer and played for several local clubs producing great results.

Titus James Palani is also no fluke as young boy at the age of 12 years he had already shown great potentials. He was the only one player selected by a French scout to train in a French Football Academy. It is very sad and unfortunate the he did not make it to 2nd and subsequently to French 1st Ligue much to the disappointment to many Malaysians, especially me. But this shortcomings in his career is definitely not a question about doubts in skill, talent or quality. Most probably I think in my opinion it could his agent or his managers did not make an true effort market him to top level football. The same could have happened like the manner you racial bigots who are all out "kill" this aspiring talented and worthy Malaysian footballer from having an opportunity to show his great potentials.
