You have to feel some sympathy for the people - Regular civil unrest, with protest marches a regular occurrence, no jobs, property prices crashed. A lack of trust in their leaders has left the people hopeless, demoralised and feeling broken, fearing the future will only bring bankruptcy.
Mind you Greece is a bit of a mess as well!!!!!

Current thinking is - we sign a couple of players and put a spin on all the remaining good ones leaving and stick Agnew and Shaw out for a bit of a PR onslaught and fans will cave in and buy season tickets regardless of Kean.
.
Well I think on this occasion the fans have had enough and can see through this more than a Keanocchio comment and most will not buy ST's. Agnew as good as admitted on radio this week that only 10% of fans will buy ST's regardless and the majority of the rest have to be won over.
.
We know where he could start to achieve that but have the MD and OD got the authority to sack kean? Probably not.
.
Hold out blues and keep that ST cash in your pockets because under 5,000 sold brings shame on these people and the site of 20,000+ empty seats will embarass them.
.
This is our club. But current action has to be to stay strong until Kean goes.

It is only your fantasy to want to see Ewood empty. Why? Bankrupting the club will only bring the Doomsday scenario to pass, it wont make the Venkys go away, only possibly the club itself, that is your agenda not mine.
As stated previously you dont go anyway and you said Venkys were our Saviours when they came
Hypocrite, I think so. Dingle? Probably, but that is only my opinion

if, as is most likely, there is no shady motive behind it, i would suspect it it because as some have already pointed out - something to do with the cost of hosting it at ewood, or the fact that there could be preparations or maintenace happening at ewood. or it could be about looking for new fan recruitment opportunitites. fleetwood is certainly within catchment area, so what's the harm in playing there where some locals who hate blackpool may think it's worth getting down to ewood on a saturday.
and if it is something deeply sinister, like some are predictlably suggetsting, then maybe the threats of protests and torrents of abuse are just too much hassle to deal with for a friendly. the club might well have to pay for additional policing etc, so it is not worth it. or maybe it's some devious attempt to continue to bleed the club dry by keeping the gate receipts out of ewood to make it even less complicated to get it straight into venky's pockets??? eeeeeekkkkkk, that must be it!!!!
either way, i'm pretty sure it's not worth getting in a tizz about, so have a day off chaps and chappetes...

The only constants at any club be it football or any other sport are the fans.
Managers, players, owners, good, bad or as in this case totally appalling, come and go but the club soldiers on because it has its fans there to support it.
Or should have.
If you can't put your hands in your pocket to support your club whatever the circumstances then you loose the right to criticise those who are willing to risk it.
Because without the fans the club will quite simply cease to exist.

No apology has ever been forthcoming, quite an easy and noble thing to have done, yet they try through cheap season ticket renewal, fancy new away kit and supposed quality signings ( not) to tempt you back to liking them.

Per season games at Ewood are always poorly attended, and always end up costing the club. Possibly with Football being very much on the up in Fleetwood, The geographical location, the fact that Rovers and Fleetwood have had other things going on in previous preseasons, it's probably just acade of being convenient for all parties.

It is not about moaning; boycotting is the only way to make the owners reaise that Kean is a liability to the club, not an assett.
If your peformance at work had been so bad for nearly 2 years, you had upset customers by telling them lies, blamed customers for spiking your drink, would you still expect to be in employment.
Of course not!
Customers have a right to expect poorly performing suppliers to put their company in order; the same goes for football. Customers and fans must be listened to.

speedie_rovers_legenIn the past I would have agreed with you. I was always one of the first to criticise the fair weather fans. Just supporting a team when they are doing well is not being a true fan. However, I have never seen this situation before. I know many many true loyal fans who will not be going to Ewood this season. These are not part timers or glory hunters. These are people who have gone for decades through thick and thin and who now see their only option is to boycott. I will never criticise any fan who boycotts nor any fan who continues to support the team. The real enemies here are Venkys and their odious puppet manager.

speedie_rovers_legenIn the past I would have agreed with you.

Ewood Park is too big and expensive to open for the 500 fans or so who will show up probably.

Be in no doubt the new board think fans are thick and weak.
.

At the end of the day every supporter has to make a decision whether to go or not, mine is to go and support my club irrespective of what I think about the imbeciles in charge at this present time.
Its ok chucking out insults and talking about the FC Wimbledon's and FC United's of this world but if Blackburn Rovers go to the wall the club that takes its place will no longer be Blackburn Rovers.
.
No history, no culture, no feeling of belonging, no ground, no players, nothing.
.
It could be worse, we could be Portsmouth fans who appear to be at that stage, like us through no fault of their own, or Rangers fans, ditto.
.
I am not going to hold my breath regarding Venky's and their incompetence, but they do appear to have realised they have messed up big time, and appear to be attempting to do something about it, but I am not going to desert my club in a fit of pique either.
.
Its as simple as that in my mind.

Dingle? Probably, but that is only my opinion
.
Some fans like you have chosen the Light brigade response and rolled over for Kean. Thousands of others have chosen The Alamo response. 10,000 fans in 32,000 Ewood will look and sound like a morgue. We will be back at the right time but I will not renew my ST for the 40th plus year until Kean is gone. Accept that!

The club went into self-destruct mode and has declined from a respected mid table PL team to the joke of football through a series of outrageous and illogical decisions and team underperformed with the statistically worst manager in its history still employed and receiving big money. We the fans (season ticket holders) put up with it last season, to support the club and the manager, who said to judge him on results!, we did!

Yes a personal choice. To continue to pay for the above or wait until the club appologises and makes amends for the diabolical situation it created. I don't see much of that so far.
My choice is to not renew my ST or visit Ewood until I am coinvinced things have changed.

Notice they've made the tickets cheap so the visiting fans can afford to go.
