Looks like no friendlies at Ewood, what a surprise! The year we played Barcelona at home before the season was the best, now look where we are.

10 years ruined in such a short space of time

For all the calls to put a cork in it, he only goes and arranges a bleedin' friendly - Muppet!

The Craggy Island over 70 priest challenge cup winners. I can just hear the comments from Kean following the 3 - 0 pasting

"Despite letting in three goals I thought we were the better side and deserved more from the game. Orr managed to contain Father Ted, and it was obviously a foul on Danny from brother Dougel in the box which could have resulted at a shot at goal and a change in the game. We will take the positives for this very tough match against a very strong cup winning side into the championship next year."

PS - I am not a dingle, just a very disillusioned Rovers fan..............

that will be good...i can start work on the French Kean out banners now:

Kean doit être mise à sac maintenant.

Doesn't quite have the same effect as 'Sack Kean now'....!

I think I've finally figured out Steve Kean.

If he was a Roger Hargreaves Character, he would have been Mr Opposite.

If you take and everything he says as the opposite of what he means, then you realised he's actually very honest:

"We won't get relegated" - "We will get relegated" (true)

"Hoillett to sign in 24 hours" - "Hoillett will NOT sign in 24 hours" (true)

etc..

and of course "Championship teams should fear us" - "we should fear championship teams" (true).

Kean takes the safe option then in going Cork.

Sure Linfield would of give him a better reception?

Bhaswar Goswami, executive director of Celebrity Management Group, felt Venky's never made a real effort to engage the fans either in England or in India. "I feel they did not have the proper marketing strategy. There was no real effort to connect with the huge number of Indian soccer fans. They once came to play in Pune but it was not enough. "Even to the fans in Lancashire, they lacked a clear vision. They have to take the fans there in confidence". "There is strong emotional attachment to the club and Venky's need to honour that. They have to tell the fans where the club is heading." India's best-known football writer Novy Kapadia said. "Venky's ownership did not help our football in any way."I am not surprised Venky's are not popular in England. Their biggest mistake was to remove Sam Allardyce as manager as soon as they took over the club."
Even those in India can see the problem.

well no-one is shedding any light on it, Cryer was asked if it was anyone already mentioned and he also said no. (would hint he knows).

But the usual "sources" keep hinting to "big announcement" but no names.

Could be Zaha as said below, but I was under the impression that is still too far along, as in atill being considered by Palace.

So there is someone in India who knows something about football and appreciates Big Sam. He would undoubtedly plot the downfall of the Spanish national team. 8 tippy tappy midfield players eliminated from the game as the ball soars over their heads!
