  • "Is it true Kean has gone on record to tell all the other championship sides we are the best? we do not even know what our team is as there are a few still o leave us? i wonder why Kean thinks we wont lose many if he is in the market or a few new players? why would he wan to buy new players in Hoiletts position for one? If Hoilett syays and takes there contract he will waste his money.
We will have a big problem if he goes arount boasting we are the best as he doesn't seem to appreciate he is the worst.

It i the time f year we start getting withdrawal symptons and all I can look forward to is a boycott of my team because of one person called Mrs Desai who likes playing around with peoples lives and does not have an inkling of the damage she is reaking."

Murphy: I’m at Blackburn Rovers for success

DANNY Murphy admits he would only consider Premier League promotion as ‘success’ for Blackburn Rovers this season and is confident a squad is being built to make that happen.

The former England, Liverpool and Spurs midfielder believes the ambition of the club will be proved over the coming weeks and insists that was a huge factor in his decision to join.

The 35-year-old admitted he turned down an opportunity to remain at Fulham or move to other Premier League club in favour of embarking on his Rovers challenge.

He said: “I can’t talk about what the other lads think because I haven’t met them but my attitude is certainly only promotion is success.

“I think you will be surprised by the players they are talking about.

“There will be hopefully a couple of really good signings and that was another factor in me wanting to come.

“There is only so much I can do on my own. There are other areas, for example replacing Yakubu if he leaves. The ambition of the owners, Steve and Shebby will be proven by these signings.

“The fact they are not shipping out every good player at the club is another good sign. That would be the easy option, you have seen it before.

“The majority will stay. These are good experienced players, with some terrific youngsters. I am looking forward to it and really think it is going to be an exciting year. You need that bit of luck of course.”

Murphy was aware of the unrest at Ewood Park last season as the club dropped into the Championship amid protests against the owners and the manager.

But, after meetings with the regime at the East Lancashire outfit, he said his mind was quickly put at ease, He said: “It is very difficult for me to comment on what went on in the past because I wasn’t involved. All I can base what I am saying on is the assurances I have had from the owners, Shebby and Steve about how the club is going forward.

“My worries were put to bed quite quickly in that respect. The fact I have signed should say that and I know they are moving forward in all departments.”
