Mr K is remarkably quick on the uptake - no-one has thought of defending better before !!!

When HIS style began to take effect I said if he doesn't work on the defence we willbe in trouble. What has he done? -nothing. You'd train schoolkids more basics than he has over 18 months.
Dignity? Captain Smith on the Titanic had dignity- the ship still went down.
How can anyone defend him or the pirates in charge? I despair.

Better defencively? When Samba and Nelsen have been sold, Salgado and Givet frozen out. A centre back pairing of championship level defenders in Orr and Dann and the rest hurriedly promoted reserve team players as there was no-one else left. Mr Kean and the owners are still not being straight with the fans.

Wouldnt be a problem with our defence if we had Nelsen Samba Emerton and Salgado . Well done Venkys and Kean you have torn apart a once great club . may you both rot in hell

This article makes me feel physically sick. Not because of the comments on our defending, I already know of his incompetence. Not because of the apparent admission that Vileky's knew nothing of football, I knew that.

But instead because of another attempt to mislead about his previous comments, as if he had never spoke about "dark days" being past tense. Very quick to put the positive spin on back-to-back wins, not so quick to talk about 4 straight defeats.

Worse than that, the nonchalant "oh well, europe didn't happen this year" as if to brush over the absolute and utter devastation that the new regime including himself has caused.

Worse than that, to use "refinancing of the club" as some sort of excuse for this devastation, whilst previously claiming he has had "full backing" by the owners for transfers, new contracts and his own job security throughout the season.

Worse than that and worst of all, the notion that Vileky's are here in order to make plans for the summer and next season with Steve Kean as if they are completely oblivious to the outside world.

Let it be known, in my opinion, those buying season tickets next year are facilitators, not supporters. If we still exist after this regime has ended its destruction, i shall return to support the club i once loved - no matter which league we're in, no matter how bad things have got - when they are gone, I will return.

As for the protests, what happened in the home games against Everton, Wolves, Liverpool, Stoke, Man City when there was no protest???? I have witnessed some of the worst football consistently, in a long long time and all we hear from Kean is ‘We were excellent for the first 20 minutes’ or as with the villa 3-1 defeat ‘we got into their box 33 times and they got into our box 33 times’.......What is that meant to mean?!?!!?

For once can he not just say ‘we were poor today, my subs didn’t work and we need to look at where we went wrong’. Saying that he would be saying that every week........

As for the bigger picture, we fans are waiting to hear what this actually is???
All we can see is it involves getting rid of John Williams and Tom Finn, two of the most respected people in football who have built a reputation of Rovers being one of the best run clubs in football, not replace them, get rid of players who have premiership experience and can perform at this level. Sign players who never play. Tell us players are injured when they are interviewed on Sky Sports saying they are fit and ready to play (Salgado), whilst bemoaning the injury list of our defenders. Telling us Ryan Nelsen is injured when a week later he is playing for Spurs..........and don;t get me started on Champions League football, top ten and then the classic ‘We won’t get relegated’........

I have to agree, they are v shrewd businessmen, they bought a well run family club that was mid table in the hardest league in the world. Is it true what some of my friends on FB have been saying that on last night's MOD when Joey Barton scored for QPR, Steve Kean who was watching from the stands was seen on his feet applauding?

This doesn't suprise me, it's obvious to all he is in it only for money and the Venky's financial people have told him that when we are relegated and they get the parachute payments they can all walk away from the club never to have to work again.

This is what happens when you let your three best centre-backs go (Samba, Jones, Nelsen), refuse to play your best remaining defender (Givet), play an attacking winger at left-back (Olsson) and buy a right back from the reserve team of a relegation rival (Orr) then shire that up by putting the incompetent Dann in the middle to bring on the inexperienced and struggling Hanley.

Not to worry you've still got 5 games to sort it  Only 2 of them are away to top of the table sides (Tottenham and Chelsea) and we're only 3 points adrift now. At least there's the six-pointer against Wigan to look forward to. Why would Madame Desai want an experienced manager like Martinez when she has every faith in Kean, she thinks he's "brilliant". Just a pity Sam couldn't get us a few points on the board at the beginning of the season, then everybody could have said what a brilliant job Steve's done again. 70 goals against in 33 games, ten in the last four when we desperately needed some points, and he’s finally worked it out. Our present back-four will never successfully defend against any Premier League side.
But, for a start, how about playing Givet in his normal position and pushing the hopelessly out of position Olssen forward to his natural wide left position, Stevie boy? Then we might get some crosses in – and cut out the ones that are raining in on our defence.
Under the present regime there is no way forward – only downwards. Even with the present players we will struggle in the Championship, to say nothing of an even weaker, cheaper team, which we will get. Next season will very likely bring another relegation struggle.
And as for planning for summer transfers, would that be to discuss which of our players would generate the most income? It's a mystery why Venky’s persist with this destruction of the club?
And, by the way, did you notice how uncharacteristically relaxed Alex Ferguson was after the defeat at Wigan? The only thing he didn’t say in his interview was “Stuff you, Rovers”. I understand he went out for a celebratory drink with Sam after the match.

I have supported Rovers since 1957 and been a season ticket holder for longer than I remember, but with Kean in charge there is no chance of me laying out the £800 for 2 season tickets next season.

I sit within touching distance of Kean and the bunch of no names in the so called coaching staff, and it`s pitiful to see them struggle from game to game, given the choice of doing something or scratching their arse`s i wish they would chose the later, as they are inept to the core.

A final word of congratulations must also go to the recent changes to security around Kean on matchdays. What the hell is going on? are we soon to get moats, barb-wire and snipers in the stands? The last few game have seen
1: Individuals who approach within 20 yards of the bench mobbed by security & the police, treated like criminals for little more than mild abuse and suggesting that Kean should go.
2: Signs have now been put up prohibiting standing etc; in the front area of the stand close to the dugout, the only people who ever stood up there are waiting for a few autographs, you could never have got that close during the match any way.
3: On Tuesday 12 bouncers the size of brick S--t-houses patrolled this area to clamp down on the 1st sign of dissent towards Kean & the Venkys, they stare constantly into the crowd throughout the game. remember these are the £400 a season mainly middle aged couples, what threat do we carry? all season we have had to put up with being spyed upon by the Chief of security and his army of helpers, pathetic!
4: On Tuesday a protest banner was forcebly confiscated from a small group about 40 yards away from the dug-out by the bouncers & police, they were not threatening violence or offering a physical threat to anyone, unless of course you can`t take a bit of bad language. The look of smug satisfaction and self preening on their faces as they brought the banner back to be destroyed was sickening, you would have thought they had caught a mass murderer. This smug congratulatory attitude continued all through the half time break, with back slapping, laughing and hanshakes all around between the brainless no neck bouncers, the police, Keans personal body guard and the pathetic chief of security with the reactolite glasses and hitler tache.

This is what Kean & the Venkys have dragged us down to, they have driven a wedge between the supporters and the club, I will never enjoy going to Ewood again until this clown goes and with luck the Venks either change or sell the club.

You are reviving nothing.... this has ALWAYS been my opinion... was clear from the outset the Venky's had no football interest, and given what has happened at other clubs buying BRFC for virtually nothing, then selling, cost cutting, and grabbing the drop money, should make the thieving charlatan b@stards something in the region of 35-40 mil profit in 18 mths... and thats not a theory... it's a fact.

As far as being here to discuss the summer transfer policy amongst other things.
If the Venkys' were sincere about transfers, why didn't they buy in January to try to help us out of this mess instead of keeping their wallets in their pockets.

Fergie dispatched us from the Premier League last time arround, this time effectively it was Kenny Dalgish... how ironic is that?

I don't how they can assess next season when we don't know which league we will be playing in....yes I know it looks done and dusted and all over after last nights results but a Rovers win at Swansea would put us right back in the mix again....don't know if I could survive another season like this one again though! On the other hand would relegation give us a better season next year if we still have Venkys and Kean...better to suffer in the prem than the chumpionship.

The irony is doubled by the fact that King Kenny picked his reserves, effectively he helped us. Fegie sunk us with glee to get back at Kidd for having the the temerity to leave Old Trafford.

Like many others I have thought long and hard about renewing my season ticket and the conclusion I have reached is that if I do renew I am supporting Venkys and their muppet manager etc, so I will vote with my feet and stop going to games.

I support BRFC, and will do until the day I day.

I urge others who feel the same as me to also vote with their feet as it is the only way to rid ourselves of the money grabbing clowns.

BRFC will still exist, when they have finished stripping it of its assets and dignity, and then I will return, regardless of the clubs position on the league. We have seen the lower leagues before and for those who haven't let me tell you winning is just as exciting in the lower divisions as it is in the premiership. Those who remember Port Vale away in 1975, as I do, will confirm that.

bit before my time 75, although i remember putting money into buckets, for repairs to the stands when saxton was in charge and fox was chairman, we were near the bottom of the old second division, Oldham away was a nightmare wet n windy lol.

Kids (and no hopers like Modeste, Orr) cost less, that's the sole rationale.

I actually believed we could be lucky enough to stay up this season due to the poor quality of the teams around us, but after Tuesday night's defeat to a poor 10 man Liverpool side and then last night's results going against us I am convinced the noose is truly around our necks now. Unfortunately it is the fans who will suffer and have to endure possibly years in the lower division(s) while that clown will be sent off with fat paycheck without ever glancing back over his shoulder at the mess he and Venky's have left behind. It should be illegal what they have done to this great club which until now had always hope and pride to keep us battling when times were tough.

2: Signs have now been put up prohibiting standing etc; in the front area of the stand close to the dugout, the only people who ever stood up there are waiting for a few autographs, you could never have got that close during the match any way.
3: On Tuesday 12 bouncers the size of brick S--t-houses patrolled this area to clamp down on the 1st sign of dissent towards Kean & the Venkys, they stare constantly into the crowd throughout the game. remember these are the £400 a season mainly middle aged couples, what threat do we carry? all season we have had to put up with being spyed upon by the Chief of security and his army of helpers, pathetic!
4: On Tuesday a protest banner was forcebly confiscated from a small group about 40 yards away from the dug-out by the bouncers & police, they were not threatening violence or offering a physical threat to anyone, unless of course you can`t take a bit of bad language. The look of smug satisfaction and self preening on their faces as they brought the banner back to be destroyed was sickening, you would have thought they had caught a mass murderer. This smug congratulatory attitude continued all through the half time break, with back slapping, laughing and hanshakes all around between the brainless no neck bouncers, the police, Keans personal body guard and the pathetic chief of security with the reactolite glasses and hitler tache.

This is what Kean & the Venkys have dragged us down to, they have driven a wedge between the supporters and the club, I will never enjoy going to Ewood again until this clown goes and with luck the Venks either change or sell the club.

Rovers now sit in 19th in the table with a three point gap separating them from safety which added to the 18 month long shambles that Venky's have overseen has left the group with little option but to ask for an out pour of unhappiness from the fans against the owners and as a result manager Steve Kean.

Throughout this time the club have manipulated the media by strategically implementing a smear campaign against its own supporters by painting Steve Kean as the victim.

Steve Kean has been portrayed the victim in the world`s media and it is time to ask where the sympathy is for the supporters who live and breath this club? For seven long and painful months the supporters have voiced their fears and during this time managers of other clubs and sections of the media have criticised these supporters without understanding their concerns and reasons for protests.

Steve Kean has made some outrageous statements and pledges throughout the current season. In June 2011 following the sale of Phil Jones he claimed "Phil wanted to play Champions League football now. Tuesday saw the first visit of Venkatesh and Balaji Rao since the 19th November 2011. A whole 144 days and 21 league games have passed us by during this period of time in which we have sold our team captain and given away our club captain, we have broken the record for the most consecutive games without a clean sheet in the Premier League since the start of the season, the supporters have been blamed live on television for the club`s form by the managers agent, the manager admitted he "forfeited" a cup quarter final, the club posted record annual losses up almost 1000% on the previous year and the manager was rewarded with a new contract as a bonus for his record of 6 wins in 33 league matches.

During Venkys 5 month absence and continued silence, the board of Blackburn Rovers have made no attempt to open constructive dialogue with the protest group.

Despite numerous attempts by the supporters to discuss their concerns around a table, the Board of Directors have reneged on all agreements put in place and have refused to hold open meetings with the group, despite the Deputy Chief Executive Paul Hunt claiming live on local radio that he would hold a full minuted meeting with the protest group, something he later contradicted via a publication on the clubs official website.

The supporters feel helpless whilst the manager is failing in his job, the owners are missing and the board of directors are refusing to communicate openly with the clubs concerned supporters. The biggest form of protest will take place over the summer when large sections of supporters refuse to renew their season tickets, with the latest estimation on the early bird renewals standing at less than 2,000 to date.

Venkys have dismantled an experienced network of football administration and replaced it with an inexperienced board which still lacks the presence of both a chairman and a chief executive. They have dismantled an experienced premiership playing squad, selling or giving away players whom have amassed 600 Premier League games between them, in January alone. Upon their takeover they very quickly replaced a vastly experienced manager with a total novice and have retained him despite his abysmal record.

During this time the club has posted record financial losses and plummeted down the Premier League table without showing any signs of improvement. Morst..your past comments are coming back to haunt you. In years to come a little lad might be looking at the Rovers history and notice a blip of achievement slap bang in the middle of Ince and Kean. He may ask of his Grandad what happened to Allardyce? Why was he sacked? His Grandad will say, my Grandad told me about that. The best and most experienced defender on the books has been fit again and watching from the dugout. Why is Givet not playing? Marcus Olsson is a spectator, not a player.

It is widely believed that Kean was told he could step into Sam’s shoes but would have no control over transfers, among other things, in return for a £1million salary.

Kean, club coach but crucially ‘advisor’ Anderson’s client, couldn’t believe his luck. It would be a small price to pay and it would work out ok, anyway. He was duly appointed as a viable – and cheap – replacement. We all know the destruction that has unfolded since….

It's no good railing at Steve Kean because a man who is barely fit to coach an under 10's school team will cling on to a £1.3m a year job like Wayne Rooney clinging on to the pass key for a care home. Neither is it any use railing at the Venky's because they don't give a moment's thought about the fans.
What we should be asking is how did the trustees of Jack Walker believe they were acting in accordance with their duty of trust in off-loading the club to the Venky's. What criteria did they use to assess the suitability of the Venky's to own the club and what did they do to satisfy themselves that Venky's met these criteria?
With the benefit of hindsight, but only a few weeks hindsight was necessary, Venky's turned out to be the very worst possible owners.

Blackburn Rovers have been hurtling towards relegation since the day he took charge 16 months ago and if this club goes down the reason will be Steve Kean coupled with the owner`s ignorance to the situation, yet the supporters who foresaw this conclusion were ridiculed.

Tuesday saw the first visit of Venkatesh and Balaji Rao since the 19th November 2011. A whole 144 days and 21 league games have passed us by during this period of time in which we have sold our team captain and given away our club captain, we have broken the record for the most consecutive games without a clean sheet in the Premier League since the start of the season, the supporters have been blamed live on television for the club`s form by the managers agent, the manager admitted he "forfeited" a cup quarter final, the club posted record annual losses up almost 1000% on the previous year and the manager was rewarded with a new contract as a bonus for his record of 6 wins in 33 league matches.

During Venkys 5 month absence and continued silence, the board of Blackburn Rovers have made no attempt to open constructive dialogue with the protest group.

Despite numerous attempts by the supporters to discuss their concerns around a table, the Board of Directors have reneged on all agreements put in place and have refused to hold open meetings with the group, despite the Deputy Chief Executive Paul Hunt claiming live on local radio that he would hold a full minuted meeting with the protest group, something he later contradicted via a publication on the clubs official website.

The supporters feel helpless whilst the manager is failing in his job, the owners are missing and the board of directors are refusing to communicate openly with the clubs concerned supporters. The biggest form of protest will take place over the summer when large sections of supporters refuse to renew their season tickets, with the latest estimation on the early bird renewals standing at less than 2,000 to date.

Prior to the forthcoming home match against Norwich City on Saturday 21st March 2012 sections of Blackburn Rovers supporters will hold a 'community march` from Blackburn town centre to Ewood Park and this march will call for the removal of manager Steve Kean, the board of directors and for Venkys to sell the club.

This season has seen a reduction in attendances, as between 2500-3000 supporters have opted to protest with their feet and stop attending home games and these supporters are urged to join in the community march to show their feelings towards the utter disregard the club has treat them with.

"It is with no alternative that we must yet again step up our protests against the owners, the manager and the board of directors of Blackburn Rovers football club. These protests will now run indefinitely until these 3 elements are removed from Blackburn Rovers football club.

Since the takeover from the Walker Trust in November 2010 we have been failing at an alarming rate both on and off the pitch. We feel that we have a duty to the badge which we have supported unconditionally throughout our lives as Blackburn Rovers supporters and our concerns run a lot deeper than fear of relegation. This is about the very future of our football club and what it means to the town of Blackburn.

Venkys have dismantled an experienced network of football administration and replaced it with an inexperienced board which still lacks the presence of both a chairman and a chief executive. They have dismantled an experienced premiership playing squad, selling or giving away players whom have amassed 600 Premier League games between them, in January alone. Upon their takeover they very quickly replaced a vastly experienced manager with a total novice and have retained him despite his abysmal record.

During this time the club has posted record financial losses and plummeted down the Premier League table without showing any signs of improvement. The manager has portrayed the people of Blackburn out to be thugs who have put his personal safety at danger whilst the board of directors have strategically divided supporters and the owners have shown neglect to both the supporters and the towns community.

Both Blackburn Rovers and the town of Blackburn deserves better, therefore it is intended that a Blackburn Rovers community march will take place prior to the next home game which will carry the message 'Blackburn wants it`s Rovers back`

We urge all supporters and the public of Blackburn to come together as a community to show our disgust at the utter contempt these people have shown to our town`s traditions and heritage, together with the recklessness shown to our town`s football club."

Can anyone clarify the action group's stance on Sky subscription,by far and away the biggest form of income.

We have to defend better if we are to stay in this league? But Mr Kean, you told us there was no question of us not staying in this league. What an absolute numptey Surely his wife, or somebody who loves him can have a word in his shell like and tell him he has lost the plot?

The Venkys will never redeem themselves in the eyes of the Rovers fans; they have completely ruined our club. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up like Portsmouth next year, as many season ticket holders will not renew at the end of this season. As for Steve Kean he has been out of his depth throughout his period as manager. The problem we have to face is that if we go out of the Premier League there will be very few organisations or rich individuals who will want to buy the club and so we will be stuck with the Venkys and Kean. I agree with the suggestion that Rovers fans should hold back from renewing their season tickets and try to put financial pressure on the Venkys. I also suggest that the fans boycott the shop and refrain from purchasing any shirts, other souvenirs etc. The Venkys don't care a jot about the feelings of the fans or the people of Blackburn. They may however take notice if their income stream is reduced significantly.This may spur them into seeking a buyer for the club.

I must say we defo need wins against swansea, norwich & wigan... theres nothing to gain at tottenham & chelsea who will be fighting for strong finishes in the league... and pray the others at the bottom of the table slip up big time...
but if we do gain the unexpected and do stay up will Kean get more of a chance as manager?? and will Venkys actually do anything about the club or will they do the same again and just leave it??

We have very little opportunity of staying in the Premiership with Kean in charge as he is totally clueless on team tatics.
