A PLAQUE has been unveiled to mark the opening of the new first tee at Warrington Golf Club.
Captain Keith Newnes and lady captain Anne Smith cut a ribbon and unveiled the plaque at the Appleton club, following extensive work on the opening hole through the winter.
The captains’ charities for the year are the Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball Foundation for Peace and the neurological assessment ward at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
Several fundraising events have already taken place including a bridge drive, quiz night and charity dinner with entertainment provided by Warrington Rock Choir.
A charity golf day is taking place on Sunday, June 30. It costs £165 for a team of four including a three-course meal.
To book a place or for more details call the club on 261775.
