YORK has been doing its bit to support the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal.
Already this month city collectors have raised £3,700 since the appeal launch last Thursday, which saw 20 collectors take to the streets asking people for a small donation, to receive a daffodil.
Marie Curie community fundraiser Laura Hambleton said the appeal had been going very well, and on the day there were bands in Parliament Street.
The Lord Mayor Coun Keith Hyman joined in with the proceedings.
