Just saw this news on the Rovers website about travel to Millwall:

Blackburn Rovers fans planning to attend the forthcoming FA Cup sixth round tie against Millwall on Sunday March 10th should note that the rail network between London Bridge and South Bermondsey – the closest station to The Den – will be suspended on the day of the game.

Therefore, supporters travelling by train would need to get the underground from Central London to Surrey Quays and then walk to the stadium.

I know Surrey Quays area quite well and the pub on the corner across from the station is called 'Surrey Docks' and even though it is a Wetherspoon pub it is where all the Millwall nutters will congregate before and after the game...a very dodgy place best avoided!

If you want a few beers before the game best to go around London Bridge station before you get on the tube to Surrey Quays. And don't take the short cut through the local estate when you come out the station either.... but apart from all that then it could be a good day out for Rovers as we progress to the semis..!

Nunes on left wing put decent crosses in games early this season. We have a left winger, he should be given a chance.

As for BRFC this was bought by Venkys of Pune India not as a profitable business as we know when Venkys bought BRFC the club had a debt of £25 million which Venkys took on board.The club is loosing money and Venkys are now keeping the club afloat with large cash injection from Venkys other profitable business around the world which made profits of £100 million last year.
Football clubs are a rich man's toy in their spare times and football club do not make profits it's just a sport people enjoy.Thats why the English sugar daddies have sold all our clubs foreign Billionaires.
Abromwich bought Chelsea and spent £300 million in this club to this date.

Thanks for your reply,I apreciate it, though it has left me even more puzzled,. Even with the £25m debt the whole cost of B.R.F.C. still cost far less than just the debt of most Premiership sides of the same level and above than the Club was when sold,and as it was taken out as a bank loan under venkys London,it didn't cost the venkys anything personally I guess. If the Club was not bought as a profitable business,why were all the players of any repute sold off over the last two years? You are right that venkys promised to put money into the club every year ,though £5m was the figure given at the time i believe. I can however,see no evidence that any money has been forthcoming from the owners personally,apart from a small percentage of the sums that the player sales realised. The club infrastructure has been destroyed and the professional staff that helped to keep the Club where we were when sold ,were either replaced on the cheap or not replaced at all. If ,as you say, the Club is now losing money,this is largely because the venkys and their money grabbing cronies have dragged our Football Club down to the level of the 1970s , It is the venkys fault entirely that the gates have halved under them, that shirt sponsership dried up,that corporate box bookings dropped to almost zero, and above all I blame them 100% for taking what was a proud,respected mid Premiership Club and turning us into a laughing stock of a Club that has to rely on loan players just to put a squad out. They have no interest in the Club,they couldn't even be bothered staying to the end of the match at Ewood on only her 2nd visit in two years. What state are we going to be in when they finally get rid of their abused and unwanted toy???.....

It's been wave after wave of parasites and mediocrity since the Vilekys regime took over. Shebby Singh just heads a list of many, from players right through to ownership for whom you could ask the same question.

Anybody that can't see the profiteering carried out by these 'owners' simply has their head in the sand. 35 million recouped in transfers alone, more when Rhodes is inevitably sold on, a lovely set of parachute payments and a whole host of dodgy dealings for the likes of Myles Anderson and Ruben Rochina.

As this year we are unless little bit lucky going to come up short. Which is fine as we will clear wages for a lot of the players down. And move on with motivated grop of ambitious players.

The expectations of Appleton should be that he gets us promoted during his 2.5 year contract. That is what he has been employed to do.

He is barely a couple of months into that contract now and what a mess he had (and still has) to sort out. We cannot keep changing managers just because a few results don't go our way. We have no divine right to suddenly improve from our lowly position and start beating teams like Cardiff, Hull and Leicester who have been working on their squads for a couple of years to get them to this point now. It takes time.....

Appleton needs to be given that time to turn this mess that he inherited around - there are no better alternatives.

There are no top line managers waiting to come in - there are no money men waiting or wanting to buy the club. This is it.....sad but true. Support MA.

Yes i am modan i did say India is an emerging economy and India is the second fastest growing economy in the world after China.India has 350 million on poverty and India is trying to eradicate poverty by 2025.Indian Government is spending £70 billion on welfare to lift millions out poverty every year.The Western governments are to stop economic aid to India on 2015 and Indian President says the sum of $4.5 billion is peanuts as India is spending £70 Billion on welfare to help the poor in India.
As for BRFC this was bought by Venkys of Pune India not as a profitable business as we know when Venkys bought BRFC the club had a debt of £25 million which Venkys took on board.The club is loosing money and Venkys are now keeping the club afloat with large cash injection from Venkys other profitable business around the world which made profits of £100 million last year.
Football clubs are a rich man's toy in their spare times and football club do not make profits it's just a sport people enjoy.Thats why the English sugar daddies have sold all our clubs foreign Billionaires.
Abromwich bought Chelsea and spent £300 million in this club to this date.

Some billionaires will spend crazy money on their football clubs but some billionaires will not break their bank and spend crazy amount of money.
Venkys did promise to spend between £15 million to £20 million a year in BRFC.
Shebby Singh made statement recently saying the club was in healthy financial position than many clubs in the Championship despite Rovers being relegated and if the oucome was if Rovers failed to get promoted back to PL this season.

Even with the £25m debt the whole cost of B.R.F.C. still cost far less than just the debt of most Premiership sides of the same level and above than the Club was when sold,and as it was taken out as a bank loan under venkys London,it didn't cost the venkys anything personally I guess. If the Club was not bought as a profitable business,why were all the players of any repute sold off over the last two years? You are right that venkys promised to put money into the club every year ,though £5m was the figure given at the time i believe. I can however,see no evidence that any money has been forthcoming from the owners personally,apart from a small percentage of the sums that the player sales realised. The club infrastructure has been destroyed and the professional staff that helped to keep the Club where we were when sold ,were either replaced on the cheap or not replaced at all. If ,as you say, the Club is now losing money,this is largely because the venkys and their money grabbing cronies have dragged our Football Club down to the level of the 1970s , It is the venkys fault entirely that the gates have halved under them, that shirt sponsership dried up,that corporate box bookings dropped to almost zero, and above all I blame them 100% for taking what was a proud,respected mid Premiership Club and turning us into a laughing stock of a Club that has to rely on loan players just to put a squad out.
