A PROUD Michael Appleton has hailed his Blackburn Rovers side after they moved into the FA Cup quarter finals with a 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium.
Rovers stayed firm against heavy Arsenal pressure before Colin Kazim-Richards fired home the winner in the second half.
Appleton said: "I have said it for a while but it is about hard work, organisation and team effort. I thought the lads were fantastic.
"We will enjoy that and then focus on Hull City in the league on Tuesday night. Matches like that have to be great for the confidence.
"The fans were great and Im sure they will have a good night."

We defended like lions today, sat deep but looked completely organized, calm and resolute against a team who became increasingly desperate and agitated as they ran out of ideas.
And all the while all a confused Wenger could do was scream at the official as they ran out of hope. And the London media crowed "how could this happen?"
Perfect. A brilliant narrative and an excellent ending.
And when supporters of 'top clubs' ask me why I support Rovers, I just smile and say "you wouldn't understand"

Your juvenile comments are alienating you from the majority of folks on here. They are only concerned with their club, not with how well India are doing economically. Your bragging will only prime others to start listing the huge social and environmental problems that India has. So please just become a Rovers supporter on here, not an Indian propagandist. The banter will then just be about our team, and football, as it should be.

(work , work , work !!)
May I ask a question or two ??
1 - Why was Rhodes substituted ?
2 - Was Goodwillie the best choice ?
3 - Orr got a yellow - was that fair ?
4 - Did Bentley contribute ?
5 - Did Wenger put on his best team or was he looking to Europe ?
6 - What thoughts on Hull on Tuesday ?
Thanks in advance .

4. No, but he o ly had sufficient time to introduce himself to his new team mates.
5. No, his three best players were on the bench.
6. Rovers very much improved and a good team spirit in evidence so every chance against Hull. Mid field is the weak spot as Rovers are so bad at retaining possession they are afraid to even try.

"Blackburn just kept believing they could get something out of this game. The amount of pressure Arsenal were putting on them at the end was relentless. Forwards Colin Kazim-Richards and Jordan Henderson at the top of the formation were willing runners and held onto the ball.
"Lee Williamson and Jason Lowe never stopped running in midfield, while central defenders Grant Hanley and Scott Dann will not have played a better game this season, or maybe in their entire careers. And the goalkeeper Jake Kean was on another planet. Every single one of them, the manager Michael Appleton included were outstanding. Williamson made his debut so it was quite a raw team with one or two individuals that have played in the Premier League.
"It was a scruffy finish by Kazim-Richards, but he kept himself solid and tucked it in. It was a stunning goal because Arsenal were dominating but Szczesny should have done better when he palmed the Martin Olsson shot straight to Kazim-Richards.
"All credit to Mike Appleton and his team, they've somehow managed to win here and go through into the next round. They're enjoying it now with their fans, and this will live long in the memory for both the Arsenal and Blackburn supporters for very different reasons."
Sweet, sweet, sweet.

Kean had an outstanding game and at 22, what a career he could have playing for us! The back four had a great game too, I thought Orr had it bad for the first 35 minutes, then settled in well. The Hanley-Dann partnership just gets better and better!
Williamson had a fantastic debut, very Jermaine Jones-esque. Should give us a bit more midfield dominance at Championship level, something we were never going to get at the Emirates.
CKR- thank you for not going back to Turkey! Finally got the goal his recent performances deserved.
MA is turning our situation around. Unbeaten in 6 games, conceded 2 goals.
Hull away is a massive game on tuesday. Completely different game to Arsenal, we'll have to bring the game to them. 100% believe we can take three points from there but it is not going to be easy at all.
Just a prediction, DJ Campbell to score on Tuesday.
1 loss this year, we're are definitely looking up.

Yes, India has come a long way, based on the political, legal, business, rail systems, etc that the British built and left for them, but we are not interested in talking about it on this site, so please stop.

India is the second largest investors in UK created thousands of jobs in UK.
China is an evil communist country do not even speak English language ,China has been exporting cheap goods to Britain and Europe and millions of British and European loss their jobs .

China wants to rule the world they want to be superpower and dominate the world and they don't play cricket or football they only understand Martial Arts.

So Venkys bought BRFC to help promote football into India.
