Glad you enjoyed the fan support Michael, we enjoyed watching Rovers playing like they wanted to win. don't know what you said to them in the dressing room at HT, but it sure made a difference.

Feeling the confidence sweeping through the squad and lifting the fans, lots of smiling faces and credit to Derby fans, very humble in defeat. Enjoying this new found passion, some really tight play and the whole team looking transformed and hungry already.

Seeing that this STILL isnt Appys team, its a credit to him. I think I have to say Shaw was right to lure him to Ewood, he may be inexperienced in some eyes but he seems pretty clued up from what Ive seen and heard so far. MA said in his post match interview that he felt the last game in his eyes was his first win and he's right because he got the squad playing like they should be and todays win was a result of that as the confidence is building in the team.

Well done MA. You may just tutn out to be our saviour yet.

Mr Shaw had an excellent rep at Preston for keeping them going and, once he left, they stopped being playoff hopefuls with Prem ambitions and have slipped into the league below. The man knows his stuff and its starting to show.

And he's shut Shebby up! That goes some way in my book!

i went twice that season if memory serves me right , got chased in the league match and went back for more in the fa cup . ye , was a relief to se back up . watching oldham beating liverpool which takes my mind back to many a time on the old chaddy end with the bouncy wooden floor ,top away days .

Your grandad must have been a very brave boy, because I can remember many 52,000 capacity crowds but never any as big as that. I hope he took his wellingtons with him to wade through all the urine flowing down the terraces, into the River Darwen. Oh for those happy days.

Cheers Mr French, my grandad passed away some time ago, it was probably back in the 70's when he was telling me his stories so the details are vague at best.

My original call for a statto was just curiosity, what percentage of the towns then population probably went to that game ? and how big a ground would we need if we had that level of support today ! Are you up to the challenge ?
