Rosado handed first Blackburn Rovers start

PORTUGUESE midfielder Diogo Rosado will make his first Blackburn Rovers start in this afternoon's Championship match at Middlesbrough.

Rosado is one of three changes made to the side who lost at Blackpool last time out, as Henning Berg looks for just his second win as Rovers boss.

Rosado replaces Simon Vukcevic, while Danny Murphy returns to the side in place of Dickson Etuhu in the centre of midfield.

Grant Hanley resumes his partnership with Scott Dann in the heart of the defence, with Gael Givet back on the substitutes bench.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is not included on the bench, with the club saying he is suffering from a back injury.

ROVERS: Kean, Henley, Hanley, Dann, Martin Olsson, Diogo Rosado, Murphy, Lowe, King, Kazim-Richards, Rhodes

SUBS: Seb Usai, Givet, Dunn, Pedersen, Etuhu, Rochina, Vukcevic

MIDDLESBROUGH: Jason Steele, Justin Hoyte, Andre Bikey, George Friend, Grant Leadbitter, Marvin Emnes, Emmanuel Ledesma, Josh McEachran, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Scott McDonald, Jonathan Woodgate

SUBS: Jayson Leutwiler, Kevin Thomson, Nicky Bailey, Rhys Williams, Andy Halliday, Ishmael Miller, Richard Smallwood

Have just seen the team for today. Unbloody believable!!!! At 5 o clock it will be one win in ten games for Berg and if he doesn't have the decency to resign then Singh, or whoever is pretending to run this club, must sack him to avoid another relegation battle.
If Robinson has a bad back its because Berg has stuck a knife in it!
BERG OUT!!!!!!!!!!! tonight!

I would have liked to see Vukcevic return. He had a pretty good game against Blackburn and put a decent shift in. Would be a good sub to bring on at half time if needed.

Desparation throw of the dice by Berg - does he really have the dressing room?

Based on his judgement so far would you trust him to spend wisely in the transfer window?

Obviously Dunn is only used on the subs bench - does it come down to appearance money?

My season ticket whilst on the dace of it looked cheap is now looking like a poor investment I am more despondent now than at the start of the season

We're not just suddenly going to beat top 6 teams at their stadium. Get real. Also you're writing players off before they've even been played. Have you lot even seen Rosado in central midfield? We'll see today because this was his position in Portugal.

However, definitely not a promotion team.

Disppointed that Givet is out again, because Dann is a liabilty. Murphy and Etuhu are also hopeless.

BBC have Shabby Singh as a co-presenter for the game, talk about lack of tact and judgement. The incluson of this man is an afront to most Rovers fans. I have just turned the radio off in disgust because just the sound of voice gives me the creeps.

They are a relegation destined team and what can we expect with that absolute buffoon pulling every string at the club and now that includes Radio Lancashire commentary. Shouldnt he have other things to do as Global Advisor, like an emergency planning meeting with those clueless, negligent, aimless, disinterested numptys in Pune?

Another defeat on the way, how many more? The team did better under Eric Black. With all the great potential English managers in the country why did we appoint an experiened person, whatever his good intentions?

Ten games and still no clean sheet, dann and hanely never worked, yet still henning berk sticks with them, still a goal in it and chance to get something, those creative players on the bench have to be added now not later, just the ball in the box in the first place, dont overcomplicate it and lose posession.

Noticed he's gone quiet 2nd half now we are getting stuffed. Manager doesn't seem to know how to change things round or he hasn't got the players to do it. Kean doing well though. Only way is down at the moment as everyone can beat us,this lot can't compete at Championship level. It will be the same in League One.

How long will it take for somebody at Ewood to stand up and say we are NOT good enough to compete this league. Burnley can now quite rightly claim they are a better team than Rovers

Saturday Barnsley - the trap door is looming - promotion is out of the question

Singh needs to do the honest thing and RESIGN now - he has brought nothing to the club other than making it 10 times worse than it was at the end of last season. Berg has to examine his own conscience and do the honest thing too - Relegation is not just a possibility it is looking an increasing possibility - Look at the from table Shebby - you promised DECISIVE ACTION - take it now and tell Venkys sorry you have lost your money so get out quick you are not wantedm at EWOOD

Berg has had best part of a quarter of the season and has only managed to get one win out of this squad. Kean and then Black got more. He is not up to the job and has shown no reason to believe he can rebuild the squad in January. He is too much of a risk, if we stick with Berg relegation is a real threat. Berg needs to go and he needs to go now. Our problem is who would come with the Singh and Venkys circus but the results over 10 games don't lie and Berg is not the man to lead our club.

You mean after our "good away point against a very good Ipswich side", a very lucky win against hull, a loss to mk dons, almost throwing away the game at Leeds and a score line that flattered us against a very poor Bristol city with TWO injury time goals & THREE conceded. It was the first month of the season and teams were showing us undue respect because of the high profile names we had in our squad. We got found out as kean left (not as he was forced out by people on an Internet forum) Looks like the lack of fitness is starting to take its toll on the team to me. I ask you this, why has nobody else snapped up the incredible Steve kean? Because he is a criminal, a low life and a clueless clucking idiot in every sense of the word & you are deluded if you think anything other.

Steve Kean resigned. Incompetent manager that he was, having managed to scrape points at the beginning of the season from unconvincing performances against teams still below us currently, he at least had the perspicacity to realise that the ramshackle collection of players he laughably described as his "best ever squad" would be lucky to cling onto a play-off place by the end of the season. Being the money grubbing chancer Rovers fans came to recognise him as, Kean preferred to take a chance on a last lucrative pay-out on a concocted constructive dismissal argument rather than risk Rovers fans interminable wait for Venkys to finally show some footballing sense coming to an end by sacking the conniving deadweight.

Because of the self-interested actions of Venkys, Kean, SEM, Kentaro and the fairy-tale telling agent my club is in a terminal decline from which it will probably never recover. Whilst our rise in the early nineties was meteoric and crowned by the ulimate domestic achievement, my expectation is that Venkys will drag us far lower than Jack Walker ever had us flying high. The last two seasons have been about descent and a fall from grace: rather than chasing promotion, by the end of January after a purge of saleable assets and no real replacements we will be beginning our "fight" against relegation to League One.

Where do I state that berg is more "accomplished" or "successful" than kean? Ironically, considering berg has actually managed before, I would say he is more accomplished. With regards to success, berg has had far less games than kean had and kean achieved relegation, cup defeats to lower league opposition two seasons running and a couple of early wins against teams who expected us to be guaranteed promotion contenders.

Realistically I didn't want either of them to be out manager.

i dont think its really going to make any difference who the manager is because everybody seems intent on employing their mates and making decisions based on how we can get as much money for ourselves possible. Unfortunately for us, peoples mates are not experienced football people with the clubs best interests at heart. Unless venkys stand up and say we've taken enough bad advice and put their trust in a proven football manager to run the club, we're only going one way i reckon.

The ongoing saga at Ewood Pk has gone beyond my wildest nightmare....from the Owner,s to the Directors & Global Advisor and, of course some of the senior players.....it now seems there is a script being played out with many ego trips and people making the most of the situation on hand.
It seems the blind misleading the blind and with the damage already done by Conman Kean PLUS the obvious lack of experience and knowledge in the Boardroom/Owner department, Berg as little chance of success.
Playing squad reflects very poor judgement over he last two years...and with many individuals focused on "ME" and not the club, things are not going to get better.
Miracles come along only very seldomly....
Bottom line is, would you expect success if an Amercian bought Lancashire CC.....same with Indian business people playing around with a professional Football team....McCarthy and others saw the joke it now is.
It is going to be a "winter of discontent" I feel...with no sign of a turnaround until the Ownership saga ends !!!!
