Rovers get shirt sponsor
5:18pm Friday 14th December 2012 in News
Blackburn Rovers have announced a new commercial partnership with PROBIZ Excellence Ltd.
In a unique deal for the club, PROBIZ will be shirt sponsors for tomorrow’s npower Championship match away to Blackpool and at home to Brighton next Saturday. They will then revert to the back of shirt space from Boxing Day onwards.
PROBIZ is a business-to-business brand focussing on wealth management and accountancy-based solutions. Rovers will work very closely with PROBIZ on a range of opportunities with the intent of a medium-to-long term relationship.
Greg Coar, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Rovers, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome PROBIZ on board. They have been involved in sport – football, cricket and rugby league – for some time and their understanding of the power of sport as a vehicle to gain awareness for their brand has made our conversations productive.
“It also helps that their founder and owner, Feisal Nahaboo, was born in Blackburn – so this is also a powerful personal project for him.”
Feisal said: "I have been very fortunate to achieve many financial and strategic dreams with my business PROBIZ. I was working at the back of an ex-council house a decade ago watching and cheering on Blackburn Rovers on TV.
"To be in dialogue with Blackburn Rovers is an achievement in itself, never mind to be on the front of the shirt for tomorrow’s match against Blackpool.
“It is an emotional day for me personally and I know my 400 accountancy firms and many of their clients will back this commercial move and become new fans of the club.
" I wish the club tremendous ongoing success and I'm proud to be an instrumental part of the club that represents my place of birth. It's nice to be back home."

I guess the reason they will only have the their name on the 'front' of the shirt for two games is that the front is the 'premium cost' space for any sponsor and Probiz may not be able to afford that sum. But they will be on the back of the shirt for the rest of the season it seems. That's the Riverside and part of the shirt sponsored now...were getting there albeit very slowly..

Are they hoping to do this with other companies? If so, our shirt will no longer be a symbol of the club, just another advertisement hoarding. Like an old, well-travelled suitcase, it'll be adorned with 'stickers' of little known 'places' that it had once spent a fortnight in. I know lots of clubs in other countries have several sponsors on their shirts but they have them in place at the same time. They don't start collecting them like Boy Scouts earning their badges.
Of course this may not be the case and Venky's haven't got anybody else lined up to pay Premier League prices for Championship advertising. It'll explain why Shebby Singh failed to mention PROBIZ when questioned about shirt sponsorship a few days ago - it would have led to even more questions that he couldn't answer.

So what do you think of that modan?
I have watched in horror as the the town I grew up has gradually turned into a foreign land, with certain areas resembling a 3rd world shanty town due to the prehistoric living standards and blatant ignorance of the British way of life of certain communities, so don't come on here preaching about how lucky we are to have multi racial community and strong community cohesion - we're about as lucky to have that as Rovers were to end up being owned by Venkys.

.India was a Third World country now it's the fastest growing economy in the world.Britain no longer will give economic aid from 2015 as you did not checked your facts.By 2025 India's economy will be larger than UK,Brazil,Germany and Japan.India will be an economic superpower by 2025 along with China and USA.Just look at Indian invstment in UK TATA bought out Corus,Land Rover /Jaguar and Tetley Tea.Laxmi Mittal the richest man in UK who owns th world's largest steel plants Arcelor Groups, many British Indians own companies in UK like New Look,Poundstrechers,
Euro Garages,Euro Packaging,Northern Foods ltd,Reliance,Caparo Group,Binatone Electronics,East End Ltd,Voi Jeans,Faisaltex Group,Cohen Chemist Groups,B&M Stores ,Cobra Beers and many more.Forgot Venkys of India bought BRFC as Walkers wanted to sell this small town club for £48 million ,there was no Arab or American billionaires were intrested in buying BRFC.
USA population of 300 million people, the world's largest economy and a superpower has 50 million people on poverty Poverty even exist in UK with 9 million people living on the breadline. The world cannot eradicate poverty even there is good welfare system in UK.India is a developing economy with a population of 1.2 biilion people and was under British Rule for over 2 hundred years until independence in 1947 .India is trying to developed it's economy by rapid industrilization, bui
lding schools,universities
,building good infrastructures like motorways,airports,m
etro rails, shopping malls, homes for the poor people, etc etc India is trying hard to eradicate poverty ,it is estimated that every year Indian Government is lifting some 30 mlillion people out of poverty by way of providing jobs, homes and education. It is a big challenge for India,China,Brazil and many other Third World countries.
As for a large muslim population in Blackburn with Darwen some 40,000 muslims live in this town building 60 or so beautiful mosques in a town with full of bad old terrace houses built in victorian times and many of these old terrace houses are not even fit for human habitation.Blackburn is just a typical northern mill town. For many years the Irish ,Polish,Indians and Pakistanis arrived here for work in the textile mills.Folks from these poor countries came here to escape poverty .

"India WAS a third world country" You say.
Why is it then that 68% of Indian people are STILL surviving on less than £2 a day ?
Read this.
Poverty in India is widespread, with the nation estimated to have a third of the world's poor. In 2010, World Bank stated, 32.7% of the total Indian people fall below the international poverty line of US$ 1.25 per day (PPP) while 68.7% live on less than US$ 2 per day.
According to 2010 data from the United Nations Development Programme, an estimated 37.2% of Indians live below the country's national poverty line. A 2010 report by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) states that 8 Indian states have more poor people than 26 poorest African nations combined which totals to more than 410 million poor in the poorest African countries.
According to a new poverty Development Goals Report, as many as 320 million people in India and China are expected to come out of extreme poverty in the next four years, while India's poverty rate is projected to drop to 22% in 2015. The report also indicates that in Southern Asia, however, only India, where the poverty rate is projected to fall from 51% in 1990 to about 22% in 2015, is on track to cut poverty in half by the 2015 target date.
The latest UNICEF data shows that one in three malnourished children worldwide are found In India, whilst 42 percent of the nation's children under five years of age are underweight. It also shows that a total of 58 percent of children under five surveyed were stunted. Rohini Mukherjee, of the Naadi foundation-one of the NGO's that published the report-stated India is "doing worse than sub-Saharan Africa,".
The 2011 Global Hunger Index (GHI) Report places India amongst the three countries where the GHI between 1996 and 2011 went up from 22.9 to 23.7, while 78 out of the 81 developing countries studied, including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Kenya, Nigeria, Myanmar, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Malawi, succeeded in improving hunger condition.

ation etc etc. This is a huge challenge India is facing trying to eradicate poverty .Ask yourself that why is this British Government ending £300 million in economic aid to India in 2015 ? because India's economy is one the biggest economy in the world and the fastest growing economy in the world.Forget your stats those countries you have mentioned like the ones in Africa and others in Asia cannot live without foriegn aid money now or in 20 years time.India no longer needs foreign aid money as it's economy is one of the largest.India still faces tough challenge ahead o tackle poverty as you have mentioned.
India is one of the most industrilised country in the world,India has one of the largest Billionaires in the World,India built rockets and sends satellites into space, India is one the countries with most Universities, college
s,schools,roads,rail
ways, shopping malls,India is third biggest producer of steel,it's textile industries the largest in the world, the car industry is the fifth largest in the world and set to become the second largest by 2025.Yes India needs to tackle hunger and poverty.India is the largest democratic country in the world ,free press ,free courts, free education while communist China has takled poverty and hunger but it's people do not have free elections, free pess or free courts like India. The West and USA are biiggest allies and .friends of India. The West wants India to become the next superpower to couterbalnce communist china's vast military machines. Both China and India are wanting to become superpowers by 2025.

,France and UK.British Government will end economic aid to India in 2015 of aroun £300 million .The Indian Goverment told UK goverment its peanuts we dont want your handouts as Indian Government spends £70 Billion on social welfare budget to tackle poverty in India.India lifts 30 million people out of poverty every year. The Uk goverment says India is a rich country with some 400 million people who are on poverty but India can tackle poverty without Foreign economic aid.India spends billions on defence, space programs, a country which has more billionaires than Europe , India is the third largest investors in UK's economy .Why does India need foreign economic aid? India is a rich country with 400 mllion poor people with a population of 1.2 billion, because of inequality which could sorted by Indian authorities if it took more seriously. This is biggest challenge India faces is to tackle poverty and inequality by 2025 .

The UK Government says India ia a rich country which spends billions on defence, space programs ,planning to send a rocket to Mars and have more billionaires than Europe.
As for India's military it has the fourth largest military might in the world ,yes China defeated India in border war in 1962 because India was not well equipped with modern war machines in that time.Since India has built up it's military machines since 1962 with the help of UK,USSR,France and USA .India today as fourth largest military might in the world, fourth largest airforce in the world, space program, built nuclear weapons and India has icbms a powerful navy.China dare attacks India now ,with India's long range ballistic missiles can reach China and beyond. As for Pakistan defeating in 1965 , are you insane India defeated Pakistan three times in 1948,1965 and 1971.India gave Pakistan a good hiding ,only recently India sends 3000 tanks on Pakistan border that Pakistan PM ran to UN for help.Every naive Pakistanis know that India is vastly superior to Pakisan in Miliatary and economically.India is the 4th largest military mights in the world, what is Pakistan 15th largest military in the world behind the likes of Japan,UK,France,Germ
