Good to see Henning is making the decisions then, but I must admit I did have my doubts. Good also to see things clarified in this way rather than the silence we have had in the past.
Just one thing Henning, why hasn't Vucevic been given a chance ? He's looked pretty useful the odd time he's been given a run out ,and what's wrong with Givet, the only one with any guts that we seem to have at the moment ?

Can someone from the Venkys explain the free fall of the club under their appalling leadership from India? We the fans still need answers on this and some appologies.
In 2 years from 11th in the premier to 13th in the championship, and falling down the championship table with 1 win in 8 games, and a bunch of overpaid useless players in the first 11 such as Scott Dann, Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu?

Berg knows more about football than Shaw, Agnew and Singh combined. I feel sorry him having to put up with these clowns every day. And the useless mercenaries signed by them and Kean that Berg has to work with.

As much as the current run of form is painful, and Berg appears to be struggling, he needs a chance. If he goes, we've even less chance of attracting a decent manager after him.

I for one will make my mind up on Berg in May. Whilst available cash won't be plentiful, I just hope the office idiots let him get on with changing the playing staff in January to what he wants.

Hendry's relegation speaks volumes for his abilities as a coach, why keep him on at all though if he is that bad?

They have accepted they need help..but unfortunately they have been advised by the wrong men..Anderson and Shebby to name a few!

According to the BBC website Mr Singh says we will not sell our assets. A definition of assets is "Property owned by a person or company, regarded as having value and available to meet debts, commitments, or legacies" Well most of the players are liabilities, not assets. Most of them are not capable of meeting the clubs commitments, and the Venkys and Mr Singh are going to leave a legacy of a complete shambles at Ewood, when they finally decided to go. Assets? Don't make me laugh. I feel very sorry for Mr Berg, he has inherited a poor squad of Kean and Singh signings and is doing his best. Unfortunately you cannot make a silk purse out of a pigs ear and that is the whole problem. The squad is simply not good enough. Have a good clear out and start again.

Henning Berg was a top, top defender of his generation, and in no way will he wish to see the disaster before him plus his managerial credentials are at stake here.

Let Berg go about his business in restoring the great history we have(warts and all). Berg as more of an affiliation with BRFC than the previous imposter.

well said Woody, the Iceberg has moved quietly into position, reviewed the situation and is jettisoning the dead-wood...I too believe that he has the best interests of the club close to his heart and should be given fair do's to make the changes that are obvious to everyone.

I am not so sure Mr Bergs past managerial record is that bad - admittedly he apparently was sacked from his last job, but if the internet can be believed, he managed one club to 3 championships in a row in Norway. I accept that Norway are not the centre of the universe as football goes - but light years ahead of Malaysia, where apparently our wonderful global advisor played. On lots of forums I have asked, what is the role of a global advisor? No-one seems to know. I have my own definition of the one at Ewood but I cannot put it into print or I may end up in court!!!

So Hendry is now assistant reserve manager,he's going nowhere till Howard Walkers debt is repaid,we will see what team is put out for Saturday from the sick,the lame.and the Lazy,remember another performance like the Cardiff one won't be tolerated,said Shaggy.

However, I agree with others who say he is doing his best. 8 games is not long to judge a manager, especially with the squad he has inherited. road runner great optomism, but are we are the heart of the problem ?,, backroom staff ? is it an issue after the awfull major decision our owners have made time and time ,,Berg will have his hands ties - excuse the pun but our problems are hugh and Berg/backroom staff are only the 'Tip of the Ice'berg ....

I wish we had a coach with the caliber of Ray Harford,I was made redundant when he was here and spent some of my time watching him train the players down at pleasington,he really got them going while Kenny took a back seat,working on different formations and strategies a real motivator and taskmaster

Berg finished 3rd, 7th, 9th, 11th and 10th and he's making a bloody pigs ear out of it at Rovers so far.

So, a couple of days ago The Global Adviser advises the fans that he is taking "decisive decisions", and today Berg tells us that the Global Adviser isn't taking the decisions because Berg is taking the decisions and at the moment he is not taking any decisions, he is just "assessing" things. You could't make this stuff up! It's like Carry on Scoring with Sid James as Shabby, Kenneth Williams as Henning Berg and Barbara Windsor as Ma Desai. (Playing to empty houses at a football ground near you.)

Shebby has stirred it up again making Henning's job difficult and he made Keans untenable too. I think Shebby is trying to protect his own position by firing broadsides at whoever is the manager and that is not the way to help a young manager who hasn't had a minute to sort his squad or backroom staff out. I am a realist and if that job was given to a Rovers supporter who criticised the players every week that person would still be unable to select a winning side as the players available are unfortunately just not good enough.

Maybe I can get a little sentimental here KOTGKO - our hearts are not the problem here, but the problem lays within our hearts. The backroom staff over these last years simply haven't been up to the task, and adding the conjecture that as become synonymous with BRFC regards the odious one's wretched management the time as arrived which is now becoming tangible that big changes are absolutely imperative if BRFC are to function as a professional football club. With that in mind Venky can be seen to be making (huge) strides with backing Berg thus we can hope that the debacle created by the odious one with the naive backing of Venky will be exposed for what it was - NUTS !

I can safely say, and though I do not profess to be an authority on football, the past two years what I have witnessed for the majority as left me with a heavy sinking of the heart such was the dysfunctional nature of the beast.

Dismantling takes a mere blink of the eye - rebuilding is costly and fraught with hidden dangers that could take years in rebuilding.

Berg is a footballing man - period. The odious one clung onto the shirt tales such as Berg and adding his flimflam to the equation most certainly fooled the Venky. Now they must rectify this situation for their will be far reaching ramifications down the line for Venky make no mistake, and I truly believe they didn't and don't wish for that to happen ?

Berg is being as cool as an iceberg with all of this situation whilst, in my opinion at least - slowly, but surely helping, if not fully solving this, with pragmatic actions resulting in BRFC looking once again a team to be revered at the level it arrives at ?

Venky be advised we want our football club and team back on a footing that befits hence let the manager manage football matters.

I reckon Berg is playing a long game, eventually Shabby will hang himself given enough rope. Venkys' only chance of salvaging something lies with Berg and Rovers on the field, not with motor-mouth trying to up the anti as a pundit in some obscure section of the global football world.
Surely moving Hendry to the bed-next-to-the-door is good news. Careful, careful, catch a monkey as my grannie used to say.
Just some tightening in mid defence - I'm sure Berg himself could do better paired with Givet than Dann and Hanley whose combined mobility is less than the old Atlantean double decker in the turning circle up Shadsworth. Tightening in midfield - anyone who has a forward gear and some wind in his lungs, and getting in some crosses for Rhodes and the ship can be steadied with a couple of bargain buys in January.

Ask one our our directors (Robert Coar) why Hendry who is not good enough for first team coaching duties, but is a good enough coach to our up and coming youngsters , real reason is ,When Hendry went bankrupt after the old age pensioners he swindled out of their life savings, the next personal guy he went bankrupt owing money to was Howard Walker ,so Hendry went bankrupt owing 150k to Young Walker and the arrangement is Hnedry gets a job coaching at Rovers ,all his wages go to pay back the multi millionaire Howard Walker , Hendry gets his credibility back ,Walker gets his 150 k back , Hendry`s other creditors can whistle dixie because there not important , and Walker will be paid back , Hendry will be a coach again with credibilty, only thing thy never actually figured on is that Colin Hendry has not got a clue about motivation .coaching /man to man management , but HE IS AMBITIOUS AND HAS NO TALENT WHENIT COMES TO COACHING /MANAGING/

Maybe I can get a little sentimental here KOTGKO - our hearts are not the problem here, but the problem lays within our hearts. The backroom staff over these last years simply haven't been up to the task, and adding the conjecture that as become synonymous with BRFC regards the odious one's wretched management the time as arrived which is now becoming tangible that big changes are absolutely imperative if BRFC are to function as a professional football club. With that in mind Venky can be seen to be making (huge) strides with backing Berg thus we can hope that the debacle created by the odious one with the naive backing of Venky will be exposed for what it was - NUTS !

I can safely say, and though I do not profess to be an authority on football, the past two years what I have witnessed for the majority as left me with a heavy sinking of the heart such was the dysfunctional nature of the beast.

Dismantling takes a mere blink of the eye - rebuilding is costly and fraught with hidden dangers that could take years in rebuilding.

Berg is a footballing man - period. The odious one clung onto the shirt tales such as Berg and adding his flimflam to the equation most certainly fooled the Venky. Now they must rectify this situation for their will be far reaching ramifications down the line for Venky make no mistake, and I truly believe they didn't and don't wish for that to happen ?

Berg is being as cool as an iceberg with all of this situation whilst, in my opinion at least - slowly, but surely helping, if not fully solving this, with pragmatic actions resulting in BRFC looking once again a team to be revered at the level it arrives at ?

Venky be advised we want our football club and team back on a footing that befits hence let the manager manage football matters.

Don't generally disagree, Venky's have wrecked one of the best run clubs in the country, made it a laughing stock for the last 2 years and turned fan against fan.

That really is some achievement.

But perhaps they are trying to put things right? The comings and goings over the next few weeks will give some indication of this.

Venky's were never going to get an experienced manager to take over the shambles they created, as I said at the time, not many are that stupid, so it was always going to be someone like Berg who was trying to get a foot on the ladder.

And in all fairness we can't expect Berg to change things overnight, everything about the club is negative, it's going to take a lot to turn that around.

Just wondering when old clusterf*ck Singh will be taking a break from screwing up our football club and actually let Berg make the decisions. I'm sure he will be appearing at King Georges or the mechanics but any suggestions what panto he will be appearing in and what role????

Well, football being as Greavsie once said, a funny old game, Rovers will probably win 3-0 at Bloomfield road and confound us all.

Being a comparative newcomer to the area, I have not been to Bloomfield Rd for nigh on 20 years. My ticket is marked "senior", and being quite ancient, they are not wrong, but it also says restricted view. Are all the away seats like that at Balckpool or am I just unlucky?

Berg has confirmed he makes all the footballing decisions. Hope Bergs statement puts rumours/speculation of Shebbys interference at rest. Some will always suggest conspiracy theories, etc etc thats life.

"Restricted view" means you'll only see half of the field - if you've got the end Rovers are defending you'll get 45 minutes view of Murphy and Etuhu who never cross the halfway line - in the second half when you've got Rovers in view attacking, you'll never see Murphy and Etuhu for the same reason. When Rovers attack you'll get a good view of Rhodes, he's the only Rovers' player in the Tangerines' half.
It could be worse, you could be watching Rovers from Pune as our owners do.

Our owners at the time, the Walker trust wanted rid of Rovers and were certainly not investing anything.

Jack Walker must still be turning in his grave.

We had a manager (Lardarse) who didn't actually want to manage us, remember he was touting himself all around the planet, including Barca, Arab states, etc; etc, and had to be begged to stay on by Williams.

Not everything in the garden was as rosy as some would like to paint.

good coaches? Do me a favour - those good coaches were part of the regime that has been sending Rovers sides out to play for over two years clearly 'unfit' and 'unprepared' for 90 mins competitive football as thousands of us have witnessed in that time. Why do you think we got relegated? Bad management all round including the coaching staff. Get rid soon as and get some decent folks in who can do the job they get paid for...

Spot on Owd Nick - the level/profile of manager was always going to be dictated by the standards that Venky have set these past two years.

I truly hope that Berg can be that man to turn the corner with Rovers ? If that fails then the standard slips further. If nothing else this will be something to tell the grand kids about !!

Not ridiculous and neither would the suggestion of Shebby Singh although he's probably having a say already. You Burnley fans say our club is a joke. You are partly right, you just fail to identify the cause properly and enjoy blanketing the fans, decent players and employees with the same label as though any of it is our responsibility. There is negligence, ignorance and deceit in the ownership of the club, possibly corruption and its been aided bdishonourable agents eg Anderson and meglamaniacs like Steve Kean and Shebby Singh and money grabbers like Hendry, Agnew and Shaw. Ours won't be the last club to suffer this scenario. English football is at risk of ruin from these sorts of buyers. I don't see a turnaround or positive outcome. It will have to collapse in order to rid Rovers of this group of conmen.
