Why get rid of Robinson? The guys shown his loyalty and is still a quality keeper, definitely one of the best in the championship. And Hanley hardly deserves to go he's a young lad that shows a lot of promise, probably doesn't deserve to start every game but he's far from useless.

It took Venkys no time at all to destroy all that.
I agree with your three points, but can't see them ever apologizing for what they've done, even though it would be the most sensible course of action.

If we lose on Saturday we ought to cut our losses now before giving him any money to spend in January and bring in Mark Hughes as soon as as posssible.

After all Hughes ticks the only box that appears to count to this Board - he was an ex-player.

I agree, Hanley is only 21 but I think Robinson has been prone to too many mistakes like the rest of the back four, too me they could manage with a steady head at the back and a leader in midfield. Robbo would probably play better with a better spine in front of him. On the other hand, I would like to see the return of Brad to steady the ship and maybe take on the golakeeper coach role.

Mark Hughes has just spent nigh on 30 million and not won a game.The new management there were astonished at the disunity of the the players,some having to train on their own.Your opinion I know but I cant begin to see the logic.

Some good points rover60 - but forget getting Williams and Finn back. They left and went on to much better things. To be fair their departure was not an unusual event as it is par for the course when a new owner takes over a company. They like their own people in place naturally but good owners would usually bed things in first before they get shut of any key staff.
I can only think that Venkys did not understand what they were letting go when JW and TF went. A lot of bad stuff has happened for sure but we need to look forwards not backwards. Keep looking back and we will never make any progress. Number 1 hope is that Venkys sell the club soon but that is very unllikely - so Number 2 hope is that they can get to grips with the job of running BRFC in a proper manner now and on what we have seen so far then that is probably unlikely - so Number 3 hope is that I win the Euro Millions this week and can afford to buy the club. Within a week it would be Free season tickets for all Rovers fans, Free shirts and pies for all and Rooney, Ronaldo and Messi up front and that's just for starters...

I largely agree with your reasoned post with one exception:---- The selection process arriving at Berg was driven by two primary factors:
1. £££ (as Burnley found out to their cost with the appointment of Laws. The cheapest is never the best).
2. The position is now something of a 'poisoned chalice.'
The likes of Solskjaer wouldn't touch it with a bargepole and nor would any self-respecting 'established' figure.
My guess is you'll have to rely on the appointment of a 'young thruster' with promise, who's currently below the radar, or a has-been/never-will-

be of McCarthy's/Hughes' stature.

Bottom line is that 'you get what you pay for.' Singh's short arms and long pockets will be the final arbiter.

Number 1 hope is that Venkys sell the club soon but that is very unllikely - so Number 2 hope is that they can get to grips with the job of running BRFC in a proper manner now and on what we have seen so far then that is probably unlikely - so Number 3 hope is that I win the Euro Millions this week and can afford to buy the club. Within a week it would be Free season tickets for all Rovers fans, Free shirts and pies for all and Rooney, Ronaldo and Messi up front and that's just for starters...

Hi FR What would we do if we could not dream but sadly for most of our lives we live in the real world and only escape when we find our little bubble.
At least it would appear that after two years some reality may, and I say may, be afforded to we the fans. Mistakes have been made in bundles but it is not too late. We have all been saying for some time lets get rid of the old brigade put together by the genius Kean and get some decent backroom staff in especially a defensive coach and a fitness specialist. Give Berg the help he wants sell the players we do not need, and we all know who they are and buy a little bit of quality. I don't think if we use the loan system ,with agreed buy out clauses,that it needs to cost us mega money. Start with Palacios and see if Berg can use his contacts in Europe. Sell anyone if a decent price is offered and go on from there.Time dor a glass of that red stuff me thinks.

Singh has been sent by Mrs Desai to take every possible penny out of the club and then switch the lights out..Venkys agenda was to make cash, they saw a potential to assett strip and its very clear what they are doing. Eric Black, Brunnskill and Mimms are all on good wages ,, so its Venkys policy that they have to go if we dont get promotion. simple

If we lose on Saturday we ought to cut our losses now before giving him any money to spend in January and bring in Mark Hughes as soon as as posssible.

After all Hughes ticks the only box that appears to count to this Board - he was an ex-player.

I largely agree with your reasoned post with one exception:---- The selection process arriving at Berg was driven by two primary factors:
1. £££ (as Burnley found out to their cost with the appointment of Laws. The cheapest is never the best).
2. The position is now something of a 'poisoned chalice.'
The likes of Solskjaer wouldn't touch it with a bargepole and nor would any self-respecting 'established' figure.
My guess is you'll have to rely on the appointment of a 'young thruster' with promise, who's currently below the radar, or a has-been/never-will-


be of McCarthy's/Hughes' stature.

Bottom line is that 'you get what you pay for.' Singh's short arms and long pockets will be the final arbiter.

As everyone knows Berg was the 'Cheap Option' but I doubt whether the Board will ever admit to that.

With regard to Blackburn Rovers being a 'poisoned chalice', I am sure that the chance of managing any club in the Championship which is in receipt of parachute payments worth millions of pounds would always appeal to the likes of Mccarthy etc.
