Blackburn Rovers wait on quintet
1:55pm Monday 5th November 2012 in News
BLACKBURN Rovers have a number of injury doubts ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Huddersfield Town.
Nuno Gomes, Jason Lowe, David Dunn, Gael Givet and Fabio Nunes will all be assessed before the Championship fixture as new boss Henning Berg looks for his first win.
Berg said: ”We know we have to be better than we were on Saturday.
“We can be better offensively and defensively.
“We know we are capable of better than that and hopefully we will show an improvement tomorrow.”

From his answers I would then look at who we have who could possibly provide any of those things within the current squad and do my rebuilding from there.
The way forward is to get the very best out of Jordan Rhodes, the only player with genuine talent. It's no good asking him to change his game because of the shortcomings of others.....let's play to his strengths.......he is our only chance of success......it might take some time but .....come in Henning ask the question........plea

Had I been Henning Berg, I would have spent Sunday morning in conversation with only one man ......and my opening questions would have been, " Now Jordan, will you tell me the type of player you need along side you, the type of pass you need to be played to you, do you like crosses from wingers, do you like the ball to feet down the channels?"

I would seriously rather play any one of our very few defenders next to Rhodes than Kazim at the moment...

I cannot believe Huddersfield haven't put a clause in the sale of Rhodes to the effect that he cannot play against them in both games this season. As it always happens to ex-players, they return to hurt the club they left.

Great potential but needs to learn when to release the ball......bl00dy frustrating when you can see a simple ball is on and he chooses to either try and beat a player he's already beat, take on 3 defenders or make a pass but the wrong one!

That's the least of our problems though. The fitness of the squad is way way short of the mark. Berg needs to get them in twice a day and make them into super fit machines. Those who can't be bothered or are simply past it, then it should be good night vienna. It's all Keans fault of course. That drunkard turd may be long gone but until Berg gets this bunch super fit and organised, the chaos captain **** created will continue to haunt us for a while longer I'm afraid.
Lookin forward to a positive following tomorrow at Hudd, I seem to remember Østenstad scoring a last minute winner there last time I went, so more of the same please and hopefully Rhodes will be ready to remind his former employers why they sold him for £8 mill!!

It was obvious why Rovers lost on saturday, they simply gave too much respect to crystal palace, who had too much time on the ball, they were never rushed them into making mistakes. Rovers have to play at a higher intensity. they need to make it harder by pressing them all over the pitch, the entire match, rovers cant allow them to play their own game just as they did with Middlesbrough.
Mark Hughes did exactly that. We need another Robbie savage.

Lets hope he doesn't keep reapeating the same thing over and over again for any longer than he already has "We have to do better, we know we can do better"
