Well Andy Cryer believed it.He must be so embarrassed to be so wide of the mark. I think it demonstrates he/LET has no contacts worth relying on at all.
I know Alan Nixon (the Mirror) scoughed at the rumours and he seems to know who is NOT going to get it but no-one seems to know who IS getting the job.

I'm more interested in promotion.Alex Mcleish is most likely to achieve this, as he done so with Birmingham. He will get the best out of Dann, and make us solid at the back. Of couse OGS would've been my first choice and Gary Neville my second, and it wouldve been nice to have Harry. But Alex M is more likely to get us promoted.

I'm more interested in promotion.Alex Mcleish is most likely to achieve this, as he done so with Birmingham. He will get the best out of Dann, and make us solid at the back. Of couse OGS would've been my first choice and Gary Neville my second, and it wouldve been nice to have Harry. But Alex M is more likely to get us promoted.

I think you'll find Mick McCarthy has a better track record of getting teams promoted....but then again he isn't a buddy of Shebby's chum Hendry now is he?

I'm with you and Irish Rover on this. Too many supposed supporters jump on here and scream "Boycott" when a name is mentioned that they don't fancy. Henning doesn't come across as a yes man but a knowledgeable guy, ex player, proven winner and somebody who has gained managerial experience at the lower end and deserves his chance to work his way up. We cannot moan at every mentioned name and vent our displeasure at persons we dont fancy. Everybody has opinions and are entitled to them in the same way that everybody deserves a chance. I'd personally take Berg above Harry splash the cash redknapp, Dour McLeish n Ian nutcase Holloway. And that my friend would be better than having Berg as manager.....I think Black has been good since he came in. Clean sheets harder to beat and two wins on the trot....why change it to manager that has a very very poor record.

Our new manager needs to be in place and soon, Ive said before Venkys are a business and dont care like we do, they will go for the cheapest option which will probably be Eric Black or someone without much managerial experience, either way we have to get behind them and give them a chance. No booing, No boycotting, come on you BLUES!!!!

You're either part of the Ewood PR machine or you just don't get it. Everyone who knows anything about football and business knows that the employment of the new manager is crucial to the future of the football club - dwindling crowds (even after Kean has gone) tells us that. Employ someone unpopular and the supporters simply will not return. As things stand now, it will take a high profiled and respected manager to get the fans back that are staying away...a poor decision could spell doom and gloom for the club. Nobody really knows the finances of the club...but as things stand (with supporters staying away and wages being high) then the model will certainly be unsustainable once the parachute payments run out - if not before. The freeloaders involved are fully aware of this and are out to make hay while the sun is shining. They couldn't give two hoots about the long term future of the football club. For me Singh needs to go - as does Hendry (they clearly have their own agendas which involve feathering their own nests) - and the board members need to get a grip on the situation URGENTLY!!

Unfortunately 77'sss it doesn't matter who gets the job the (fans) that are still not going will use Berg as an excuse to continue not going. The same (fans) that apparently were coming back once Kean had gone and would definitely come back if Redknapp had got the job. Smellthecoffee is a perfect example of this type of fan and to be honest I would rather these type of fans stay away and also clear off this site and whinge somewhere else. Whoever the manager is and it looks like it is going to be Berg we should get behind him and give him 100% support.

So its either Shearer,McCarthy or even Hughes for you,others its Holloway,Grayson etc. So really as I said,there is no census of opinion with the fans who should be the next manager. Yes, the fans want a top drawer Premier League appointment, or they will scream and stamp their feet like babies. Remember Paul Ince? We were in the Prem then. We weren't beating off top drawer appointments to go for Ince though. Blackburn Rovers simply doesn't attract top level managers, we haven't done for a long time. Get in the real world. This isn't the Jack Walker era, that's passed. It was a once in a lifetime event for most football fans - rarer in fact. Stop moaning therefore if it just isn't like that anymore. It's just being called a fan of a normal football club.
