Dunn a doubt for Rovers

DAVID Dunn is expected to miss Blackburn's game with Watford on Saturday.

He came off with a calf injury during last night's 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday and caretaker boss Eric Black says Rovers are awaiting results of a scan.

But he said that Dunn is a major doubt.

I think we are going to see Dunny a lot less this season. More's the pity. We need his like.

Dunny - too injury prone. I wasn't at the game but the shot I saw on telly as he made the goal suggests he is well overweight? Is it all those Darwen pies?

Lets be honest. How many of the team that played last night would have been in a Rovers side three years ago? Such is the devastation wreaked on us by the Venkys.

Seems like Dunn should adopt Gillespie s old nickname "Sick Note" play a game or two have several off. He possibly earns more not playing than the Dingle work shy get in benefits during a season.

Bring on Harry!!! QUICKLY.

Redknapp quoted on ESPN as saying "NO CHANCE" he would take Rovers job. Looks like that short lived fairy tale is over.

from ESPN, its the job nobody wants... A number of names have been mentioned as candidates for the post, including Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand from Tottenham, and also former player and manager Glenn Hoddle. However, both Hoddle and Sherwood turned down the opportunity, with Spurs refusing Blackburn permission to speak with Sherwood, and their coach opting not to walk out to return to Ewood Park. This week, Blackburn have also been linked with another former Spurs manager Redknapp, but he told ESPN there is "no chance" of him being persuaded by the club's global advisor Shebby Singh to take up the post.

Dunn showed more passion and commitment in 30 minutes last night, than the rest of midfield have shown all season. True, he's past his sell by date, but the other players take note, run at a defence and they don't like it and panic

Can't believe Harry would move North, but the smell of pound notes will always interest him. Rovers would definitely get promoted with Harry. Still can't see it though.

Not a fan of MacCarthy or Mcleish, Can't fault Holloway for enthusiasm, but he took over a good team at Blackpool built by Grayson. I would still prefer Grayson. Would rather have the architect than the plasterer!

It's getting beyond a total joke now.
They must of managers in mind way before keane was sacked given that he had a points ultimatum handed to him at the start of the season.
Why are we p.ssing about listening to supporters clubs and Everyman and his dog about who the right man should be.
Whoever comes in will have a battle on their hands just trying to get the reins back from Ego clueless Singh. Whoever comes in will not be everyone's VIP of tea. Taking so long and being so indecisive makes the job even harder.
They are throwing these names out there to see what people's reactions are.
No other business operates like this....we need to pick the most suitable person, get them in and back them.
All we dont want is a coach or boring boring McLeish.

Nobody can question Dunnies passion and commitment for Rovers, anyone who was at Dingley Dell last time we played them at this level could see the pride and passion of the local boys, Dunn for us and Andy Payton for them. Unfortunately Dunny didn't listen to Souness about changing his lifestyle and is now reaping the rewards. What is evident is that lack of pride and passion in the squad at the moment. Given the fiasco around the manager recruitment is it any wonder that those who haven't supported Rovers as man and boy wonder what the hell they have come to. Until we finally appoint a manager it isn't going to improve. Look at The Mail today running the Harry wants to come to Rovers story. Worth a read until you get to the bit where Singh has talked Rednapp into dropping to the championship and moving from Sandbanks to the NW. Talk of what a coup it would be for Singh to win over the supporters. I would love to see Rednapp at Ewood and his brand of football but the only thing that would possibly secure this would is a massive wedge of cash, money well spent, and certainly nothing to do with being persuaded by Singh. All this press speculation is unsettling the team, appoint a manager now and let the press disrupt someone else and please don't give us the we need time bit, you've had long enough

It would be a dream to get Harry at Ewood but unfortunately as time goes by I cant help feeling that they have got the man they want right now especially after the win last night, Venkys werent at the game and so didnt see how bad we were after Dunny limped off, they only know that we won and moved back into the top 5. Eric is cheap compared to the likes of a top named manager.
We need to partner Gomez up front with Rhodes and start attacking more.
If we dont we are going to get thrashed when we go to Dingleland.
