There is still time to enter Great Cheverell’s soapbox derby.
The wacky event makes a return to the village on Sunday after a break last year.
Teams of two or three people race on home made carts while trying to avoid being sprayed with water by the crowds. The teams stop twice along the route to consume a pint of beer, or squash for children. Categories are under 12s, 12-17, family and over 18s.
Bands will play live at The Bell pub where there will also be a beer festival and barbecue. The derby organisers would like 40 teams.
Money raised will go to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Dor-othy House Hospice.
Entry forms are available from The Bell pub and the shop in Great Cheverell. Entry is £5 per cart.
