A retired Braintree man has turned his hand to writing with the heart-warming tale of his upbringing.
Barry Wadforth, 63, has lived in Braintree since coming to the town in 1964, aged 16.
Before then, he lived in an East London children’s home, which is the topic of his book, entitled Brian Hudson’s Got a Goat.
The book seeks to disprove the doom and gloom traditionally associated with such homes, and emphasises a lot of the positives and happiness that is often overlooked.
