FULL-TIME: Fulham 1 Blackburn Rovers 1

KEEPING A WATCHFUL EYE Radosav Petrovic stays close to Fulham striker Clint Dempsey KEEPING A WATCHFUL EYE Radosav Petrovic stays close to Fulham striker Clint Dempsey

BLACKBURN Rovers picked up their first Premier League point of the season at Fulham - but were left counting the cost of several injuries to key players.

The game struggled to burst into life at Craven Cottage, but there was an early penalty shout from Bobby Zamora when he picked up Scott Dann's loose ball and looked to have been bundled over in the box.

Rovers took the lead on 32 minutes when Ruben Rochina found time and space to launch a thumping shot in off the underside of the crossbar.

However, Blackburn's advantage lasted just six minutes. Gael Givet was found guilty of poor defending as Zamora took control of the ball before firing past Paul Robinson into the far corner.

Rovers were left counting the cost of injuries in the second-half, with Chris Samba failing to come out after the interval and David Dunn being substituted.

As the second half wore on, Fulham became the likelier to score, and Paul Robinson was in fine form to make great stops from Danny Murphy and, later on, Clint Dempsey.

A bad injury to Junior Hoilett late on meant there was 10 minutes of stoppage time.

Givet is having another nightmare at LB. He was at fault for the goal and Duff has skinned him 3 or 4 times and pulled the ball back for Fulham players running on.
.
If we don't plug this gap straight away we could well end up losing the game through it.
.
I would with do a straight swap, Olson for Givet (he can't do much worse) or take Hiolett off and put Olson on so they can double up on Duff.

An away point @ fulham. Not many teams are going to get that this season. Really really impressed with jason lowe. Goodwillie obviously struggles as a lone striker but the defence held strong. Givet was a rock in the second half. Attack needs some direction which hopefully Yakubu or "hold the ball up" Roberts can do.

Why bring on Lowe for Rochina when Goodwillie was struggling with his hamstring?
.
Is Goodwillie able to look up before he shoots/passes?

Great defending by the team in the second half. Lionheart stuff. At least Kean has the team behind him, just a shame some of the forward players couldn't hold the ball up in the second half.

Good point in the end - Fulham are very strong at home.
.
Any Rovers fan that dosent yet realise that this is going to be a long hard season - then these 4 games have been a huge wake up call.
.
Away from home we are very very poor at the fulback positions - something that SK has failed to address in the recent transfer window.
.
Dann had a great game seeing as he hadnt played for 8 months - looks like he will be a great signing.
.
Also, dosent sound like Hoilett is too badly injured.
.
Bottom but at least we've got a point on the board.

Salgado - should be retired
Dunn - never fit
Hoillet - too one footed to play on left wing.
Givet - attitude problem, crap at left back.

Bad sub for the last, should have put a striker on

If you don't understand that a point is a decent result at Craven Cottage then just ask fans of Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea - all of whom have lost there in the last 2 seasons.

Wowful performance, and Kean says we were excellent? He has got to be on something. A better delivery from Fulham and we would have been soundly beaten. Kean has to go, we were torn to shreds down the channels, the midfield was none existent in the second half and this clown says "if the fans stick with us they will see more performances like that". That's the problem you idiot!! Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea. That does not make for good reading

We needed to win simple as that, although looking at the way we are playing we if we carry on like this we are in for it this season. There is no leadership on the pitch and is it my imagination or is it since keen has been in charge we seem to be picking up more and more injuries?

Great performance from Rochina. Superb goal, always felt this lad could be a real Premiership star. BAFFLING, that he was taken off for Lowe. No idea what the thinking was there, especially with the likes of Vuckcivic on the bench.

Still utterly baffled how Kean felt "we were excellent today". Either he's severely deluded or he's insulting our intelligence. We looked like a lower league side in that second half. As always, our second halves under him are an utter waste of time. We always seem to get worse.

2 wins in 20. That's a disgraceful track record for a top league manager. Any other outfit in this league would have replaced him by now. This record is far worse then under Ince.

Kean out now, before it's too late and/or our position becomes too perilous and off putting for a new/REAL manager to come in.

btw relieved that Hoilett looks like being okay. That little lad has got balls. To jump in for a 50/50 header on a huge keeper like that takes real guts. Commitment from defence & NZongi was excellent in second half. Petrovic may be ok in long term but not ready. Hoillet great going forward but defence wise he is so naive it is unbelievable. NOt strong enough in midfield and as for 1 up front scrapos are the best you can hope for. Despite being battered in second half we ahd two best chances Formica in 1st minute and Hoillet at the the death.
Realistically we are going to struggle for points in this league but get behind the team as whatever you think about SK only Venkys will have the say.

Dann & Givet (second half) were excellent and if they had played against Wolves and we had had a penalty taker against Everton we could have been looking at 7 points now - but we didnt and we are where we are

Despite being battered in second half we ahd two best chances Formica in 1st minute and Hoillet at the the death.
Realistically we are going to struggle for points in this league but get behind the team as whatever you think about SK only Venkys will have the say.

Dann & Givet (second half) were excellent and if they had played against Wolves and we had had a penalty taker against Everton we could have been looking at 7 points now - but we didnt and we are where we are
Some good points there - yes we are bottom but it could have been more points from the 1st 4 games (fine lines).
.
It will be a tough long season but there are alot worse sides than us out there (the 3 that came up, S'land and Wigan to name but 5).
.
Obviously SK as manager is a HUGE problem for us but he won't be with us forever and then hopefully we can push onwards and upwards.
.
We all know we do have some good players and we will (hopefully) soon have a manager to harness this young tallent - look on the brightside - we could be Dingles, by this time next week they'll be in the relegation zone of the Championship and with only 13 fit outfield players and no money there is only 1 way they are going and it is definately DOWN !!

Bottom but at least we've got a point on the board.
Hey JC - Chris Sutton & Doc Alan.

Overall a good battling point. First half seen all the glam & gusto spoiled by the irrepresible Givet turned inside out by Zamora.

Certainly would have had Olsson in there. Samba injury allowed Givet to recompense for the goal with a great defensive display in the centre along with all the team 2nd half.

Splendid goal by Rochina.

I would translate as Rovers soaking up the pressure 2nd half with some cute counter attacking which had Fulham keeper not taken out Hoillet then we would have nicked the game.

How the hell he doesn't go for that foul is dismaying ?

Hope Hoillet is ok because we had at least 10 min before restart. Webb is a total knob !

Something to build on now thus here is hoping fella's ?

Agreed the full back slots are in desperate need of some quality asap but, happy with the display if not over joyed ! :)

Arte et labore

PS Good turnout from BRFC fans & in good voice.

A point gained - but what a poor overall performance. Givet and Salgado and both Dunny and NZonzi in midfield were all very poor.

I like Dunny - but he just isn't fit and I also rate Nzonzi usually, but he never got back goalside to make a atckle once, and his distribution was very poor. Formica never really got going either.....he didnt seem fit either? So we suffered lots of self-induced pressure all the match.

Rochinas goal was simply brilliant and his overall performance was good but he needs someone strong besides him to let him play more. Hoilett did well (glad he is ok) maybe the bump on the head will mean he will sign now?

Dann did very well seeeing that he aint played for ages and Samba was immense as usual as was Robbo.

Goodwillie did fine as lone striker and was much more effective than JR ever is! But he seemed to be carrying a thigh injury...and he needs support either from Formica playing further forwards or from Yakuba? But maybe thats for the home matches.

Dissappointing overall really especially the second half, but that was only the second game in a year that Fulham have not won at home - so in that context it is a good point.

Need to build on that quickly now.

Enough is enough. Under Hughes we were probably the fittest squad in the PL. Under Kean the players are just not fit enough, they looked dead on their feet in last 20 mins. This is resulting in lots of injuries. I read somewhere that if you took Rovers results from the first half we would be top 6 over the last 20 games. This begs the question what happens in the 2nd half? Well i dont think kean is tactically inept, he does not inspire the team and like I have said they are not fit. Salgado is past it, Givet is a good centre half but not a left back, Dunn I hate to say is past it, Goodwille will end up like Kalanic if he doesnt get the support. I have been one of Keans biggest critics but its obvious he is a good coach and can spot a talent but you are never a manager. Time to be man enough and resign because you are taking my beloved Rovers down. Nothing wrong with admitting you tried your hand at management and it hasnt worked out. Pls resign or you will be sacked after the Arsenal game.

I often read the articles and comments on here but this is the first time I have commented. A point away to fulham isn't a bad result but the second half was shocking and it is mainly to do with kean's tactics. We were hanging onto the draw all second half - why does he then say "if the fans stay with us, we'll see many away performances like that" never a more true statement but for all the wrong reasons. It's performances like that that are driving fans away. I was willing to give him a few games after the window shut but I can't stand his post match comments - he says the same thing every time and never tells it like it is. In the second half he had no ideas how to change rhythm of the game (which was constant fulham pressure) - surely bringing yakubu on for goodwillie would have given us a target man to try and hold the ball up to bring other players into the game. One plus point was the performance of dann who will only get better with games.

Main problem today was poor decisions by the management. Hoilett would have been far more useful down the right and Formica down the left. Fulham do not allow you enough time or space (narrow pitch at Fulham) to play opposite footers who need to check onto their stronger foot for quality.

We have a few injuries, for sure, but Kean should not try to fool us as this being the reason for poor performances. He suggested more of the same in terms of performance would be welcome in future games to Sky post match. Well, failing to take chances in the first half, an inability to defend and a lack of tactical nouse is certainly not welcome.

Petrovic, dubbed as bringing a new dimension to our squad and being a quality signing, seems to have never played football before. Terrible passing and no conviction in challenges.

In the second half, we struggled to hold the ball up top the few occasions we got it up there in the second half meaning the ball is coming through our poor midfield straight back at the under the cosh back four who don't have the time to set to defend or push up the field to get tight to their men. So, when Rochina is struggling, we should really have put the extra man up top, Roberts or Yakubu, to try and support Goodwillie, retain possession and protect the back four better.

Givet is an excellent centre back, poor left back. Olsson is probably too attacking to be a left back, so maybe the way forward is a back 3 of Dann, Samba and Givet, utilising the energy and pace of Hoilett and Olsson as wing back type players allowing the creativity of Formica, Rochina, Goodwillie and, if fit Dunn to lead the line. When necessary, Yakubu and Roberts can provide physical presence.

Not saying Kean has to go but the time to improve and pull together as a club is NOW!

I can't have been watching the same game. We played ok in the first half but yes got battered in the second half. But this was to be expected given the fact that Fulham were at home and needed the points as much as we did. A point at Fulham is always a good point. Can´t believe the negativity on this site. Its clear Kean has until the end of the month at least so stop saying 'Kean out' please. We played some good attacking football but looked a bit loose at the back at times. I thought Dann did well and we looked ok with Samba but lost without him. Its clear the players have belief and they support the manager. The performance shows Kean has the players on his side. Its about time the majority of the posters on this site stopped griping and got behind the team. We will get better and get the results.

I take it none of you think a point against Fulham away is good enough? Its more than Man U chelsea and others got last year and this time they had a stronger side with the addition of Risse. So If a point wasn't good enough for you then what was, how deluded are most of you to think we should beat someone on their own patch. You can't ask more than what we got, a hard earnt point from a hard faught game.
How many of you thought we were screwed when we lost Samba? I know I did. So credit where credit is due, that was an amazing defensive display away from home against a good premiership team with your first choice centre back going off at half time.
It wasn't pretty but I'll take it. Arsenal next. Now this is a game we have to win. If you win all your home games and draw all your away games, things will be okay. But I expect to win all our home games, nothing less will do, and that includes Man U City and Chelski.

My loyalty to Blackburn Rovers goes back to 1955, indeed my recent DNA profile shows that there is a genetic connection to my beloved Rovers. However, it pains me to say this but Rovers are truly dreadful, and deserve to be at the bottom of the Premiership. We are simply light years behind Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea etc, and are only marginally better than Accrington Stanley. The team is led by a manager who is simply out of his depth, and should seriously think of resigning because in all honesty Rovers under SK are heading for the Championship. Venky’s should step in now before it is too late and recruit a new manager with EPL experience or a proven track record of success in football at a high level. SK is another Brian Kidd and Paul Ince who tried and failed. For the sake of the good name of Blackburn Rovers do the honorable thing SK, fall on your sword.

How many of you actually went on the game today? No thought not...

It is completely different to watching it on TV.

In the first half Rovers were excellent. Playing nice quick, short passing, on the ground, stuff. Fulham got a lucky goal.

The second half was not as good. For the simple reason, David Dunn went off. He had controlled everything up until that point.

All in all, a well fought point.

The problem was the result against Everton, not todays game. Give the players a break. Givet was poor first half but superb second half, etc etc.

Everyone said Kean had a few more games, so from what I could see, watching from inside Craven Cottage was, that was a decent point to get started.

Although an away point is always good I can take no comfort from that performance.

Given our league position we needed three points but we never looked like being able to contol the game and capitalise on a good opening goal (yet again).

When Dunny and Samba went off we were headless chickens and only the fact that Fulham are also very poor saved us from a battering.

Goodwillie and Petrovic are not yet ready for the Premiership and I acknowledge the wisdom that Kean has shown in keeping Rochina and Formica back until they can compete at this level for they have become useful players who carry a threat.

I have never seen such an inept display as that from Petrovic but accept that he may become a useful player in due course.

One can only presume that Yakubu and Vukcevic are not yet Premiership match fit as the second-half called out for players who could hold the ball up and take us away from our own penalty area.

In my opinion this match did nothing to increase the chances of Steve Kean keeping his job. What are the chances of a manager coming in who keeps him on as a coach? Just a thought.

Bottom but at least we've got a point on the board.
Hi JC - it is really refreshing to see a non-negative post from you and you are spot-on. This season will be nothing more than a struggle against relegation but we are going to have to improve on that display if we are to have a chance.

I only hope that the new signings have more to offer and that Yakubu and Vukcevic can bring the necessary ability to hold the ball up when we break from defence. I know that Vukcevic is capable of this and hope that Yakubu can rediscover his sparkling form with Everton.

We now need a remarkable performance against Arsenal for Kean to build on that shred of credibility which he still retains.

Spot on.

I seen it with my eye's & all those who think they know, DONT or they wouldn't be writing the chuff they are !

Fcuk the telly it is blinkered !

You want rid of Kean ?

Then I fcuking challenge everyfcuking one of you to be stood outside Ewood saturday next with you Kean out banners or whatever ?

Get it done & let me see if you have bigger balls than Kean ?

i don't care a chuff that you don't go on the match away from home but, I'm sick & tired of listening to the fcuking bleating on the premise that you care for your beloved club & YOU wish for better !

This is BLACKBURN ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB that is giving more than it has for over a 100 years these last 20.

6000 is an hardcore of BRFC for as long as I can remember & I don't see any change.

Change comes through application, believe & loyalty not fcking bleating.

If & when BRFC fail I hope all those(apart from a few who speak good sense with constructive criticism & they know who they are) are happy as Larry.

I watched a team today 80% brand new hold Fulham full of seasoned pro's & a seasoned manager, yet what do I read on here how chuffing bad we were !

I despair, I really do.

I can follow my club through every situation because I care for it & I will not kick it around because change is upon us.

1476(est) supporters sat on Craven Cottage today around 1% were peeved the rest are realistic to what is happening.

Unfuckingbelievable !

I'm done on these boards & the **** that pores out of so called supporters mouths.

Get your money out & buy the club & then I can slag you off for the arsehole you are making of it !

So long.

A good result today, and hopefully stopped the rot.

Got to take each game as it is, over the past few seasons we'd have gone to fulham hoping for a draw, today we went looking for a win.

The performance was nervy, but you could tell we were trying to get it down & play.

Think kean did ok with team selection, needed a bit of experience in the final third so went with Dunn, plus if we'd have got a penalty he needed Dunn on the pitch!

I agree with alot of fans that kean isn't the one to take us to the next level, but I don't think we're ready for the next level just yet. I think we're in a transition phase, and the squad is looking decent and has potential.

I think it wouldn't do us any favours if kean went now, after bringing in these new faces, and we'd be left with John Jensen in charge.

Think it's out of our hands but we're in for a rough ride, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Whatever your opinions, it would be nice to see less abuse directed at the manager, players and each other. Save it for the dingles.

Rovers til I die.

Bleedinghell, you got back quick, did you fly from Heathrow to Manchester?
*
Gonna disagree with you, first half wasn't to bad, but the 2nd half and the subs he made was awful.
*
Martin Jol has a new squad who are still getting used to his tactics, which is happen as well or we would have been well and truly stuffed.
*
Then Kean gives his post match view, well to keep it polite, I'll go along with Andy Townsends comments, that Kean needs to stop dressing things up, and realise the truth, then he might just get a little respect(but I doubt it, the blokes a to$$er).

The problem is that too many people are confusing the failings of an under performing manager with the failings of an entire club.Steve Kean is one man doing one job, and he is simply not good enough at that job to merit staying in post.Thousands of people are dismissed from their jobs every day and Rovers fans calling for Kean to be sacked are not being disloyal to the club.I mean christ he won`t be the first manager to be dismissed from or leave the club and he sure as hell won`t be the last.Lets try and keep things in perspective.BRFC will survive and prosper and will have many more managers, and I dare say a good few owners but it will still be BRFC and we will still support them and we will still come on here and dissagree with each other, and why?BECAUSE WE BLOODY CARE. Spot on mate!! Time surely now to protest at the televised Arsenal game next week. If Kean's telling Mama Chicken it's a minority of fans, then lets get off our a-ses & show that this ISN'T the case. Today was an abysmal performance against an awful Fulham side. This clown is taking us down. His record is a joke, & his post-match witterings beyond parody. Venkys- this is YOUR fault. You arrogantly appointed this clown, now do the right thing & get shot of him & give the new manager a promise that you'll let him manage, & keep your clueless beaks out & your gobs shut. Fuming after watching that drivel today.
I sense a bit of hostility beneath your adolescent spot squeezing post. COYB.
KDG, you expect to win all our home games, including Man U, City & Chelsea???
Drivel today, & no, a point wasn't good enough. Fulham were a shambles & a good team would have swept 'em away. Similarly, a good team would have been sat on 8-9 points from our opening four games against average teams.
You keep saying it's all OK luv, but the stats don't lie.

Rochina, N'zonzi, Formica, Dunn, Hoilett - all great with the ball at their feet. So why on earth do our defenders continually pump the ball blindly up and over their heads? Goodwillie doesn't stand a chance trying to latch onto that kind of garbage. OOOFF, fulham attack, OOOFF, fulham attack, OOOFF... It was wave after wave and we were incredibly lucky to escape with a point. This kind of playground football is the reason I don't watch the game up here (Scotland) anymore.
The owners need to act now. Keane is not up to this at all.

We are bottom today 1 pts 4 games and i'm not thinking we'll do anything against a poor Arsenal,so still bottom 1 pts 5 games and still bottom.
All will still be rosey in the Kean/Venky household.
Kean please fall on your sword now.

Spot on.

On the match gives a totally different perspective.

So long.

anybody remember VE day in 95 - Flowers' famous "BOTTLE??, i,ll give you BOTTLE!!!!!, that was bottle!!!!" (i put the exclamation in for effect).
.
we were absolutely battered by barcodes that night and yet despite the mullering, it was probably one of our most famous achievements in rovers' history. i was proud to shout myself senseless and the drive back to london seemed to pass in 10 minutes. i filled up with petrol at hilton park on m6 and jack straw was filling up on adjacent pump - and i remember saying to him "flipping heck (or words to that effect) - how flipping good was that?!
.
now if that was regarded as a magnificent rearguard action - then i think that rovers deserve a bit of credit for holding on against a fulham team desperate for a result too.
.
everybody talks about the pressure on kean (quite rightly) but what about brilliant manager jol - or even worse fat boy brucie, given all the money he has spent. how about we jimmy krankie who is meant to be some sort of moses leading the notlobs out of bolton into the promised land - surely not horwich!
.
before smelly comes on here and talks about PR machine - clearly on the basis of results kean is not the answer - however, the team seem to be playing for him and it was not his fault that we missed two penalties last week. rochina looks good...dann too, he has blooded hoilett, goodwillie looks like he knows where the goals are and we kept samba

this was one of the few games i'll get to this season, and whilst it wasn't pretty, it was a point against a pretty organised team who will beat a few at the cottage this season.
+
despite attacking much better in the first half, defensively we were poor even with fulham only offering a slight threat. the problem was at fullback on both sides. givet looked in all sorts of trouble, whilst salgado made me massively nervous. both were to blame, but you've also got to look at the fact that they had hoillet and rochina in front of them. not much cover, to say the least!
+
credit where it is due, though. givet was simply brilliant in the second half, when moved into the middle.
+
other points to note. we missed dunny when he went off. i am being drawn to the point of view that he may well make a good holding midfielder in his later years... possibly the new tugay?
+
hoillet and rochina on the flanks in a 4-4-1-1 is too exposed
+
formica works surprisingly hard without the ball
+
a couple of nervy moments aside, dann is positionally excellent.
+
we are getting there - slowly but surely we are becoming the team that i rather want to see. next time, get yakubu on and support him with the creative types - rochina, fomica and/or goodwillie. oh, and olssen at LB please. which maybe means givet as the preferred option at RB, assuming he's not in for samba in the middle.

no in-fighting please lads we need all the unity we can get at the moment. Woody, Hass and Ossyrover you are of course all entitled to your different opinions but mine is the only one that counts (only jesting) and I say that>

a) we have a team that has good potential to play some good football and get results. But right now potential is all it is. That is worrying.

b) we lost some key players through injury during the game like Samba, Dunny plus Goodwillie was playing with an injury and we had Danns in without a competitive game in months. Yet we still got a point at Fulham where it is very difficult to get anything. That is encouraging.

c) The performance against Everton was good but yielded zero points but align that with the Fulham game and the point we gained then maybe something is happening that is not blindingly obvious yet - that can compete? That could be encouraging.

d) Some big games coming up against decent teams over the next few weeks and must admit I am pretty worried right now that we could get some hammerings unless SK gets the tactics right and the players gell very quickly.
That is worrying.

e) The big one - SK. Kean is still not inpiring the fans as manager. Not sure what he is like on the training pitch but during the game he looks like a little lad lost and the tactics are not obvious, in fact we looked to be devoid of any tactics at all at times in the second half. Only valiant defending and heroics from individual players won the point.
That is worrying.

So the verdict is still undecided, our fate is very much in the hands of SK and his selections and tactics, so its going to be squeaky bum time for some weeks yet as we wait to see if Woodys swan ever emerges....pray to UJ that it does!

You really think the verdict is undecided? The one thing we can all agree on surely is that Kean is not getting results. Call it luck, call it lack of fan support, whatever you call it, bottom line is this is a results business and he's not doing his job.

I honestly don't believe Kean is inspiring the players let alone the fans. We consistently do worse in second halves. His half time tactics and team talks are (results wise) proven to be completely ineffective.

We have some very tough fixtures coming up and whilst I think some of our players are good, with this manager, I can't have any faith in us picking up points.

We could be cut adrift after those games, we have to get rid now.

Any other season I would consider a point at Fulham to be a very good result. However, given our predicament and that Fulham themselves looked a shadow of their previous selves we should have been taking three points there.

The second half collapse does make you wonder what Kean does at half time to players' confidence and determination, because yesterday, just like the Wolves game, was an embarrassment in the second half. Maybe its purely a lack of fitness that's to blame - still Kean's fault at the end of the day.

Get rid of this clown NOW.

Maybe its purely a lack of fitness that's to blame - still Kean's fault at the end of the day. Get rid of this clown NOW. jack01

being there, i felt that the two halves weren't that different. 1st half was better, clearly, but we weren't brilliant throughout. in the same way, we weren't rubbish thoguhout the 2nd half and had about 3 really decent chances.

you could point to a couple of key points for me were dunn going off, rochina going off and goodwillie and hoilett running out of steam. that's why we began to struggle.

I thought the idea of getting rid of Sam Allardyce was to get more exciting football and challenge for a top six place. Did no one tell Kean this was the plan. Both teams looked crap and when you see the likes of even Stoke strengthening their squad and WBA doing quite well under Hodgson it looks like its going to be a very drab season. Rovers could get a point over Arsenal who are utter sh*te now but even if they won I wouldnt think much of it.
Better check the Satnav for the route to Doncaster and Brighton

Was Samba injured or did he not want a full half of backs against the wall tactics, from super Kean. We certainly proved we can get players behind the ball. What a way to get a point, score a goal then hang on for dear life, and hope they only get one. Good job they were rubbish, they are not yet the Fulham of previous, that is why we got the point. Our fitness equptment must be broken,as our attackers didn't look like they could get forward second half. I think many of our injuries are escapism, hard to blame them, most of them are doing a job, they didn't sign up to do,make a fool of yerself and watch yer team sink, take orders from a diluded Manager.

Lot of negatives and some positives on here after Sunday. I'm always a glass half full so my spin;

For all I have said about Dunn not performing the last 18 months he controlled the game in the first half and I think that comes with him wearing the armband. Maybe a mental thing? He was actually winning tackles, holding midfield, and put in a great display. Shame his body can't match his heart any more.

Rochina - doesn't need explaining, his goal was a touch of Spanish class. Shame he went off a with a tight calf like Dunn. Don't think he the player to screen Salgado though if Salgado is going to see the season out.

Salgado looked well of the pace during the first 60mnutes - he was a huge liability and if it was Duff coming at him in the 1st half we wouldn't half gone in and 1-1 - BUT.. when the others where getting tired at 75minutes Salgado looked the stronger physically of our team.

Junior - True Rovers warrior. Only Nelson/Salgado/Givet would ever go in like that for us. Man needs a knighthood it takes real balls to give away 3 stone and 5inches at the death of injury time.

Petrovic was poor. Poor distribution, and poor/lack of tackles. Needs to get upto speed and quickly.

Lowe didn't do an awful lot, but looked comfortable when he was o the ball. Look forward to seeing some more of him before passing real judgement.

Goodwillie was dead on his legs. The lad needs to get fit and quickly - he's young and strong, but coming from the SPL doesn't have the stamina of the EPL yet. I would have replaced him with the Yak but he too is obviously not fit and is the type of player who with his huge frame who needs a good run of games. The lone striker option is going to be a tough 1 if Kean is phasing Roberts out and doesn't want to play him. I respect Kean for dropping Roberts. Some people on here are actually saying play him? Make your minds up he was public enemy number 1 the day before with his PR Machine?

Dann could have easily give away 2 penalties for some obvious shirt pulling on Hengleland. Needs to be careful. Other than that he did what I expect for what he has cost us.

Givet was dreadful at LB. Can't be helped though without Olsson. Thought Olsson as usual (aoart from Junior he's my favourite Rovers player) was superb especially as he shouldn't have been playing. Givet was a rock once moved into the middle though. Saved his skin with his 2nd performance.

And finally it just wasn't Formicas day at the office yesterday. He was well marked and looked a little tired aswell. He did an awful lot of back tracking putting himself in the wrong half.

Overall although we shouldn't have put ourselves on the back foot so much, I thought we defended with some real heart in the 2nd half. We could have easily been 3/4-1 down after the second half if it was not for Givet, Salgado and 2 superb Robbo saves. They did well. We could have folded and been sat here with another loss.

1st half we should have cleared up and put the game to bed though. I was disappointed with (i think it was) Formica, he was clear through in the opening few minutes and should have buried it. If we had gone in 2-0 up at half time I think we would be much happier today.

Overall on the day a good point from a defensive point of view - in reality, we need to be fitter, some players need to get upto speed (Petrovic especially) and we need to take our chances when we can to put a game to bed earlier.

Still not in the Kean out bridgade yet - I thought the lads fought hard in the second half and could have given up eventually. Lots of room for improvement but as said earlier by others, a point away to Fulham is a good point. This is a team playing European football, with a manager WE wanted, who held United, Chelsea and Arsenal to draws last season at home.

Would we be complaining if Jol was at Rovers and we had only picked up 2 points so far and drew with Fulham at home? I think some people would.

Rickvtr,
Let me ask you this. What happened at Craven Cottage on the 11th March 2009 under Sam Allardyce because you just said we didn't win there under him. Now the game I watched that night (under Sam) saw Jason Roberts score and lift us to 15th in the league. I remember the game very well because afterwards I went into London on an a massive drink to celebrate, (great night btw).
There's one golden rule when you are trying to be clever and that is make sure you have got your facts right! You should follow that advice Rick.
