The answer to your question is that there are plenty of managers out there, some with Premiership experience, some with Championship, some abroad, all of whom would give us a better opportunity of surviving in this league than Kean. Kean has sat in his office since May and allowed us to get into a position where we are 10 players down on last season's narrow survival squad. It's his fault the squad is in this pathetic state. That's why he should get the sack. If you expect people to sit through another 37 games like today without them calling for the manager's head then you must be happy to watch us get relegated. You also seem to be forgetting that this is now 'Kean's squad'. Last seasons excuses of it being Allardyce's 'hoofball' team and the 'lets give Kean time to adapt to the job' no longer stand up this season. There are no excuses.

Ok defenders injured nothing you can do about that but still should have brought in some back up before now no excuse for that!! If there isn't real investment come the end of the window there needs to be coordinated protests in all 4 corners of the ground on match days and burning of the venky logo on every other day. I will personally make it my goal to find every shred of venky company mal practice and animal cruelty and publicise to the widest audience possible. They wont have a brand when im finished. The anger is simmering after yesterday and only a positive summer investment will dampen it

Agree, no team should sack their manager after one game. However, Kean has had nine months in the job and has a shameful record of 5 league wins from 22 games, and has won 2 in the last 15. Surely a record like that should see any professional manager axed? In terms of alternatives, the list is endless. Names such as Benitez, Curbishley, Hughes would all be worth a try. If not then look at the Championship with people like Poyet, Grayson, Eriksson, all of whom have far greater credentials than our dear Steve Kean. I won't accept that we are 'stuck with him'. It is our duty as supporters to try everything we can to force a change. I'm just praying Venkys fire him after he is convicted for drink driving tomorrow. However I won't hold my breath. He could be a mass murderer and they'd still stick by him. I wish they'd shown the same relentless loyalty and support for allardyce. What a tart you are. I am p***ed off that numpties like you have allowed Venky's to drag our team down this far. I have been warning how these no nothing, far less money than they have you believe, useless sods are bad for the team. Under them we will never have anything. By all means, try to entertain, particularly against the mid table teams at home, but we conceded today straight after scoring and straight after they had missed the penalty. So let me get this straight sutty, you have a girlfriend that laughs at the plight of one of your own players when he is struggling and played out of position, just to build his confidence i guess. Nice girl, seems to me you should get married, a fine matched pair.

I said I'd give them until the end of the transfer window and guess what, thats exactly what I'm going to do. Yeah i'm p1ssed off we lost. But I can recognise that if we had a full strength side out we would have probably won the game. As slongio and others have pointed out, if you take your first choice centre halves out of any side your in trouble, then take their replacement out too, your in more trouble. Then you take your best, until Raca got here, centre mid out and play him at centre half, your in even more trouble. If a team like Bolton had three cb's missing well its pretty easy to work out isn't it.
As slongio says, there are no Venky luvvies or Steve Kean Luvvies, we're just prepared to give them a chance. We say they will be judged at the end of the tranfer window and thats the way it is.
So we will take your other point too. Say we sacked Steve Kean, what then, who would come in with the window shut and the same owners, maybe you can get your girlfriend to figure that one out for you. I was at the game with my girlfriend and even she was laughing at Nzonzi trying to deal with things as a CB. I mean it's just ludicrous. I'm a big fan of Nzonzi, think he's a cracking little CM, bags of energy, but I think everyone at the ground could see immediately the lad just isn't cut out to be center back. . When the final whistle went I didn't boo. I was just too sad at what the hell is going on at my club. I've seen it coming for a while, but it doesn't make it any easier when you see it happen. . The one silverlining to this is that perhaps now the Steve Kean fan club and Venky luvvies will finally 'smellthecoffee' (what an apt name you have buddy), and realise how foolish they've been the past couple of months. Especially as they've been abusive towards those here who have been (rightly) critical of the manager/owners. . And before any luvvies chime in: "oh this is only 1 game, you can't get on the bandwagon and sack a manager after 1 game". Well THIS IS NOT ONE GAME. Keans record is abysmal for ANY leauge. . So here are some facts. KEANS MANAGERIAL STATS: . - 9 months in the job - 5 league wins in 22 games - won 2 from the last 15 . The good thing is, this season he won't be able to hide behind Big Sams points, so he'll have no excuses now. . The situation is still repairable, but only whilst the window is open. If Venkys DON'T spend, then I want them the hell out of my club as they'll be nothing but liars, frauds and officially incompetent owners in my eyes. . But whatever happens with Venkys, we cannot go on with this guy. We need a REAL manager, not a kit guy. Hopefully now some of the fools here realise it. . WAKE UP LUVVIES. DONUT KEAN OUT.

So let me get this straight sutty, you have a girlfriend that laughs at the plight of one of your own players when he is struggling and played out of position, just to build his confidence i guess. Nice girl, seems to me you should get married, a fine matched pair.
What part of we had no centre backs do you both not understand?
I said I'd give them until the end of the transfer window and guess what, thats exactly what I'm going to do. Yeah i'm p1ssed off we lost. But I can recognise that if we had a full strength side out we would have probably won the game. As slongio and others have pointed out, if you take your first choice centre halves out of any side your in trouble, then take their replacement out too, your in more trouble. Then you take your best, until Raca got here, centre mid out and play him at centre half, your in even more trouble. If a team like Bolton had three cb's missing well its pretty easy to work out isn't it.
As slongio says, there are no Venky luvvies or Steve Kean Luvvies, we're just prepared to give them a chance. We say they will be judged at the end of the tranfer window and thats the way it is.
So we will take your other point too. Say we sacked Steve Kean, what then, who would come in with the window shut and the same owners, maybe you can get your girlfriend to figure that one out for you. Oh sorry forgot she's lacking upstairs as well. Do you Sutty take this bugalow as your awful wedded wife? made for eachother

@Chris you were right about not getting players at right time...doing business at last moment is hardly a good way to start a season.....now we have to do catch up work whole season..
On other note what are your thoughts about current front line guys of rovers. To me formica, rochina and goodwille looked good.

The time for giving them the benefit of maybe confused press statements and India continent nievety and unfamiliarity with English prem footie is done...we need to see action this week, three or more players in and (hopefully) Kean out.

Venkys wont go away though, but they need to show their mettle now, before the new season runs away from us.

Well this happens whenever you sack a manager, you have to have the balls to know when to do it. It's never a good time. Summer would have been a good time, but obviously that boat's passed now. . The prudent move would be to seek out and appoint a proven top level manager FIRST, then give Kean his dole cheque. As others have mentioned on this page, there are numerous candidates available. . We conceded two goals when not concentrating yesterday and we also took 12 corners and did not look like scoring from them. As a mid table team we HAVE to get more from our set pieces and we HAVE to work harder than the opposition.

We were always going to struggle with none of our "aggressive" senior players playing, but we did let ourselves down badly in basic disciplines.

With Formica, olssen, hoillet and goodwillie, we will score more goals this season...but we HAVE to be more ruthless!!!

Even last season when we endured that wretched run, and ESPECIALLY even when he was disgracefully done for drink driving. Hence, the 'fanclub'.

With all due respect to Wolves if we are getting beat by them at home on the first game of the season then it is time to worry!

They have made exactly the type of signings our disgusting owners should have done. Johnson and O'Hara - two proven premier league quality players - cost £12 million between them. That is the standard we are up against and we should be matching. As it is our Indian friends are doing exactly what the Walker trust did before them. Selling off our best players and not reinvesting the money. My prediction for the next two weeks: sell Samba & Diouf for £15 million and sign two unheard of and unproven players. By September 1st they will have a tidy £30 million profit from summer transfers, not to mention wages. Not bad for two months 'work'.

Don’t think so (don’t quote me) looks like they are going in with an improved bid for Everton’s Jagielka. . I like Samba he gives his all but, he makes plenty of mistakes -perhaps a top club doesn’t want that type of player!
