Blackburn Rovers blog: Stop making idiots of us all Blackburn Rovers blog: Stop making idiots of us all

O wad some Power the giftie gie us, To see oursels as ithers see us. - Robbie Burns.

Seeing ourselves, or more specifically the reputation of our football club, as others see us has not been a pleasant experience for Rovers fans since the sacking of Sam Allardyce a week ago.

No more can we shake our heads with a supercilious laugh at those barcode Geordies.

In the eyes of the vast majority of the media and especially the managers mafia, we have already usurped Newcastle as the club who just shot itself in the foot.

In an interesting debate on Sky Sports News at the weekend, only Charlie Nicholas of all the assembled pundits refrained from pouring scorn and derision on the decision to sack Big Sam, by owners who by common consent knew as much about football as Jeff Stelling knew about poultry farming.

Even Charlie’s support of his friends’ actions (for he is you see a Kentaro man!) was decidedly lukewarm.

Even those who do see some sense and purpose in Sam’s sacking because they didn’t like his style of football must surely be embarrassed by some of the utterances that have come from the mouths of our new owners and in particular Madame Desai (pictured below).

Ridiculous, fanciful and often contradictory, her public statements have been a lesson in how not to endear yourself to supporters. I have taken to calling her Anuradha in Wonderland because she would certainly give Alice a run for her money in terms of bizarre statements.

Almost inevitably the new post-Sam era for Blackburn RAOvers opened with a whimper rather than a bang.

I had thought we were incredibly lucky to have been one of only two Premier League fixtures to have beaten the weather but one awful game, one disappointing point, 10 near frostbitten toes, and three injuries later I wished it had been called off.

Paul Merson is not the brightest light on the Christmas tree, so I hope his prediction that ‘I can see this lot going down now’ will prove to be unfounded.

But I am certainly more worried about relegation than I was before the change of manager.

Much is going to depend upon the actions rather than the words of Venky’s and their ‘advisors’ over the next month, particularly with regard to transfers and appointing a new manager.

If I was to be so bold as to offer advice to them I would respectfully suggest they stop making idiots of us all and put trust in our chairman John Williams and his team to know what is best for our club.

Thank God John, Tom Finn and the team are still there.

Disgusted, embarrassed, angry, vengeful at the clueless decisions and incoherent ramblings of these Indian Farmers!

How the hell have they been allowed to buy Rovers... The trust, the Board and most importantly the Premier League/ Scudamore and crew, should ALL be investigated!
There can be no other reason as to why DIRTY STINKING VENKY'S Passed the "Fit and Proper" test, other than greed and **** for money!

Until this mess is rectified and they are OUT, my season ticket will remain in the drawer!

LOVE ROVERS
HATE VENKY'S

Yes thank goodness Williams and co are still there. "Small town in europe" what a wonderful slogan for future global marketing that would be.

Maybe Williams should be ridding the world of poverty anyway since every single thing he does is wonderful.

And by the way there is nothing 'parochial' about not wanting to be taken for a ride by clueless amateurs. I'd class that as being wise to the world (wouldn't you), most fans accept that the premier league is a world stage with world wide opportunities, the Venkeys groups are the wrong people though, their actions are speaking louder than words.
